Chapter 5

COMMUNICATOR (DEX)~~

I woke up feeling good. Better than i'd had in a while. I layed in bed wondering what could possibly ruin me today besides maybe the splitting headache that suddenly started to surround my thoughts. I sat up and realised all the clothes on the floor and the three empty alcohol bottles inbetween them. What the hell did i do last night?

There was a shift in my bed followed by a groan and a yawn. I turned around and noticed the messy blonde curls and the familiar face as she arrose and sat up, pulling my sheets up to cover her bare chest. I buried my face in my hands and swore under my breath. "What?" she asked, "You've seen me look like this on many occasions." I looked at her and shook my head, remembering the events of last night. How douchier can i get?

"Look, Tilly, i'm sorry i shouldn't have taken my anger out on you." I said as i got up and began putting my pants back on. 

"What in blazes are you talking about?" She stood up, "Did you not mean to sleep with me?"

'No...i didn't. I was upset with Zel and we get drunk, that's all to it."  The look on her face when i spoke those words showed nothing but hurt and disgust for me. "So are we back together or am i just your sex toy?" She asked, while angrily putting her clothes back on. "Because i can't keep letting you use me like this, i have feelings too Dex!" I walked up to her and parted my lips to respond but she held her hand up to my face and said, "Save it..." before exiting my room and slamming the door shut. Looked like my day wasn't going to be as great as i thought.

-----------ABOUT AN HOUR LATER

Everyone in the cove was frantic. I was lost as to what all the commotion was about so i started looking for anyone who might have a clue. I ran across to HQ room and saw mother, Zel and Finn scanning statistics, reading news feeds and pacing up and down the room. "Anybody cares to inform me about what the hell is happening right now?"  Mother stopped pacing and walked over to me. "Sweet heart, Z-Tech knows we're aware of Brazil's taking. They know we're looking for her and they're getting ready to relocate...again." She gave me a positive kind of look but i knew how angry she was, it showed clear as day in her silver glowing eyes. 

"You wanna know how they found out genius?" Finn addressed me. "One of their men saw tire tracks from a transporter at a sight they were last at. Wonder how that got there?"  He made a sarcastic pensive gesture and then rolled his eyes before returning to the computer screen. I passed my hand through my hair in frustration and sat down. "Listen, Mother..." She threw her papers on the desk and looked at me. It was clear she couldn't hide her anger anymore.

"You listen Dexter!", "I am trying my utmost best to protect all of us but i cannot do that if each of you keep disobeying my orders. I told you all not to go looking for any clues on your own but you just had to prove how stubborn you are didn't you!?". "Who knows where they are going to take her now...or what they are going to do to her just to spite us."  I tried to get a few words in to justify my actions but before i could Zel spoke up. "Mother, it was my idea for Dex to go there. I was just trying to help him, it's my fault this is happening." Mother turned to Zel and gave her a look of disappointment. "What were you two thinking?"

"I spoke to her Mother." I said, getting up and walking over to where Zel stood. "I spoke to Brazil Tanner."

"You are going to kill me before my time Dex. If your father was here he would.."
