I learned to have faith...
And I learned to love...
Thank you.
-- Valhalla, The Arena -- Hour 1 , Day 1 --
Blake swung his chain in an arc, the blade landing a few feet ahead of Reyna.
She pounced right for his chest, trying to knock the air out of him just as she did in Eden. However, Blake had already seen this coming.
He moved out of the way, sending her crashing into bloody earth. With a powerful swing, he forced the blade flat on her ankle, crushing it.
Reyna screamed as the pain shot through her body. She rolled over, dodging his next strike.
Blake could have sliced her leg clean off if he wanted to. Yet he'd chosen to bring it flat.
He's holding back... she realised as she limped closer to him. With a mixture of agility and sheer luck, Reyna managed to dodge his next blow. Now that she was merely a foot away from him, it was her chance to strike.
With a series of fluid jabs, Reyna's blade cut deep into Blake's chest, lodging the chains with his own bones. The bane screamed in agony as she continued her ambush, striking from every corner, leaping behind him whenever he came too close.
Blake was bleeding all over the place. He was helpless. With his chains lying paralysed on the earth, there was nothing he could do when Reyna stabbed him relentlessly. The weight of the chains had his arms pinned down, and the pain was driving him to the edge of his sanity. The flashes of red were getting more frequent, and Blake could feel the fear in his heart.
"Reyna stop, I'll kill you!" he screamed at her face. Tears nipped at the corner of his darkening eyes.
She paused for a second, staring at him dead in the eye.
"That's the plan."
Reyna drove the knife into his neck. Blake choked on his own blood as she stared on, her face devoid of expression as tears trickled down her cheeks.
"He knows that you can't be killed. This is the only way," she whispered into his ear as he lay on the ground, grabbing something from the pocket of her pale denim jeans. Without a moment's hesitation, she drove her foot into the wound in his chest, making him scream like he never had before. She watched as Blake's eyes went pitch black.

He had crossed the line. All Blake could do was watch as rage took over his consciousness. His chains thrashed against the ground, breaking his own bones as they drew back into his body. He shoved Reyna back with a solid kick, sending her flying backwards.
The bane stood up, his blades ready for blood now as they trembled at the edge of his fist. He dashed forward, striking down the girl who had just got back to her feet. Reyna coughed out another spurt of blood, her body paralysed from pain. He was walking towards her now, his mind now vehement on eliminating the most obvious threat to his life.
Her.
Blake struggled to take control of his frame.
Stop! STOP IT!
But all he could do was watch.
GET AWAY FROM ME!
Watch as he stood over Reyna, his blade raised above her heart.
Run! PLEASE! Please...
Watch as she let go of her blade, smiling at him while he stabbed her right through the heart.
