Aurora's POV
Dean looks at me. "Well then, you know what part of that protection is Sammy." Sam looks down at me and I look up at him. Sam will keep me safe. "What is Dean talking about?" I ask him. "A tattoo." He answers, pulling down the shoulder of his shirt showing a symbol on his skin. "It keeps demons from being able to jump your bones." Dean adds, showing that he has the same symbol as well. What's a tattoo?
"What's a tattoo?" I ask aloud. Sam tries to explain, "It's when a picture or words are put on your skin using ink." Do I have to? What a stupid thought, of course I do. Dean says it is part of the protection. "Okay." I tell them. "I'll get the tattoo." Dean flips out his phone. "I'll just stay here." Donatello says. No one objects.
Sam goes to get something, a pair of rugged boots. Are those for me? "I figured Dean is closer to your shoe size than me. You can't go running around with just socks." He says with a smile and helps me tie them on, they engulf my feet. "Don't worry, we'll get you your own soon." Now my feet are completely invisible! I smile and Sam smiles too.
Dean finds the location nearby of something called a tattoo parlor. He says, "Let's roll." and fiddles with something jingling in his hand. The brothers and I leave the room and go outside of whatever building we were in. I think Castiel called them motels. Dean gets into a black car parked outside and Sam opens one of the side doors. I wearily wait outside of the vehicle. I have never been inside one of these before. Castiel always flew us to where we needed to go.
"It's okay, she won't bite." Sam reassures me. I get in the backseat and Dean says, "I'm not gonna move til you put on that seatbelt." After a couple of tries it clicks into place. The brothers already have on their seatbelts. I suppose the seatbelt is a safety mechanism. Dean does something and the vehicle rumbles to life.
Soon we arrive at the tattoo parlor. Dean talks to someone at a desk and gets a clipboard of paper to fill out. There are chairs that they sit in as they wait. When Dean is finished he gives the clipboard back. Soon a man appears around the corner and calls out "Aurora?"
Dean and Sam get up and I follow behind them. The man leads us to a station with tools and a chair. "Hop on up." The man says to me so I comply. Sam fishes a piece of paper out of his jacket pocket that has a sketch of the protective symbol on it. "All right, so, uh...I'm thinking something like this, right about here." He puts the paper by my collarbone and pats it. "Uh, you know what? Exactly like that." I look at Sam in concern. I don't know how I feel about this. The man helping us has pictures all over his arms.
"And you're cool with this?" The man asks me and I nod my head. "Y-yeah." I try to sound confident. Dean says seriously with his arms crossed, "Turn the damn thing on and start buzzin'." The man looks hesitant so Sam reassures him. "We're siblings. It's like a family crest." He shows the man his tattoo and pats him on the back with a tight smile. The man picks up the sketch and looks at it again before getting a wipe and slipping my shirt off the shoulder so my collarbone is exposed. He wipes the area and I shiver, it feels cold. The man throws away the wipe and picks up something I've never seen before.
I hear Sam and Dean whispering behind me. Sam says, "You heard Donatello. No evil vibes from Aurora." "Proves nothing, except you're way too attached to this kid." Dean responds. "What do you need? A sign?" Sam sighs, "Dean, whatever her powers are or will be..." the strange machine starts buzzing and I start to get nervous, I grip the arms of the chair tightly. "...if we train her properly, they could be used for good."
The needle touches my skin and I wince in pain. Ouch! That hurt! I can feel energy leave me and the box of the machine sparks white. The man yells and I hear a thump against the wall. "Well there's your sign." I hear Dean say angrily. He comes up behind me. "Did you do that?" He asks me. I look up at him confused. "I-Im not sure." He's mad. Why is he mad at me now? Sam goes to the man on the ground. "Hey, you alright?" He asks him.
