Don't Leave Me

The hostess seats us in the back of the restaurant in a little corner.

"Is this table ok for you guys?" asks the hostess.

"Yes, perfect," I say as Jungkook pulls out the chair for me.  He pushes the chair in and sits across from me.

"Thanks," I say getting situated, and then I ask, "Have you been here before?"

"Yeah, I came here a few months ago for my mom's birthday," he says.

"Oh that's sweet," I say.  I wonder if I'm ever going to meet his parents.  I mean, he's already met my mom, he's stayed at our house.

I look at the menu and decide to get some noodles and beef.  Jungkook get's the same thing.

"When do you have to leave?" he asks me. 

"Tomorrow night," I say looking down.

"I wish you didn't have to go back," he says.

I give him a slight smile, "Yeah.  Me, too.  That's what I said to you when you left Boston to come back here," I say laughing a little.

"Well obviously we want to be together all the time," he says laughing.

"I mean who wouldn't?" I jokingly ask him.

Our food arrives and we eat our food.  When we finish, we order some Chocolate Lava Cake for dessert.

I see the waitress bringing the cake over, and I see something sparkly on top.

When she set's it down on the table, I see a ring.  The ring is on a little flower on top of the cake.  He isn't asking me to marry him is he?

"What's this?" I ask pointing to the ring confused.

"Well," he says picking it up, "In case you are thinking I'm asking you to marry you, I'm not."

I sigh a little bit of relief, "Oh ok.  I thought you were and I was like, 'too soon.'"

He gives me a little smile and says, "Yeah, no it's not an engagement ring, but it's a promise ring.  I want you to promise to be mine no matter what and never leave me.  So, Jade Storm, will you promise to be mine until the day I want you to be my wife?"

I slightly giggle and say, "Yes."

He reaches across the table and picks up my hand and places the ring on my left hand ring finger.  The ring is just a little gold band that has some diamonds in the front and is just a plain band in the back. 

He kisses the ring on my hand and smiles at me.  My cheeks are getting hot.

"Want to know something else," he says.

"What?" I ask him.

"I have the same ring in silver," he says as he lifts up his hand to show me the ring.

"Did you buy them at the same time or something?" I ask him taking his hand.

"No, actually, I got this ring a long time ago and I wear it all the time, so I got one made just like it for you, but in Gold."

I look up at him, making sure he isn't kidding.  I really do love this person sitting in front of me.

"You did that?" I ask him.

"Yeah," he says smiling.

I stand up and he stands up and I give him the biggest hug and kiss.

We hug for a minute and then we sit back down and eat the cake.  We talk for a little bit longer and then they give us the check.

"So you're paying right?" he asks me smiling amused.

"Um," I say giving a little smirk, "You asked me, so you pay the check," pushing the check towards him.

He gives me a small smile and puts his card in the little thing they gave us.

When they bring his card back, we both stand up.  I grab my purse and he walks over to my side of the table and places wraps his arm around my waist and we head out.

The paparazzi is standing there, cameras ready.  So, stop at the doorstep of the restaurant and wave and smile for a minute while waiting for the car to pull up.

The valet arrives with the car and gives Jungkook the keys and Jungkook gives him a little tip and opens the door for me and then gets into the drivers seat.

We are now on the way back the house and we are hand-in-hand again.  He picks up my hand and kisses the back of it and places it down on his leg.  He has my hand on top of his and is rubbing the ring on my finger.

"Thank you for tonight," I say looking at him again.

We get to a stop light and he looks at me and says, "Thank you for saying 'yes'."

"Oh it was no problem," I say looking straight ahead.  The light is now green, so he begins to drive again and I lean over and give him a kiss on the cheek.

We get to the house and it is now about 10:00pm, so we walk inside and all the guys are sitting on the couch watching TV.  They all turn when they see us and they turn down the volume.

"Hey love birds!  How was dinner?" asks V.

"It was ok," I say taking off my shoes and going sit down on the chair.

"It was ok?" asks Jimin giving Jungkook a questioned look.

I place my hand on the armrest, in a slightly obvious way, and V is the first one to notice.

"Woah Jade!  What is this?" asks V pointing at it.

I look up and around trying to be aloof and say, "Oh just some costume jewelry I got tonight."

Jungkook is sitting on the armrest now and I look up at him and laugh.

"Good job Kookie," says V giving him a slap on the arm.

We all sit around in the living room for a little bit longer, chatting and laughing.

Now it's about 10:45pm and I am honestly so exhausted.

So, I say to the guys, "Hey I'm going to go to bed.  I'm really tired."

"Ok, goodnight!" says Jimin.

I give each guy a hug and we tell each other goodnight.

I give Jungkook a hug and a little peck and say goodnight.

I head to my room and take off all my makeup and change into some sweatpants and a tshirt.

Once I am done getting ready for bed, I get under the covers, turn off the lights, and fall asleep.

I've been asleep for about 20 minutes, and I feel something moving the bed, so I wake up a little and I hear someone say, "Hey it's Jungkook, sorry, go back to sleep.  Goodnight and Love you  내 사랑 (nae sa-rang) (My Love)."

"Goodnight, love you," I murmur and fall back asleep.
