ZEE~~
I was beginning to grow irritated and annoyed being in here. They were gonna come for me soon, to stick me with needles and do all sorts of extractions. I was usually the brave one in my family and in my group of friends, but this time i was devastated and panicking at every sound i heard on the other end of my steel door. I knew they were going to come for me to do whatever it was i heard them planning the other day, but when?...when was the question.
"This is taking too long, what is he waiting for!?"
"He says things are moving too casually...i don't know what that means so i cannot answer your question Dr. Toria."
"She's getting weaker, she can die at any moment!", "we need to move quickly."
There was no doubt in my mind that it was me those two people were arguing about. The one named Dr. Toria was definitely a woman and the other was a man. Was she the one who brought me back to my room yesterday? how soon was i going to die? what were they going to do with me?...when!? when!? I was freaking out, pacing up and down the empty room, gripping and pulling at my hair like one of those mental patients at a psych ward on those shows i used to watch. The minute i was about to head to the door to try to ease-drop some more, it opened. The woman from yesterday walked in and shut the door behind her.
"Hi there Brazil, my name is Dr. Sandy Toria, sorry i didn't get a chance to properly introduce myself the other day." She said to me with a warm smile.
"...H-hi." I answered, nervous of what her intentions were.
"You don't have to be afraid. I'm just here to do a check up, okay?" She sat her stuff down on the little silver tray she brought in with her and i eyed every movement she made. She sat on my mattress and gestured for me to come sit next to her. I slowly made my way over, being very cautious. "I don't trust you." I said blantly as i sat down.
"And i do not blame you at all.", "Give me your hand."
I extended my arm and she rubbed alcohol on the inner crease of my elbow and began sticking a needle into my vein, drawing blood into two viles. She checked my pressure, my heart rate, my eyes, ears, nose, everything. It was like being in my doctor's office, except my mother wasn't with me. "What are you going to do with my blood?" I asked her, as she was packing everything away. She got up and shot a gentle smile towards me and said, "Run some tests. Get a closer look at your DNA and such." I gave her a puzzled look and her smile disappeared. She quickly turned and headed for the door.
"Wait!" I said, trying to get up. My legs wobbled weakly beneath me and i was forced to sit back on the mattress.
She stopped and turned to look at me.
"When am i going to get out of here?"
"I-i'm afraid i don't know Brazil. Drink plently of water, you should have your strength back soon." With that she exited the room and shut the door. a tear escaped my eyes as i heard her punching in the code to lock the door again. I was beginning to believe that i would always be locked up like a caged...monster, for the rest of my worthless life.
COMMUNICATOR~~
(back at The Cove)
"Do you have any idea where she is?"
"Of course i haven't."
"Then how in the hell would you be able to reach her mind to communicate with her Dex!?" Zel had a point, we've only been able to reach one another through familiarity, whether it be with the person, or with their location. We didn't know Brazil or anything about her, just that she was one of us.
