Adalia - POV

I hugged Andrew and ran to my own house to beat Nate there. I was praying that I'll be there before him.

I was too happy to see him because he was gonna ask me to the dance, at least that's what I think.

I was on my street and saw a figure walking opposite of me. I realized it's Nate then ran into my driveway where I quickly unlocked the door and shut it.

There was a knock on my door.

I threw my shoes at the mat and went to the front door.

I opened the door and saw Nate standing there.

"Hey." He says.

"Hi! Come in." I motion him in and close the door behind him.

"Are you okay? You seem like you just ran a marathon." He asks while hugging me.

"Yeah, my room is quite far from here."

"Oh."

He totally believed it.

"Where is your dad?"

"He's at work."

"Oh, cool. Andrew said hi by the way."

"Ok."

What? I just saw him.

"Cool house."

"Thanks."

"It's way cooler than mine and Andrew's."

"Nah, I don't believe that," I say.

"You have a movie theater, and a piano keyboard, and an office!"

"Well, ye-"

"And a huge kitchen, and two living rooms!" He shouts.

"Okay, my house is cooler than yours and Andrew's."

"Way cooler." He says poking me.

"It's way cooler," I say.

"Thaaank you." He says smiling.

"You're welcome."

I poke him back. It turned into a poking war until we decided to go to my room.

We head up there and just chill out on my bed.

"Is this where you first called me?" He asks.

"Well, you called me, and yes."

"Can I live with you?" He jokes.

I laugh it off, "If you want."

He laughs with me.

(...)

"Wanna watch a movie?" I ask getting up.

"Sure."

"Let's go."

I grab his arm and head to the spot on the balcony where the projector was. He decided that I should pick a movie.

All we have are children's movies but whatever, at least they're full of adventure.

I picked up Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and was about to put it in the thing.

"Wait, Adalia." Nate stops me.

"I knew I should've chosen Despicable Me."

"No, it's not that, I need to talk to you."

Is he gonna ask me to the dance?
