The Roof

I take my chance and run, he grabs me but I push him back, unlocking the door and yanking it open I'm out into the street and he's seconds behind me but that don't stop me running

I follow paths that I hope are familiar until I reach home, I burst open the door and run upstairs wanting to get away from him

'Tracy?' Lily says but I don't stop I take a quick breath but he's gaining speed

I look round until I see the ladder

'Tracy no!' Lily begs me but I don't listen

I place my trembling palms on the ladder

I needed to get away from him.

No. I needed someone to listen to me.

I frantically climb the ladder and soon enough I'm on the roof

'I just need someone to listen to me' I say desperately

'GINA!!' I hear lily scream behind me

I grab onto the chimney, trying to stop shaking

'Liam no! Keep away from her!' I hear lily say angrily

'It's none of your business Lily' he says back

I watch them helplessly

If he comes up here I'm dead, he's too obsessed!

All of a sudden I hear lily scream and quickly turn to see he's shoved her onto the floor

'What have you done!?' I say, horrified

I turn to see mike coming up the drive

'Mike help me!' I scream desperately

'TRACY GO BACK INSIDE!!' He shouts

'I can't!' I say desperately

'Liam please just stop and think' I beg him but it's like he's possessed!

'I have thought and all I want is you Tracy' he says

'But get this into your head! You can't have me!' I shout angrily

'You're the only one who understands' he says

'Mike forget me, go and check on Lily!' I shout

He nods and runs into the house soon enough we've gathered an audience

'What's going on? I hear Tee say

I step forward I'm nearly on the edge but I need them to listen to me!

'Liam has been obsessed with me for months, years even. And it has to end now' I say turning round to him

Everyone looks shocked as Carmen hears about lily she runs back into the house

'Tracy please just listen to me, I'll explain everything' he says

I look at him and he seems normal again

But I can't trust him

'Keep away from me' I say angrily

'Just listen to me! You really get me and I'm truly sorry that I've put you through all of this' he says

I look up at him my eyes filling with tears it looks like this is finally over

He reaches for me and I take his hand he leads me to safety

But I didn't realise how slippery it is

'Liam!' I shout before pushing him out of the way to safety, I slip back and luckily manage to hold onto the roof

'Tracy!!' Everyone shouts in horror
