I jumped up off the couch with a smile on my face, and ran to the counter swiping the dagger off of it. I ran to the door and when I was about to open it I stopped realizing there wasn't going to be any killing today.

There wouldn't be any for a while not until the queen said I could at least kill good angels. Though I don't even know why she would even have to think about it, after all it lets out my pent up aggression and no one stays dead since they are already dead so what would be the harm? Right there would be no harm. Well I guess they would still feel the pain, but eh that's nobody's problem but theirs.

I put my dagger in a kitchen drawer and sat on the couch with my knees pulled up to my chest arms wrapped around them and my head resting on my knees. "What am I going to do with myself?" I muttered.

"Well you can get off the couch and stop moping for starters." My head snapped up at the sound of Jordan's voice.

How did I not even notice he was here? "Well what's the other thing I should do?" His eyebrows pulled together in confusion as if he didn't know what I meant. "You said for starters so I'm assuming you have a plan."

He smiled showing a set of picture perfect set of white teeth that any dentist would brag to the other dentists about. "Well why don't you try making friends with some of the people I have met that's dead like us?"

I frown, thinking but not too sure if I want to. "If I must."

He smiled. "Don't be so negative lighten up," Without another word he yanked me up by my arm and ushered me out the door. He was surprisingly excited for me to meet the people he has met in his deadly time.

"I'm not negative," I pressed the button in the elevator that had L for lobby imprinted into it's white circle.

He shook his head. "You are very negative,"

I growled without responding further.

When we got to the lobby he sat down on a leather bench right by the elevator doors. After patting the spot beside him signaling for me to sit down he pulled out a plain black flip phone and started dialing a number.

I didn't bother sitting down as I took in the lobby scene. The doorman was sitting on a chair snoring with a magazine on his stomach and his hat almost covering his entire face. The lobby manager sat behind the desk with his hands folded in front of him like a student in school. He had a forced smile on his face making his eyes little slits.

"Okay come on we are headed to meet my friends at CityZen." Jordan says to me making my head turn so I can look at him.

"Where? Is that like a place outside of this town?" I asked. He stood up and started walking to the door. "Hey I asked you a question!"

He stopped in the doorway of the exit and stared at me. "It's only the best diner in this town no big deal." He responded flatly.

I crossed my arms. "Well excuse me for not feeling like dining out where it costs more than some bread and peanut butter!" I rebutted offended by his remark no matter the fact he was just teasing me.

He walked back over to me and put his hand on the back of my shoulder and edged me towards the door. "Come on let's go."

"Fine." I uncrossed my arms and practically marched right out the open double doors.

We walk into the diner and immediately Jordan's walking to a booth that I had yet to even glance at. I follow slowly behind him glancing at the room. It was your typical diner. Booths lining the left and right walls, a counter on the far side with swivel chairs without backs. The table we were headed to was occupied by two people presumably his friends.
