Loki x Reader - Companion

Decided to try something new with POVs and I hope y'all enjoy it! I also got a bit carried away...

3rd person POV

"No way, big guy!" Tony spat out as Thor proposed his idea to him. "He tried to take over the earth so why would we let him defend it!?"

The Avengers sat in the briefing room of the tower. All of them seated except for Clint who was leaning against the wall by the door and Tony who was pacing back and forth.

"Loki and I have grown up together and I know him. He has been troublesome but what he did here in New York is not the Loki I know. He has good in him and I believe he could be useful to this team. Loki is a powerful magician and a masterful tactician. He is truly a great warrior. Odin has given him to me to watch over and I believe that because of his actions in New York that he should redeem himself through service to earth ."

"Thor, you may have a say in the decision in what he does now but there is no way that Fury, the government, or the public will let this happen. He killed hundreds of people and if he is seen on this team we won't be the good guys anymore." Steve, the ever-calm voice in these situations, said.

"That is why I have asked him to change his form. When we are on a mission or anywhere someone outside of this room is he will be a warrior from Asgard that my father has sent to accompany me on my travels. Before we left Asgard I had the best sorcerers place a spell on him that will allow me to always know where he is and if he gets out of hand I can use the spell to send him directly to a cell on Asgard. I know you have no reason to trust him, but trust me."

The discussion raged on and in the end, no one wanted him on the team. Thor was upset and determined to get Loki on the Avengers team. His opportunity came when the team went on a mission to storm a Hydra base. Natasha was supposed to infiltrate the base and collect information before they had time to delete it. Everyone else was to distract the Hydra soldiers and once Nat had collected all the information, to finish off the rest of the base.

Thor brought Loki but had him go invisible with a spell and follow Natasha to make sure she stayed safe.

Nat was fine until she was swarmed by Hydra soldiers and while they attacked her another soldier was to shoot her with a tranquilizer dart. Having a member of the Avengers would be good leverage in the future. The soldier aimed and was about to take down the redhead when Loki stabbed in through the heart from behind. He quickly helped Natasha dispatch the rest of the soldiers and they made their way to the computer room to collect the information.

This helped get at least some of the team to allow Loki to be an Avenger on the condition that he must remain with Thor at all times outside of the tower and that if he gave them any hint at betrayal he would be off the team and back to Asgard immediately.

At first, the tension was so thick in the tower it was like no one could breathe when Loki was in the same room as them. He avoided the others as much as possible only interacting when on a mission. But it pained Thor to see Loki without a companion and yet nothing he could do would get any of the Avengers to interact with Loki unless necessary. When he couldn't stand it anymore he asked Darcy what to do. She gave him some suggestions on how to get Loki a companion but only one sounded like a good idea to Thor so he immediately set about planning for it.

Loki POV

I was mad. I had been peacefully immersed in a book when my dearest brother had come into my room and grabbed me. He had dragged me through the streets disguised as his 'companion', Buri. A shorter burly man who had short reddish hair.

I had asked where we were going and when Thor didn't reply I considered vanishing back to my room to lose myself in earthen literature. But I thought better of it if I was going to remain on his good side, so I let Thor continue to lead me.
