Jesse paced across the hard wood floor of his apartment as he thought about the information I had just given him.

"Do you perhaps have the weapon used? If you do we can find fingerprints easy." Jesse answered.

I shook my head. "No that stayed with them." He ran his hands through his green hair frustrated. Then I got an idea. I didn't think he'd go of it, but I said it anyway. "What if we found it's location and stole it for a little. More like borrowing actually."

He looked up at me shocked. "Are you really that stupid? We would be killed before we even have a chance to get in the vicinity of the dagger."

I groaned. "What are we going to do then?"

"Did they say where it happened?" He asked me.

"Yeah I asked them while we were having lunch and now we're the best of friends and I got the guy to spill the details of it." I shook my head.

He shook his head and started pacing back and forth his hand pinching the bridge of his nose. I watched wordlessly not knowing what I should be thinking. I was never good at coming up with good plans that was his job.

After a while I finally spoke, as an idea was forming in my brain. "Do you think they would keep records of such things on a computer or database?"

He barely paid me mind as he nodded saying probably and then proceeded to ignore me. I walked over to the desktop computer that sat on the smooth black desk in the corner of the living room. I sat down on the metal foldable chair that he had placed at it. It was a little too low and cold, but I didn't complain as I began booting up his computer.

I was surprised he didn't say anything towards my actions. When the computer finally loaded up it went straight to the desktop background of blackness with no password needed. That could be a problem for him in later years.

I clicked on the Google Chrome button and waited for it to load. I turned away from the desk to look at a concentrating Jesse. He was mumbling to himself going over possibilities.

"What do you think this said database would be called?"

He finally paid me mind which means he'll probably stop me from hacking into it at any moment. "You're not seriously thinking about hacking into the database."

It wasn't a question it was a statement. I stayed silent.

He walked over and shut the computer off. "No, that might just be even more stupid than your first idea."

"Well do you have any better ideas?"

He start to say no but then he shook his head, realizing something. "Actually I do."

I looked up at him expectantly. It seemed to take him a moment to realize I wasn't going to give him a sarcastic comment.

"Did anyone catch you murdering someone?"

I blinked confused why he asked. Instead of questioning him though I thought about. Did anyone? There were those three boys. . . They wouldn't frame me though. They were mere mortals, so even if they were stupidly brave enough to ignore my threat and frame me they would have gotten caught stealing my knife.

"I see that look of thought on your face. You've been caught. Who?"

I shook my head. "Just two mortals," I waved my hand in dismissal. I guess technically it was three but I sliced the one's throat so I just left them out of the picture.

He slap at my hand. "Are you sure they were mortals?"

"Well I didn't exactly interrogate them, police were coming. I could have gotten sentence to jail easily!"

He sighed irritated with my response. "Did you let yourself visible before they said anything?"

"No. I didn't let myself visible to them at all, come to think of it."

His thinking face came back again and he pulled me off the chair so he could sit at the desk. "I'll call you when I get more information I suggest you look for Jordan to see if he knows anything."

I gave him a questioning look, though he didn't see it as his back was turned. "I thought you didn't trust him."

"I don't. Now go."

He offered no more information so I did has he told me to.

When I walked outside it was slightly windy and night had taken over the sky. I stood there a moment wonder where I should check first. I guess my apartment would be as good as any place.

-

I walked into my apartment and found it empty. I thought back to all the times he's come here and usually it was a bit after nightfall.

So I decided to sit on my the couch and wait for a little bit. I kept checking my phone every few minutes to see the time, but when it was finally thirty minutes later I was getting fed up with waiting.

I looked around the apartment using only my eyes to make sure I hadn't zoned out. To my dismay I saw nobody and everything seemed normal. Sighing I got up and off my couch heading for the door to go look around town.

As I was about to opened the door it suddenly swung open causing me to gasp and jump back. The door just barely hit me. I focused on the person who opened the door who turned out to be Jordon. He looked frantic and panicky.

"What's wrong with you?" Way to go Annabelle your so sensitive to people's emotions. I thought sarcastically to myself.

He started speaking in a rush not even taking time to step inside the apartment. "It's Matt and Airy. They got in a fight with some good Angels and now they are severely wounded."

I went to speak but he suddenly grabbed my arm and started pulling me down the hallway. I yanked my arm out of his grasp and stopped walking.

"We can't do anything without first aid. That's the first thing second thing I'm not coming with you those are your friends not mine. If they die then I will feel no remorse."

He tilted his head. "I thought you were friends with Claire."

Now I was the one confused. "Who said anything about Claire?"

"I did."

"No you didn't," I shook my head slowly.

He shook his head. "Whatever she's there, not as badly wounded, but definitely pretty bad."

"Where are they?"

"Do you know the run down area of town?" I nodded in response. "There."

Feeling like I was about to walk into a trap I walked back into the apartment to grab first aid. After I grabbed it I went to leave when I saw my phone on the counter. Quickly I sent out a text to Jesse.

Had to go to run down area with Jordan. His friends Matt and Airy are severely hurt and Claire is in pretty bad shape too. I'll tell you if I get back to the apartment if I don't and you find the information come down to the run down area of town.

I hit send and left the apartment with the first aid kit in hand.
