Me: I-I'm okay...
Hisoka: Should I continue the story?
I nodded weakly against his neck.

I looked down at (Y/N) and continued to scowl. She risked a glance up at me and I scowled more. She whimpered and shuffled away from me slightly. I reflexively reached out and grabbed her arm. She stared up at my face, looking rather confused and hurt. I let her wrist go and she slowly lowered her hand. She slowly lowered her gaze back to the ground. I reached out and ruffled her hair then turned to walk away. She reached out and grabbed my arm, hugging it against her. I turned, scowling. The moment I saw her face though, it was hard to be mad at her. She was crying. I sighed loudly and she tensed, hugging my arm closer to her. I looked down at her and she cringed. I shook my head and started walking. She quickly followed, trying to keep pace with me. I purposely walked faster, but she just stuck to me so I finally just walked outside and sat on the pavement. She scootched closer and closer to me, eventually sitting in my lap. I rested my chin against her head and she wrapped my arms around her. I smiled faintly and her breathing slowed, falling asleep. I kissed the top of her head and carefully unwrapped my arms from around her. I picked her up and carried her back into our HQ. I sat where I normally do and realized her arms were around my neck, her face buried in my chest.

I glanced up at Hisoka and kissed his cheek. He blushed lightly and did a little nose boop. I giggled.
Chrollo: Can I take over the story telling?
I looked over at him then smiled and nodded.

I watched Hisoka slowly fall asleep, the girl in his arms. So he hasn't killed her yet, I thought. He seemed to be set on protecting her. Oh well. Shalnark scowled up at them. If she can stop Hisoka's random bursts... I smiled at the thought. Well. An end to the bloodlust would work too.
//Morning//
The girl woke up before Hisoka, so I watched to see what she would do. She looked up at him and kissed his cheek, snuggling against him and falling asleep again. A few minutes later, Hisoka woke up and seemed to remember about the girl. He gently shook her and she woke up, looking up at him. She laid her head on his shoulder and continued to look up at him. I saw a faint blush cross Hisoka's features and he looked out the window at nothing in particular. I chuckled quietly and glanced at Shalnark. I nodded and he stood up, walking over to Hisoka and (Y/N). He offered her a hand and she glanced up at Hisoka, then back at Shalnark. She carefully reached up and took his hand, allowing him to pull her up.
Shalnark: Let's go get something to eat.
He smiled brightly at her and she stared at him for a moment then nodded, glancing back at Hisoka as Shalnark led her away. Hisoka completely ignored her. I waited until Shalnark and (Y/N) left before calling out to Hisoka.
Me: So which is it, Hisoka?
He looked down at me, mildly surprised.
Hisoka: What do you mean?
Me: Either you care about her ir you don't. Which is it?
Hisoka scowled and looked back out the window, probably watching Shalnark lead (Y/N) to one of the cars to drive her to town. He sighed and looked back down at me.
Hisoka: Honestly, I don't know. She's... Different from other people though.
Me: However so?
Hisoka: I... I don't know. I just... I feel slightly different when she's around. And I can tell that she's afraid of me, yet... She still stays by me.
I nodded and Hisoka looked back out the window.

I smiled up at Hisoka and giggled. He blushed and looked away from me.
Me: That's what happened when I left with Shalnark?
Shalnark was on the ground dying of laughter. Almost literally.
Chrollo: Yes.....
