The sound of my alarm wakes me up to my room still filled with the same old cold darkness
I sit up from the bed and grab my phone and place my AirPods in my ears, going to Spotify i click one of my playlist. Walking over to my window i open the white curtains exposing the dark morning with rain pouring down the sky. I quickly walk over to the bathroom and do my face care. Patting my face dry i walk out the bathroom taking off my PJs. I walk over to my closet and take out my outfit for the day. After changing i put my wavy brown hair down. Walking out my room, gently shutting the door behind me and walk past my brothers door hearings his loud snores. I walk into the kitchen hearing the low hums of my mom as she cooks
"Buenos Dias Ma." I say and kiss her cheek she smiles
"Buenos dias." She says before going back and mixing the rice and beans.
I look down at my phone and see its 6:47 AM.
"Why did you wake up so early? It's Saturday" I hear my mom ask
"Just wanted to help you out." I say and she smiles and nods.
"Go to my car and get me my phone i left it there last night." She says and i nod walking towards the door and going inside the closed garage.
I turn the light on and walk towards my moms car.
I open the door and grab her phone and walk back inside the house.
"Here" i say and hand her the phone
"Thanks Mija. I don't need any help right now."
I nod and look at her mixing the rice and turning off the stove.
I need some spray paint for a project in math. The closest place is Home Depot
"Mom. Can i go to home depot?"I ask and she nods
"Do you need anything?" I ask she shakes her head
"No. Bye be careful."She calls out as i walk out the door holding my keys and purse. I take out my AirPods and put them in their case and place them in my purse. I take my phone and get inside my car. I turn it on and put on some music.
I press the button next to my steering wheel. The garage door opens and i drive out clicking the button again making the garage door go back down. I drive away from the house.
While driving I get a text from my best friend, Kaliyah.
Kaliyah: Hey, there is a party tonight at kyle horsemen. Oh it starts at 6pm
Looking up i see Home Depot on my right so i turn and get in and find my spot and sit in my car responding
