Warren was exhausted from a long but great day at their publishing business. After 5 years Peace Publishing was really gaining speed and becoming a household name. They produced everything from children's books to biographies. Neither of them had decided to follow the superhero route.

The choice was made clear just after their senior year. But even before that his beautiful wife had been applying to colleges. They both now held business degrees with minors in publishing. He pulled into the garage. Remembering how excited they had been when they had written the check for this car with their first big hit.

He walked in the house, a wedding gift from Issy's parents. It was completely fireproof. Something that came in very handy nowadays.

It was on her parents street. It had made them all feel better to have parents so close when they moved out at such young ages.

He put his briefcase down and none too soon. A naked toddler with brown hair and ice blue eyes came tearing into the kitchen to meet him. "We've got a runner!" He heard his wife yell. Seconds later his oldest son came skidding into the kitchen. Helping corral his brother no doubt.

When Issy had found out she was pregnant when she was 17 they knew immediately what was right for them. She had already graduated early, his girl never even flinched. She powered through and did exactly as she told her parents she would. He hoped his boys had the strength of their mother.

At 7 Kai was looking more like him everyday, even though he had his moms eyes. A fact that sometimes amused his wife and sometimes recently made her cry.

Like all his lineage before he inherited powers over fire as the first born male

Like all his lineage before he inherited powers over fire as the first born male. It was a wonder they had kept that apartment from burning down when Kai was young. One of the reasons for their current completely fireproof house.

The squirming boy in his arms brought his attention to his younger son, Haydn. Another child in his image with his mother's eyes. His wife often joked that at least they had gotten something besides life from her.

Haydn had started his first fire last week

Haydn had started his first fire last week. He probably shouldn't have laughed but his wife's look of horror was too much. Speaking of his beautiful wife.

"It's ok mom, dad grabbed him!" Kai yelled. "Don't yell I'm right here. Thanks for being my legs, Kai." His wife said waddling into the kitchen. She walked up going on her tip toes and giving him a kiss. Ticking Hayden's stomach and giving him a smacking kiss as well.

"Well, it seems this one is making the most of me not being able to pick him up." She said raising an eyebrow at her current youngest. "Is that right?" He asked holding his son to eye level. His son gave him a big grin, he was just like his mother. "We talked about this Haydn. We don't make mommy run when she a baby in her tummy."

He got a sad look and looked at his mom. "Swrry mama." She laughed "You are more like your daddy every day, baby boy." She sighed "I need to sit. Warren could you get that wild child in his pajamas please? His bath wiped me out." "You got it mama." He said taking the boy to his room to dress him.

Issy look at her oldest. "Let's watch some cartoons before bed, K." "Yes!" He fist pumped and ran into the living room. She laughed and followed the miniature Warren to the couch. The boy loved the show Teen Titans. He even had his grandfather watch it with him last time they had babysat. Her dad spent most of the time critiquing the powers.

He fell asleep not 10 minutes into the show. She ran her fingers through his hair. She adored being a mother. She heard Warren coming down the hall. "He fell asleep while I was changing him." He laughed. "Ya, big man is asleep too." She said quietly.

He walked over and smiled seeing his oldest slumped against his wife. He sat on the coffee table and pulled her feet into his lap, massaging her feet. Warming up his hands to help loosen the muscles. She sighed sinking deeper into the couch.

"Babe, I think this is gonna have to be the last baby Peace. We've run out of rooms and the boys are such a handful." He smiled "What ever you say, Princess." She cut her eyes at him. "Watch yourself, Peace. That's how we got this one." She laid her head back against the couch. "You better hope you threw an X gene with this one. I saw my niece today and I want one."

Warren groaned. He wasn't ready for a little girl. He would have to murder any boys that came near her. "Few more weeks and they'll be here." He put her feet down and stood up. "Come on mama. Let's get you and baby to bed." He grabbed her hands and slowly pulled her to her feet. They had discovered she couldn't get up on her own a few weeks ago.

That had been a memorable call. He had been scared to death when his very pregnant wife called him crying. He had to hide a laugh when he realized why she was calling. She had sat on the couch to fold laundry and couldn't get back up. He had walked in to see his sleeping wife with their youngest sleeping on her chest a towel covering them. Kai was sitting next to her watching his show.

He had asked his son what had happened. He told him how he had ran and gotten the ice cream when he heard his mama crying and after eating some she and Haydn had fallen asleep. So he covered them. This kid had his moms smarts. Warren had let them sleep and worked from home the rest of the day.

Warren picked up Kai and took him to his room. Checking on Haydn one more time before heading to bed. When he walked in he expected to find his wife asleep. To his surprise she was sitting on the edge of the bed wide awake.

"Warren." She said ruefully. "What is it, babe?" He asked worried. "Call my parents. This kid is coming."
