Y/n's POV

It's been about a week and a half that Gerard and I have been together. We've gone on a couple more dates since then. Whenever I'm not working, Gerard is either at my place, or I'm at his. A few days ago I had work and he snuck into my apartment and left a coffee and muffin on my counter for me. I questioned him on how he got in. Gerard told me that my neighbor Kristen let him in.

Since then there have been two more robbings by the Jack of Clubs guy. I'm still in a rut. He does such a good job at hiding his identity from the cameras and witnesses. But luckily Gee has been doing a good job at keeping me from stressing too hard.

Currently, Brendon and I are sitting in Jeffrey's office, updating him on our non-existent progress.

"Nothing? Still?" Jeffrey asked after we got finished our report.

"Chief you have no clue how frustrating this is. This guy has left no prints behind, no one has ever seen his face or has any clue who he is. But I think I might be on to something." Brendon said. I looked up at him, interested in what he's got. He hasn't told me any ideas yet, so this could be good.

"What do ya got Urie?"

"I need the surveillance tapes from of outside of the locations hes robbed. Maybe we can try to get a tag on his car or see if he reveals his face." Brendon suggested.

"How have I not thought of that!? Brendon you genius!" I told him with pure excitement. I guess you could say my eyes were the size of the moon.

"You got it Urie. I'll have Ross put them at your desk. I want you two to work on this after your shift. For now, get back on the streets." Chief told us, writing something down on his notepad. Brendon and I nodded before walking out of his office. Once the door was shut I turned to look at him.

"Why didn't you tell me this before dude!" I playfully hit his shoulder. Brendon rolled his eyes.

"Because I literally thought of it the moment I said it." He chuckled.

"This is why you're my favorite person in the whole wide world." I told him as we walked outside to our cars.

"What about Gerard?" Brendon wriggled his eyebrows. I felt blood rush to my cheeks. I tried covering it by turning away but he followed me. "Oooo girl you're blushing!"

"Shut the fuck up Bren." I couldn't stop the smiling from intruding my face.

"Update me. How's it going between you two?" Brendon leaned against his squad car, looking eager for details.

"Well you already know that he's my boyfriend." I started, "We've gone on a few more dates over the past week, but he's been seeming kinda...off. It's weird."

"What do you mean by that?"

"He's been a bit more on edge. Like hes been very jumpy and paranoid. Maybe somethings going on at work that's got him stressed. I'll talk to him about it later." I said, opening my car door.

"Huh." Brendon said, doing the same.

"It's probably nothing. I'll talk to you after shift. Meet at mine?"

"Sounds good. See you then Officer l/n." Brendon saluted.

"See you then Officer Urie." I got into my car and shut the door. Almost as if it was on cue, a text from Gerard popped up on my phone.

Gee Gee: Good morning beautiful. Any plans after work?

Y/n: Unfortunately, yes :( Brendon and I might have a lead on figuring out who A.W. is.
