Gray pulled up outside the cabin, grabbed his stuff and jumped out of his jeep, without saying a word to either you or E. You watched him storm inside as tears welled up in your eyes; you hated how much you'd cried over him, but you couldn't help yourself. You felt a tear trickle down your skin, followed by another and another. Ethan looked over at you with apologetic eyes, as he felt guilty for what had happened. He went to take your hand, but you pulled away as soon as his skin brushed yours.

Ethan: "Y/N.." His voice was faint.

Y/N: "I'm sorry, I just- I have to talk to him.. alone," you said as you looked over to him. He slowly nodded and got out of the car, before walking down to the river. You allowed yourself a couple seconds to pull yourself back together, before getting out the car and walking over to the front door. Your parents, Sean and Lisa were all in the living room, watching a movie. Your mum looked up from the TV and smiled at you, but you didn't have the energy to even try and smile back, so you just ignored her and walked up the stairs. You stood outside Grayson's room for a minute or two, before bringing yourself to knock on the door. No response. You tried again, but there was still no answer. You slowly opened the door and saw him sitting on the edge of his bed, head in hands and his back towards you.

Y/N: "Gray..?" Your voice was shaky, and you were trying your best to keep it together. He didn't say anything, but stood up and turned to face you. His eyes were slightly puffy as if he'd been crying. You wanted to run into his arms and tell him what truly happened, but how could you without creating a feud between the two boys. Instead, you gently closed his door and slid against it to the floor.

Y/N: "Gray, you need to listen to me.." He sat on the other side of the room and looked at you, no emotion in his eyes; he was numb. You both sat in silence for a couple seconds before you went to speak, but he interrupted you.

Gray: "Y/N, I've known you for years, and I know that you're not the type of person to go behind people's backs or lie. So I'm going to trust whatever you choose to say to me."

Y/N: "Gray, I need you to believe me when I say that nothing happened between me and E. This morning he had said some things to me, about you, because he was concerned about whatever it is that is going on between us. And what you saw down at the waterhole was him apologising for his misjudgement. He never meant any harm towards you, or me. I just didn't know how to tell you without turning you two against each other.." You wiped away a tear and looked down at your hands. You couldn't bear to look at him right now, because you knew that if you did you would lose all self-control and break down.

Y/N: "I'm sorry if you thought I'd betrayed you, I truly am." You heard him stand up, and you watched as he made his way over to you. He bent down so that he was level with you, and brought your face to meet his. You gazed into his eyes and smiled.

Y/N: "Gray, you're my best friend, and I can't lose you. Not now, not ever."

Gray: "Y/N, I believe you. I understand that you were worried about my relationship with E, but he's my brother. I could never stay mad at him." He leaned in and kissed your lips softly, before pulling away and gazing into your eyes.

Gray: "And I could never stay mad at you. Ever." You jumped into his arms and cried into his shoulder as he pulled you into his embrace.

Gray: "Y/N, I'm sorry if I hurt you, but can you understand that I was hurt too?" You nodded and pulled away to look up at him.

Y/N: "Can we just put this in the past and move on..?"

Gray: "Of course babygirl."

~THE NEXT DAY, SUNDAY~

Today was your last day here, and you'd be leaving at 4 pm so that you'd get enough sleep for school on Monday. You clambered out of bed and walked over to your wardrobe to pick out something for the day. You took out a white, long-sleeved, crop top, some black denim shorts and your Adidas Superstars. You made your bed and laid out your outfit, before grabbing a towel and heading over to the bathroom. You had a quick shower, this time washing your hair, before getting out, wrapping the towel around your body, drying your hair and walking back to your room. You slipped on your clothes and threw your hair into a messy side braid with a white scrunchie. Once again, you put on some moisturiser and mascara, just to look more glowy and put together. You made your way down the stairs and saw Grayson making breakfast for everyone. You came up behind him, wrapping your arms around his chest and standing on your tip-toes so that you could see what he was cooking over his shoulder.

Y/N: "Morning Gray."

Gray: "Morning babygirl," he said with a smirk as he turned to face you.

Gray: "What do you want to do today?"

Y/N: "I think I'd rather chill today, considering we go back to school tomorrow."

Gray: "Okay, you go pick a movie and I'll bring you breakfast when it's done."

Y/N: "Awh, thank you," you said before kissing his cheeks and heading over to the living room. You jumped onto the sofa and grabbed the remote; after scrolling through for a bit, you settled with 'A Quiet Place' and got comfy. After about 5 minutes had passed, Grayson walked in, holding two plates and two pairs of knives and forks. He passed you one and sat down next to you, resting his feet on a footrest.

Gray: "Seriously? Horror? It's what, 9 am and you're watching a horror movie?" You turned to him and smiled.

Y/N: "Yup." Gray chuckled at you before turning back to the TV. He managed to make it through that one, but he refused to watch another one like it, so for the next couple hours, you binged watched Sponge Bob.

~4 PM ~

You finished packing up all of your stuff, and you carried your bags downstairs. Everyone was already loading their things into the cars, so you carried them straight outside to the jeep. Grayson was there as well, helping Ethan with his stuff.

Gray: "You got everything Y/N?"

Y/N: "Yeah, pretty sure I do anyway," you said as he took your bags and put them in the boot. Once everyone was ready to leave, you hopped into the passenger seat of Gray's jeep, and Ethan got into the back. Your parents drove out first, and you three followed after them. Once again, for the whole 2 hours, you and the boys messed around, talked about random shit and sang to whatever came onto the radio.

When you arrived back home, Gray pulled up in front of his house and helped you take your bags to yours. Your mum opened the front door and moved out the way so that you and Grayson could take your stuff upstairs. You dumped your bags by your wardrobe and fell back onto your bed.

Y/N: "Ugh, it feels so good to be back home." Gray chuckled and sat down next to you.

Gray: "Hey, what are you doing next Friday? One of my mates from the football team is throwing a party, and I figured you'd enjoy it." You sat up, looked at Grayson and raised an eyebrow.

Y/N: "Me? At a party? Yeah, I don't think so buddy," you said as you rolled your eyes.

Gray: "Oh come on. I know you don't really like... people but-"

Y/N: "Yeah, you got that right."

Gray: "But I think you should try and get out a bit more. I mean come on, it's our last year of high school and you haven't been to a single house party."

Y/N: "You know what, fine. I'll go if it'll make you shut up," you exclaimed with a giggle. He smiled at you before standing up and walking over to your bedroom door. He turned back around to you as he opened it.

Gray: "See you tomorrow at 7:45, yeah?" You nodded, and with that, he left. You heard your front door close as you fell back onto your bed. Last time you'd been to a party was around 4 years ago when you were 13. You'd never been a very social person, so you didn't stay for long, but you decided then and there, parties weren't for you. You were kind of dreading going, but who knows, maybe this night wouldn't be too bad.
