"Hello,Valued joja customer! How many I assist you today?" I said sounding almost robotic.
"MY COMPUTER IS TALKING TO ME" A customer screamed into the  phone. I put myself on mute for a second to let out an audible groan.

"Oh my sir, that sounds quite serious! Please let me take your name so I can refer you to our joja computer help representatives!" I said even though I was one, I was just gonna give him the number to report nutrition issues on joja cola, he'd be on hold with them for a pretty long time.

"MY NAME IS STEVE JOHNSON, WILL THAT DO?" He said, still screaming.
"Yes sir, that does fine" I grabbed a piece of paper out of the drawer attached to my desk where I usually wrote down the most angry customers I received, but beneath I discovered an envelope, with the same purple stamp my grandfather always used. I put myself on mute and set my phone down. I slowly picked up the letter and opened it up carefully as not to damage the wax seal. Inside the Manila envelope was a deed to his farm, and a key to said farm. There was a note to and I started crying right there in my cubicle I looked up at the two lights at the front of my office that say 'work' and 'rest' it was on work so when I wasn't typing I heard my employee number over the loud speaker
"EMPLOYEE NUMBER #687901 GET BACK TO WORK OR YOU WILL BE TERMINATED." That's the last time I'm wanna hear that voice, I picked my phone up and told the guy the joja cola number hung up and stood up, indicating me not working
"EMPLOYEE #687901 HAS BEEN TERMINATED, COLLECT YOUR BELONGINGS AND EXIT IMMEADITLY" the robotic p.a yelled at me. I picked my stuff up and left, my co-workers looking at me longingly as if they wanted to be in my position. I smiled as
I walked out and saw the sunlight. I breathed in the fresh air and walked to my car. This was the first time I left joja before 10:00 and it felt great. This dead-end job was no longer for the money and I was finally free.
I started to drive to my house. When I got home I only grabbed a few things to take with me all fitting within my empty purse, I brought a brush, toothbrush, some makeup but not much*concealer mascara, and lip gloss*,my sketchbook and some clothes.
I walked to the bus station  for exercise and  considering I'm moving to a farm I dont think I'll need a car, I gave it to my dad to use at his job because he worked as a construction worker.
"All aboard, next stop stardew valley!" I walked onto the bus and sat down I fell asleep to the tune of a bird's song, which was surprisingly relaxing and quite refreshing from the usual elevator esque music joja played in loop 24 hours all week except Sunday where they played no music at all. I woke up to the bus suddenly stopping and I had finally reached my destination, my new home.
My feet landed on the dirt path and I felt peaceful, no evil joja corporation in sight, thank Yoba! I thought to myself as I saw the face of Redhead and she introduced herself as Robin  She has such a pretty name! I thought as she led me to my farm
"Oh, and Mayor Lewis is right inside setting everything up! We've been expecting you for a while now, we knew you'd come around!" Robin said to me and smiled. The door creaked open and an old gentleman walked out.
"Ah, you must be Tailyn!, I'm Lewis the town mayor, do you remember me from when you were younger?" The last time I visited this farm was the night my grandfather died, 15 years ago. I was only about 7 when it happened so I dont remember much  but I remembered a few people, such as the mayor, Granny Evelyn (what a sweetheart she was) and one of the other kids , I think his name started with an S? I'm not sure but we were friends back then though he was about 4 years older than me. He too was a visitor and he was staying with... what's her name... Marnie! She lived south of the farm and she was so incredibly kind, I hope she still is!
"Of course I Remember you Mayor Lewis! Jeez I can't believe it's been 15 years since I've been to this old farm, I like the rustic feel though!" I smiled as I talked to the mayor.
"Rustic? More like crusty. "Robin said and laughed.
"Dont listen to her, shes just trying to get you to buy one of those darned house upgrades she sells!" Mayor Lewis said with a tinge of anger in his voice but it was barely noticable.
"Oh so your the town carpenter, cool!" I said and smiled at Robin.
"Yup, I really enjoy woodworking and I haven't done a big project like a house upgrade in a long, long time. Tell ya what, Swing by my shop with 10,000 gold and 450 pieces of wood and I'll upgrade your house and add a kitchen!" Robin said with a bunch of enthusiasm.
"Cool, I'll make sure to stop by then." I said and smiled.
"Alrighty then, we best be going now, get some rest Tailyn and I suggest you go out tommorow and meet the townsfolk, your arrival has been long awaited!" I waved bye at the two and they left and I walked inside my brand new house, there was a orange gift box set on the  floor and a purple ribbon wrapped around it. Inside was a packet of 15 parsnip seed and a note attached
"Some things to help you get started- Lewis" It was about 5:00 so I decided to go out and plant them, aswell as clear up some clutter, around 8:00 o'clock I was completely exhausted, and I barley managed to make it back to my little cabin like house. My ZuZu city apartment was the same size maybe even smaller, but this place, this farm was so much more peaceful and Serene it made me not care about that old ugly apartment. My thoughts drifted back to 'S' I guess we could call him, he was so nice to me even though I was a bratty little 7 year old, I think I even had a puppy love crush on him back then. Looking back at those  days, I remember being friends with him because we only visited and we never felt close with any of the other kids around. His green eyes are what I remember the most, Oh and his odd love for chickens. I dont think I ever said bye to him, I wonder if he ever thinks about me anymore.
After that, I drifted into a deep sleep and it felt as if a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders and I slept peacefully for the first time in years.

A/N Hi! Thank you so much for reading the first chapter! I'll try to update often. Maybe even again today? Or tommorow I'm not sure. But please comment, if you see any errors in my writing but keep in mind this doesn't completely follow the stardew valley storyline
                Thanks!
