As Issy walked into the house she could hear her parents scheduling open houses and meetings with the president. Normal parents stuff, right? Her dad was cleaning up his newest piece of his defeated villains trophy collection, the eye from the giant robot they had defeated that morning.
Hearing the door close they both looked towards it wanting to know everything about our first day. "Hey! There they are, kids of the hour." From dad. "How'd it go?" Asked mom. Seemed like she had finally calmed down after her talk with dad about letting go a bit. "Well, it was no worse than I thought." Answered Issy. Mom frowned, "Not good?" "Well, it was alright. I made hero." She said looking at her dad. He puffed up his chest. "Well of course you did you're a Stronghold." Issy had to wince a bit at that, knowing it would make this even worse on her brother.
"I did have a minor flair up, but Nurse Spex was next to me and we had it fixed in no time." Mom looked relieved to know it wasn't too bad and a Nurse was with me when it happened. "Well, dinners almost ready if you wanna rest until then, honey. I believe your dad and Will have something to do." She nodded understanding her dad was finally going to show Will the sanctum. Mom had showed it to her over the summer since they pretty much knew her placement. They had chatted and added new firewalls to moms command center computers, and played some pinball, good times.
"Dad we need to talk." She could hear Will trying to explain. "You mean a little hero to hero talk? I think I know just the place." There dad really didn't listen when he didn't want to. Issy imagines that Will wouldn't be able to tell dad about his being a sidekick after he heard the speech about, The Stronghold Four. Their dads dream since he found out it was twins.
When the guys came up laughing together when mom called dinner she knew she was right. She understood Wills fear but knew the longer he waited the more upset an hurt their parents would be. She saw a tree grew outside her window later that night and realized Will must be on the roof again and Layla was visiting. She just hoped Layla could make him see how in the grand scheme of things powers were not that important. Their parents would still love them if they were ordinary. I guess that didn't mean a lot coming from people that had two very strong powers to Will however.

Only the second day of school and she was already tired of waking up so early. Deciding to play up to her powers a bit she went with a blue theme for her make up today. Deciding to keep her clothes as simple as possible she chose another jean and shirt combo, though the shirt was a bit more dressy. The fact that Warren would be in some of her classes had nothing to do with it, right?Since she had an attack yesterday she knew she should be good for a day or two. So, just using drop foot braces made this day better already. The attacks were awful, but the next day she felt almost free. Deciding not to push her luck though, she took her chair to the main floor.
Sitting down to breakfast it was just her and her mom downstairs already. She took this rare moment to ask her mom what had been on her mind since meeting Warren. "Hey mom?" She asked quietly. Her mom looked up from pouring herself coffee. "Ya, Honey?" Looking down a bit embarrassed she asked, "Can I ask you a question?" Her mom looked thrilled, she had waited for this day a long time.
