Don't Leave Me

Today I have the meeting with Amanda from "People." Tuesday afternoon I emailed her saying that I wanted to meet at the coffee house I always go to on campus at around 9am.  She said that that was a good time and place.

So, it is about 7:45am and I am about to start getting ready to go. Usually, I would eat breakfast, but since we are meeting at the coffee house at 9am, I think I should just hold off. Plus they're paying for the food so...

I get up, brush my teeth, wash my face, and begin with my makeup. Once I am finished with my makeup, I fix my hair by curling it a bit with my straightener. Then, I go to my closet and pick out my outfit. I decide on my black crop shirt, my high-waisted blue, white, and black plaid pants, and my black booties.

I check the mirror one last time to make sure everything looked good. 

I grab my purse, keys, and phone and head out of the dorm. I am walking towards the coffee house and it is about 8:30am. I take a little detour towards the courtyard and ask someone to take a few pictures for me. The person takes some good pictures for me and then I head towards the coffee house.

It is about 8:55am now and Amanda has not arrived yet, so I just sit down at a high table by a window and wait. Before, though, I talked to the café to ask if it was ok that they were coming and they said it was all good.

Amanda and the camera crew arrive at around 9:10am and I wave them over.

"Sorry we're a little late," said Amanda, "we got stuck in traffic and they had some trouble bringing the equipment," she said as she pointed to the camera crew.

"It's all ok!" I said to them with a smile.

"Have you ordered anything yet?" she asked me.

"No, not yet," I said.

"Would you like something?" she asked.

"Umm, yes please. A venti cramberry cooler and a tomato-mozzarella panini please," I said.

Amanda nodded and went to order. A few minutes later when she came back, she had my order and hers.

"Ok," she said placing down our food, "do you want to get started?"

I nodded and the cameras and the mics that are on our shirts turned on.

"Hello Jade! Thank you so much for meeting with me," she says.

"Thank you so much for having me!" I say back to her.

Amanda and I start off with just a few questions about myself and how I got to meet the BTS boys.

"That is a crazy story," said Amanda in amazement, "and I mean look at you now."

Amanda laughs and I giggle back.

"Ok, now for what the audience really wants to know," Amanda says, and then pauses, "you and Jungkook."

I laugh and ask, "Ok, what does the audience want to know?"

"Well, I have a few questions here from Twitter from some of your fans," Amanda says.

I nod and she takes them out of the envelope.

"First, what was your initial thought when you saw Jungkook?"

"Well I have been a BTS fan since before I met them, but to be honest, I was a Taehyung stan, but when I met the boys, Jungkook just stood out to me and he was so sweet to me."

"That is so cute!" said Amanda.

I just laughed to myself as I quickly thought about the guys and Jungkook.

"Ok,second question. What is something that you love about Jungkook? Like your favorite thing."

"Amanda! I can't think of one thing! But let's see. I love his personality and how funny he is and how kind he is. He is very thoughtful of others and he can be a real romantic. He always knows how to make me laugh and make me feel better when I'm down," I say smiling and giggling to myself.

"He sounds like a real keeper," Amanda says.

"He is," I say smiling slightly.

"Ok, third question. What is your favorite accessory of his? Well, something you just love him wearing."

"He looks good in anything he wears," I say, "But, I of course love the promise rings we both have, but I love his glasses. You know the round ones he wears? He has really bad eyesight, so he wears his glasses when he's around his band mates and I, and occasionally in public, but he doesn't like them so much. I personally think he looks cute with them on."

"I've seen pictures of him with them on, and they look like very stylish glasses," Amanda says.

"Oh for sure!" I say.

"Now, fourth and last question about you and Jungkook from Twitter," says Amanda, "What is one thing that only you and Jungkook do? Something you guys maybe do in private backstage or something that you guys do before a performance."

"Well Amanda, if I told you guys, then it wouldn't be a private thing between us anymore," I said with a smirk and a wink to the camera.

"Ok ok, that's true," she says.

For the rest of the interview, she asks me about the rest of the guys and some of the other K-Pop bands.

For example, one of her questions was, "If you were in a girl group, which group would it be? Also, which girl group song is your go-to karaoke song?"

And I replied with, "I think I would either be in BlackPink or Itzy, and my go-to karaoke song is, I think, probably 'Kiss And Make Up' by Dua Lipa and BlackPink."

There were just a few questions like that and questions about how the other BTS members and I interact.

It is now about 11:15am, and the interview is almost over.

"Well Jade, thank you so much for letting us meet with you," she says smiling.

"Thank you so much Amanda for having me! I would love to do this again," I said.

"For sure! Maybe even with Jungkook and the rest of the band," she said with a smile.

I laughed and nodded my head.

Amanda turned to the cameras and said, "I am Amanda from People, and you have just watched 'People Ask Jade Storm'."

I smile to the camera, wave, and blow a kiss.

The lights, mics, and cameras turn off.

"Jade, thank you again for letting us come out here to interview you. Hope to see you soon," Amanda says shaking my hand.

"The pleasure is all mine. I'd love to do this again!" I said shaking her hand back.

Within a few minutes, Amanda and the whole camera crew are out of the building and off campus. They pack up fast.

I head back to my dorm and lie on my bed.

I take out my phone and text Jungkook, "First interview finished! Should be on YouTube soon! Glad I survived :) Talk to you soon <3"

I place my phone down, turn on the TV to "Friends," and at some point I fall asleep.
