An Archangel's Daughter

Chapter 3

Sorry, slight self harm stuff ahead, if you've seen season 13 then you kinda know what's going on.

Aurora's POV

"I...I'm fine." I put my hand where the blade used to be. My shirt was bloody but there was no wound. I don't understand...I've seen Castiel kill angels with his blade. And I'm part angel...so why am I not dead?

I look up to Dean who looks at me with suspicion. He thinks I'm a monster now...I'm sure of it. I look to Sam who seems concerned.

"Are you okay?" He asks me. "You seemed like you were in pain, even before you got stabbed."

"The voices...they were so...loud. So angry." It hurt...it hurt to hear the voices...Dean's eyebrows raise.

"You can hear angel radio?" He asks me.

I tuck my legs crossed under me again. "I don't know what that is." I tell him. And it's the truth. Castiel has never told me about this 'angel radio' Dean is talking about.

Sam tries to explain it to me. "The angels have a kind of communication system, where they can talk to each other wherever they are. Often angels listen in onto other angels conversations."

I nod a little letting him know I understand. Angel radio is to the angels what phones are like to humans...I think.

Dean pipes up. "You also slammed one of the angels into the wall without even touching her. Can you maybe explain how you can do that?"

I look at the two. I don't want to scare them. I already scare myself. "When I get scared...things happen." I tell them in a quiet voice. I can feel their eyes on me, trying to figure me out. "I can't stop it." A tear slips from my eyes. "It just happens." I look up to Sam, I know he will be understanding. "Please, I know that I am dangerous. But I don't want to hurt anyone. Castiel took me here because he told me I would be safe with you."

Dean looks at Sam with a strange look on his face. I don't understand it. "Excuse us, Sammy and I need a family meeting." He tells me before going around the corner of the room with Sam. While I wait for them I pick up one of the angel blades, sliding it across my skin. I watch the wounds heal as soon as I make them.

Winchester POV

"I...I'm fine." The brothers look in shock at the girl, who is holding the angel blade in her hand, and seems uninjured.

Dean immediately feels suspicious. If an angel blade can't kill her, what the hell can? He sees Aurora look to Sammy who looks concerned.

"Are you okay?" Sam asks her. "You seemed like you were in pain, even before you got stabbed." I wonder if someone is hurting her in some way, now that she is away from Castiel. He wonders.

"The voices...they were so...loud. So angry." She says, Dean's eyebrows raise. Crazy girl is hearing voices? No...wait...if she's part angel, maybe Aurora can hear the angel radio. But the human part of her still feels pain from hearing the angel's true voices.
 
"You can hear angel radio?" He asks her, waiting for a response. Dean can see that she is confused by the idea. She tucks her legs under her as she sits.

"What is angel radio?" Aurora asks instead. You gotta be kidding me. She's been with Castiel as long as she's been alive and he never told her about the angel radio? Dean feels already so done with her ignorance, it reminds him so much of Cas when they first met him.

Sam tries to explain it to her. "The angels have a kind of communication system, where they can talk to each other wherever they are. Often angels listen in onto other angels conversations." Aurora nods a little to let him know she understands.

Dean pipes up. "You also slammed one of the angels into the wall without even touching her. Can you maybe explain how you can do that?" I can't believe that she doesn't know anything about what she can do. We don't know how dangerous this kid is. I know that Cas wants us to protect her but what if I have to put a bullet in her?

Aurora looks at the two of them. The brothers can almost see the cogs in her thoughts turning, trying to find a way to explain something that she doesn't understand herself. "When I get scared...things happen." She says in a quiet voice. Things like what? Has Cas even tried helping her control this?
Sam thinks to himself.

"I can't stop it." A tear slips from her eyes. "It just happens." Aurora looks up to Sam. "Please, I know that I am dangerous. But I don't want to hurt anyone. Castiel took me here because he told me I would be safe with you."

Dean looks at Sam with a look that means, 'We gotta talk'. "Excuse us, Sammy and I need a family meeting." He tells Aurora before getting up and going around the corner of the room with Sam.
