Your POV

"Yangmi! What do you mean you screwed up the company?!"

"This contract I signed. There's no way out of it." I said as if I was possessed.

"What do you mean?! Where your lawyers? They can help right?"

"The lawyers I hired were a fraud. They worked for someone else."

"Who?!" He yelled with concerned and anxiousness.

"I don't know yet... their boss is meeting me tomorrow," I mumbled out. Zhengting looked at the contract again and crumpled it up.

"WHO THE HELL TOLD YOU TO SIGN IT?!" He screamed, once again. I didn't react much due to the fact that I was still stunned that I have legitimately destroyed my family and hundreds of employee's livelihoods.

"When I read it... it seemed fine. Until when I signed it, there was something wrong. It's like they gave me a different contract..." I finally broke down in tears. I couldn't handle it anymore. I can't...

I feel so terrible and scared.

Zhengting's eyes softened at me. He wrapped his arms around me and lent me his shoulder. "I'll call my lawyer tomorrow to come. We'll figure something out. I promise."

"W-What i-if we don't?..." I stuttered.

"Shhh... I'll find a way. After all, I'm the youngest and most successful CEO in China." He assures.

The next day, we were all in my conference room. My parents were here as well; along with Zhengting's lawyers and most of mine.

My parents, they were scared and honestly, I'm pretty sure they were about to disown me. And I don't blame them!

"Mr. Chung, Mrs. Chung. The others are here." Our secretary said. Baba motioned her to let them in. She widens the doors and I felt my heart drop. I couldn't breathe.

"Well... finally nice to see you again, my dear Yangmi."

"Jianyu!"

"Hey cousin. Surprise to see you here. What's up?" He says casually, while Zhengting ran over to Jianyu, grabbed him by the collar and pushed him against the wall.

"What the hell are you doing here?!"

"I'm the new CEO of this company."

"Actually, no are you not. The company is still signed under the Chung's." Zhengting says confidently. Which made me remember. Mama and baba... they still technically own the company. Even though they put the company in my name, they still own it. I run it.

"Who?! Yangmi already signed the papers."

"My parents." I cut in.

"Aha... my sweet naivë girlfriend-"

"Not anymore."

"Oh? Did you just break up with me?"

"In fact I did!"

"Chung Yangmi! I told you I wanted to do a background check on him! And you didn't let me!" Mama yelled. I ducked my head down a bit.

"You were right mama..."

"This daughter of mine is going to give me a heart attack..." She cried while baba told her to calm down.

I looked back at Jianyu and gave him a cold smile. "I can't believe you would lie to me... all for what?" Jianyu smirked at me before pointing at Zhengting.

"Him."

Zhengting gripped his collar tighter, but Jianyu's bodyguards pulled Zhengting off of him.

"Agh... loosen up cousin." He groaned, adjusting his tie.

"Well then... we gotta do something about those family ties. Don't we?"

Within a matter of seconds, all of our bodyguards were pushed out, leaving only 4 lawyers in the room, my parents, Zhengting, Jianyu and 2 of his remaining security team and me...

"Sign the papers, handing the company over me," Jianyu demanded.

"Young man, we can work this out. You don't have to do this." Baba tried his best to work things out, but Jianyu didn't want to, all he wanted was the company all to himself.

"Sir. With all due respect. We can do this the easy way or do the hard way. You have 5 seconds." Jianyu warns as he takes a seat in front of us.

I grabbed Zhengting's hand. He squeezed it back a little and whispered, "Don't worry... I'll figure something out."

"Times up." And the moment he said that 2 of Jianyu's people pulled 2 guns out and pointed it at my parents.

"Jianyu! What are you doing?!" I ran over to my parents. Trying to cover them.

"Sign. IT!" He screams, making my parents and I flinch.

"Zhengting..." I stammered. He looked at me with soft eyes. It assured me that he would solve this... he assured me that I would be safe.

"Give us time... please," Zhengting begged. Jianyu thankfully granted it. 

"Fine..."

The moment he agreed, we sat there for almost 4 hours, trying to waste time. You also might be wondering.

Where's the police, can't your security team call anyone?

Yes, they can... but also the couldn't. Jianyu's has other of his team downstairs, even if they do come he can't really be arrested either. Jianyu hasn't done anything to us, he hasn't shot the gun either... so having the cops here are straight up a joke.

"Zhengting..." I whispered softly. "Have you thought of any ideas?..." He shook his head and shut his eyes closed. I don't blame him. Were all so stressed out.

"Agh..." I exhaled sharply. Closing my eyes as well. 

Think Yangmi! Think!! 

Suddenly... it came to me.

"Zhengting... you buy the company." 

His eyes widened the moment those words escaped my mouth. 

"W-What?!" He half whispered. 

"You... the most successful CEO in China, buy my company. Make your company the parent company for Chung Industry!" I explained.

He then sighed. I know I have to convince him somehow! I trust that Zhengting will take care of my this company! 

"Zhengting... this is the only way."

"Even if it is! How are we suppose to get a contract for your parents to sign it over to me?!"

"Not everything needs a perfect contract. Just paper and pen."
