The night sky was clouded by dark clouds blocking the shine of the moon and the stars. The natural sky had been darkened with nothing shining through, maybe it felt the pain she had felt.
White Snow and snow muddied with dirt were littered around everywhere on the ground. Little drops of rain had started to fall onto the ground, bouncing back up a bit from the pressure and started to spread around, nothing was spared.
The sidewalks were empty of people but the roads shined with the headlights of cars, speeding on the road, flying pass by. They emitted rushing noise of their wheels, they wouldn't stop unless they had to or they would be forced to. But that didn't stop people.
She wore a thin hoody over a tank top, a pair of blue jeans, and black sneakers. It wasn't appropriate for the cold weather of the night, especially since winter had not yet passed but during this moment she couldn't care less.
She grabbed the hood of her hoody and draped it over her head. Pulling on the strings of her hoody, she tried to hide her face from the droplets of rain that devoured everything, making everyone and everything that it touched cool to the touch.
She sat on the bench that was near the bank of the river, watching the movement of the water be disturbed by the falling rain, and the only source of illuminating light was of the street lights that were stationed along the sidewalk. Her mind was clouded by disgust and resent towards a certain someone. Her mind couldn't rest easy knowing that this certain someone, so she had decided that she would take a night stroll and try to clear her mind only for the horrid memories to come back to her.
She lifted her knees up to her chest, then wrapping her arms around her knees, and then laying her head onto the top of her knees before letting out a pained cry out. She let out another pained groan leave her lips, holding tears from coming out of her eyes.
She hates how vulnerable she was right now. She hated how she was affected so much by this. She hated it, she hated it, she hated it. She moved on. Why couldn't they? Her father and her little brother held onto the memories of a woman that didn't deserve them. It was stupid and she couldn't help but think that they would be in a much better place if they just let go of the woman.
That woman who had hurt them, the woman who had abandoned them, that woman who had a new family and couldn't care less about them.
Before she even realized it, tears were streaming down her cheeks but it had camouflaged with the rain that had dropped. She was shaking a bit and she didn't know if it was from anger, sadness, bitterness or the cold. Maybe all of the above.
A few minutes had passed since she had been in the rain, and she made no intention to move from her position, ignoring her phone buzzing multiple many times, making her want to throw it into the river.
"Excuse me?" She heard a voice call out. "Are you alright?" The voice sounded a bit distant from where she was. The voice was laced with concern and confusion, she heard the footsteps of the person coming nearer and nearer.
The rain had stopped pouring on her, though the shivering still went on. She lifted her head to see the familiar face of an employee at Grey.
"Eunsoo?"
"It's Elly." She managed out before looking down on her knees again. Elly didn't want to talk.
