Elsa POV

After breakfast, Anna and I got on the bus and rode to school.

On the bus ride I sat with my headphones in and debated with myself.

Was I being a burden to Jack?

No, he's always happy to help me out.

But what if he doesn't love me anymore?

But he keeps saying that he does.

What if it's a false promise?

I battled like this all the way to school.

I passed a poster in the way into the school that read.

Winter Dance

Food, Dance and music!

Bring a Date!!

Jack probably won't ask me.

He has been acting awfully distant lately....

No, no he won't ask.

Yes.

No.

Yes.

No.

Yes.

No.

I kept doing this through all of my classes, and was still doing it when I went to the cafeteria.

I needed to talk to Jack.

My eyes scanned the room for his white hair.

They landed on him, sitting alone, looking troubled.

I started to walk over to him.

Jack POV

What was wrong with Elsa?

For the past week she has seemed really distant and we haven't talked in forever.

This morning, she walked right past me without even saying hello!

Does she still love me?

She must know that I would do anything for her.

Do I love her still?

Did I ever love her?

I know that I did.

I was actually planning on asking her on a date later if I could.

I scanned the busy lunchroom for her. I saw her walking towards me.

Wait she was walking towards me?

She was looking straight at me with a troubled and curious look on her face.

She looked beautiful.

Wait what?!

That was random.

She was still walking when I saw someone stick their leg out in front of her.

Tiana.

Since she was looking at me, I made a stopping motion. She stopped and looked at me curiously.

Then she looked down.

Her face darkened.

She sent me a look that said "thanks!"

She looked at Tiana who actually looked rather terrified.

The entire cafeteria quieted to stare.

I saw Anna looked at Elsa apprehensively.

Elsa stared at Tiana for what felt like hours with every emotion crossing over her face.

Then she smiled and said

"Fail." And walked calmly over to me.

I smiled broadly.

That's my girl.

The entire cafeteria was silent to see Tiana's reaction.

She looked mad but left the cafeteria.

Everyone immediately resumed their conversation.

She sat next to me and smiled, looking quite pleased with herself.

"I did it didn't I Jack? I stood up to her," she said excitedly.

I nodded.

"But Jack I came to ask you a question. I have been pondering this for a while but," she said trailing off.

"What?" I said growing scared.

She looked straight at me.

"Jack, do you really love me?"

I was quiet.

I did. I did with all my heart. Why did she need affirmation?

"That's what I thought. I'm too much if a burden," she said as she stood up.

She walked away.

And I sat there like and idiot.

I heard her mutter

"Elsa, you are so stupid. Why would you even think that he loved you?"

And it pained me to hear her say that.

But I still sat there like an idiot.

Like a stinking idiot.

Later that day.....

Elsa POV

After school I trudged over to the bus lanes where we boarded the busses.

My head was down and my eyes were red with tears threatening to spill over.

He doesn't love me.

Even though I was quiet about it, there was not a shadow of a doubt that I loved him with all my heart.

And he didn't anymore.

I got on the bus with Anna.

"Els? What's wrong?" She asked.

"Jack... He doesn't like me anymore," I said sadly.

"Why? Who wouldn't love you?" She said incredulously.

"I guess him," I answered with a sad smile.

The ride home was silent.

When I got home I went straight up to my room and sat at my desk.

After a few hours of studying for a history test that I had on Tuesday, I couldn't think anymore.

I flopped on my back on my bed with a frown on my face.

My eyes welled up with tears, thinking about all these awful things that always seem to happen to me. It's so....unfair!

I cried until there were no more tears left and I felt severely dehydrated.

But sometimes all you need is a good cry.
