Issy stood to the side with Warren watching as the depacified came out in blankets, grabbed their clothes then helped carry the next group. Her stress had lifted and her legs while shaky were letting her stand. Warren had his arm around her waist in case they changed their mind. She had no doubt he would catch her if she fell.

Her parents had been returned to normal. They were brushing off their costumes and mom was shining dads logo. "Mom, Dad, I just want to say sorry cause this whole thing was my fault." Issy was shocked. Her brother was taking responsibility for his actions?

"Oh Honey you cant blame yourself." Her mom soothed. Issy's head fell back against Warren. How did they not realize there was only one was Gwen got the Pacifier?! Only 4 people were able to get into the sanctum. Her brother had let his hormones do the thinking for him.

"Of course not. You couldn't have known your girlfriend was a complete psychopath." Dad scoffed. Why not? She had. "No that's not it. Umm..." she closed her eyes. Come on Will, for once tell the truth.

"You gave me one rule, and I broke it." She felt Warren squeeze her hand. He knew what Will confessing meant to her. Maybe he was going to come down to Earth and be tolerable. Her parent gave each other a look of confusion. "I took Gwen into the Sanctum. That's how she got the Pacifier." Now her parents looked up to speed.

"The party was a trap." He look relieved to be telling the truth. "And so was the dance. We all fell into Royal Pains trap. But you defeated her, you saved Sky High." She turned into Warren chest not wanting anyone to see her tears. Her parents had always been this way, she guessed there was nothing she could do about it now.

"I didn't do it by myself." Will defended. Warren whispered in her ear. "Tell them. You'll regret it if you don't at least try." She looked up at him. He was right, maybe her parents really didn't realize what they did. Warren waved his heated hand in front of her face drying the tears.

She took slow steps away from Warren. He kept his hands out in case she fell. "Mom? Dad?" They turned to her, her mom saw the dried tears on her face. "Honey?! What's wrong are you hurt?" She shook her head "No, not like you mean." She looked back at Warren for the strength she needed. "You don't treat Will and I the same." Her dad tried to interrupt her "Dad, please just let me say this I might never get the courage again."

Her mom laid her hand on his shoulder telling him silently to just listen. "I know I must be a disappointment to you. You didn't sign up for a daughter that can't walk some days. And Will I don't know why you don't like me anymore. We haven't said more than two words in months. I miss you, but I also can't make you the center of the world like mom and dad do."

She could tell her mom badly wanted to hug her but she let her finish. "You never asked me about homecoming. You didn't notice I wasn't there when you left. You don't invite Warren to dinner like you did Gwen, who I always made a point of never being around." She took a deep breath as she wound down.

Her shoulder slumped defeated. "I probably won't be a superhero. I won't be a part of your plan for the Stronghold Four, not that you asked. I just want to finish high school and maybe go to college. I think deep down you knew that and that's why you got Will an Xbox for his powers but never even told me you were proud of me. Warren has made me see that I'm worth loving. He thinks of me first, he's always there, he works really hard for his money but still manages to surprise me with books and treats. I guess what it boils down to is do you want to get to know us?"

Her mom had tears running down her face. Her dads eyes glistened though she knew he would deny it. Warren came up behind her and wrapped his arms back around her waist. "Good job, baby." He whispered. Her parents seemed to get over their shock.

They run up to her and Warren grabbing them both into a hug. Warren taking the brunt of her dads so she didn't get squished. "Honey, we cant apologize enough! There's no excuse for letting you feel that way. We should have known just because you don't complain doesn't mean we can be idle. You are our daughter, superhero or not, and we are proud of you beyond measure. I hope that you can forgive us and give us another chance."

Issy had started crying around the time her mom had told her they were proud of her. "I would like nothing more." Her mom pulled back a bit and looked at Warren. "And you Warren. I can't thank you enough for being there for our little girl when we haven't been. I expect you to be a regular around our home from now on." Warren smiled "Yes, Ma'am."

When they broke the hug Will walked up to her. "Issy I'm so sorry for being such a jerk. You didn't do anything wrong, this is all me. I've been stupid and selfish and I want my sister back too." Issy almost felt light headed in happiness at that moment. Her parents and Will wanted to spend more time with her. Mom had asked Warren to be around more.
