Madilyn swiveled around, shock overtaking her face. I guess no Monster has talked back to her.
"What did you sssay?"
I rolled my eyes, tieing my long blonde hair up. "Are you deaf too? I said, 'I know
what dead means, Idiot.'"
"I'm the Idiot!?" She shrieked. "A dog is ssmart enough to know that you don't messs with me! I'm the geniuss here."
"Yeah, your head is so big," I tapped her head. "That your snakes look like they took up that offer as balloon animals."
Suddenly I felt her grab my arm, while I was talking, my sleeve rid up showing my
bracelet as I had tapped her head.
"Crap," I muttered ripping my arm out of her grip.
"Asspen?!" Her eyes blazed through her shades, her snakes moving furiously. She grabbed ahold of my bracelet, making it break off of my arm and glide across the room.
Madilyn took off her sunglasses slowly,
"I guesss Asspen can't ssave you now," She taunted.
As she looked into my blue eyes, her red ones widened. She pointed a shaky finger at me.
"Y-you'r-re Asspe-en?" She stuttered.
I smirked knowingly, "Yep. And guess what? I'm pretty mad right now!"
My vision then became all red. Before I knew it, I was at the door of my Siren
room. I straightened my pink dress, pulled my hair out of my ponytail, and opened the door. I laid down in my bed, just beside Valerie, who was reading a book.
"Did you hear what happened?"
Valerie asked, facing me after putting her book
down.I looked over to her and sighed, "What?"
She put her elbows on her knees, her hands under her chin.
Pulling a strand of her brown hair behind her ear, she started talking, "Madilyn was killed. All that was left was her skeleton and some ashes."
"God," My blue eyes widened. "That's crazy."
"I know right? Didn't you just talk-"
Abruptly, our door violently swung open, interrupting her. The Vampire and Werewolf
from earlier, ran in, both looking frantic.
"They know you did it!" The Werewolf yelled at me, his hazel golden filled with anxiety. "Couldn't you waited?!"
Valerie and I jumped up quickly, with no hesitation, she started asking questions."What is going on?" Valerie asked, her green eyes filled with confusion.
"Why did you do it?! You could've got hurt!" The Vampire roared, ignoring Valerie.
"She made me mad, alright? I know that I should have waited as the plan said,
but I did it, she provoked me. She broke my bracelet-" They all looked at me then, and I took a deep breath. "No one breaks my bracelet or necklace, and you know it."
"Well, now they know you did it. A Monster had been waiting outside for Madilyn,
and I guess they heard the commotion, looked inside and saw you and Madilyn fighting.
What the heck, Aspen? You could have gotten hurt! You're a prodigy, we know! But, we
all waited for this moment, trained together and all that stuff, so this would go swiftly."
The Werewolf pulled at his dark brown hair, looking at me with sad eyes.
I gave him a look, "You know this would become a war either way."
He gave an aggressive sigh, "That's not the point though. The point is, you're a
hero, a prodigy to the world, but you're family to us."
I looked up at my family, "Come on, let's go kick some Monster but
