It was Wednesday. The day after my dilemma with Cole. I was so scared to go back to school that I was willing to lock myself in the bathroom again. I don't know what to say. Do I hurt her? Do I tell her?
As I walked down the halls to my first class, I hear a voice call out to me from behind.
"You liar"
I turn around to see a steaming Savannah and Cole.
"Savan-"
"Do not. Say. My name. You lied to me..." says Savannah as she interrupts me.
"What did I do?" I say, shocked by her tone.
She walks towards me, shaking the ground beneath.
"You kissed my boyfriend, bastard!"
I then realize. Cole had told her.
"Nooo... he kissed me." I correct her, sweating as everyone in the hall stares with surprise.
"Wait, what exactly did he tell you?" I ask.
"He said that you faked a conversation about classwork to have a few extra minutes with him so you guys can get together and dump me!" she says, looking around and realizing how much of a scene she's causing.
"What type of lie is that. V, I would never" I say, completely bewildered by his lie.
"Only my friends call me V. Why would anyone want to get together with you?" she said.
I was completely stunned by her last sentence. Then the bell rang and we were late for class.
Savannah leaves the scene and I'm left with eyes on my right, left, down, up, back, and front. They were everywhere. I couldn't believe I had lost my friendship. Over a boy.
"Damn..." a familiar voice taps my back.
"That's crazy..." I turn around to see him. Ethan Castellano. My friend of forever years.
"Oh hey... yeah, not even I know what just happened just now..." I shake my head and head on my way to class.
"But did you actually kiss him though?" he questions and trails to my side.
"HE kissed me. I pushed away," I reassure him.
"Good, you shouldn't be touched by anybody," he gets serious.
"Bro, I wasn't raped or anything. I stood my ground," I chuckle. Ethan's always been very protective of me. I don't know why but he is.
"Still, tell me next time. Not to a crowd," he murmurs.
"Don't you have a class to go to?" I change the subject, turning the corner.
"Free period, care to join me?" he offers, smiling.
I love when he smiles. It's sad though because he rarely does. He mainly smirks. He has these pearly white teeth, no braces, that he never shows. His eyes and nose are perfectly symmetrical, better than any boy in this school. He's got medium length curly brown hair that always stays to the back of his head but still manages to overflow and let loose on his forehead. His style is a rugged type. I like that. I also like how he's quirky, smart as hell, swears on the maximum and how he has a pretty deep voice that occasionally goes high at times when nervous. I notice all of these things.
How he calls me Jules instead of my full name, Julia, like everyone else does.
How he tries to talk to me or start a conversation, even when I don't want to.
How he hasn't talked about me behind my back, or at least I hope he hasn't.
Zoning back into his offer, I also had a free period. So I agreed.
