How time flies. It's been three months since the incident with Danny.

I got a phone call from Tom saying he's having a party at his. I don't know if I want to go, we're on better terms now but it still might be awkward. If Danny is gonna bring his girlfriend then I'll be in for a whole other level of awkward. I don't even think I could look him in the eye.

I do need to talk to him privately about what happened that night... it was a mistake and we need to forget it ever happened. Although it doesn't feel like a mistake to me... If anything it proves that Danny still has feelings for me even though he has this other woman on his arm now. He technically cheated though, but I hope he doesn't feel guilty about it. I need to wait and see what happens at this party.

I probably won't drink though, I haven't been feeling well. Constant headaches, feeling sick, being a bit more moody than normal. It's probably nothing but I'll be seeing a doctor soon. I'll definitely be avoiding any alcohol, I don't want to be sick.

Tom decided to make the party Star Wars themed last minute which kinda threw me off but I knew I could throw together the perfect costume in no time, I still had it in my wardrobe from a few years ago. No-one will be expecting little shy Gemma to turn up as slave Leia. I think even Tom is going to be shocked. I hope Danny gets an eyeful.

When I got to the party, I had eyes on me immediately. This costume is definitely going to be a hit. Tom saw me from across the room and came over to me, looking annoyed.

"Gem, what the heck? Is that really you? I've never seen my baby sister like this before. It's... weird." He said, looking me up and down with a raised eyebrow.

"Probably because I wanted to make a good impression, Tom. I don't see the problem here." I said as I walked off.

I walked to the kitchen and made myself a drink, just coke. No alcohol like I promised myself. I turned to see Danny coming towards me, but he wasn't alone.

"Hey Gem, this is Vanessa."

Was he seriously introducing her to me? Really? Okay. Act normal.

"Nice to meet you." I said, smiling. Short and sweet. Nice.

Danny couldn't even look me in the eye, and it was reciprocated. I still need to talk to him.

"I'm sorry to tear you away at a party, but could I have a word please, Danny? It's just about tour." I said. I think I got away with that one.

We went out to the garden and sat on the big chair swing. A couple of feet apart but still closer than ever.

"Danny, I think you probably know what I'm gonna bring up." I said weakly.

"Yeah. I know. What about it?" He asked, smiling. Why was he smiling?

"It was a mistake, Danny. A huge mistake. It can't happen again. We have to pretend it never happened." I told him, it broke my heart but I had to get it out.

"Gem... It wasn't a mistake. Not to me." He said, stroking my arm.

I pushed it away.

"How can it not be a mistake, you have a girlfriend who yo just introduced to me?!

"Gemma. I still love you... I can't keep it a secret much longer. It's hurting." He said, his eyes welling up.

"Danny, I'm sorry. I think it's best we do just forget about it and never speak of it again. I'm really sorry."

I walked away from him before he got the chance to answer. I felt more sick now than ever, my nerves are absolutely shot.

I walked home and lay on the couch for a while. I debated what to do about the sicky, nervous feeling. Eventually I called NHS 24 and made an emergency appointment for tomorrow morning.
