Waking up to the sun shining in your face wasn't very pleasant. All it made me want to do was curl up in a ball and let darkness consume me once again; but my thoughts wandered, making me remember everything that happened in the past twenty-four hours.

I'm still not safe.

I have to get out of here. I flew out of the bed and went to the dresser that was to the left of the bed.

Thinking about what I had to do this morning made me throw on my clothes and messily pull my hair in a low braid.

I had a lot of things to do and not a lot of time to do it in.

I quickly brushed my teeth, rinsed the brush off and immediately went over to the bed to grab my cowboy boots and my hat and threw them on, making sure my pant legs were over the boot.

Forgetting about making breakfast, I went outside. I wanted to get Nickel out before we get back on the road.

I went to use the restroom at the Rest Area that we camped at for the night. Even though I have a toilet in the trailer, I didn't want to extra weight weighing us down when we go up mountains and hills. Plus, I didn't want to dump it later, it will only waste time.

After I was done, I got Nickel out of the trailer and lunged him for a couple minutes before turning around and lunging him the other way. As soon as we were done, I gave him a half a leaf before putting him in the trailer.

I went to the truck and started it, letting it warm up as I walked around the trailer to make sure that all the lights were working.

Satisfied that everything was working, I headed back to the truck and got in.

It was beautiful in the northern part of Colorado. There were pine trees and evergreens surrounding the bathrooms, making it seem like the spot where tourists can come and explore. I sighed and rubbed my eyes, trying to wake up a little more before getting back on the road. I looked at the dashboard and saw that it was only five in the morning.

It was late when I pulled in and late when I went to bed, but I knew I had to get somewhere safe; I had to keep going, sleep can wait.

With that in mind, I put the truck in drive and pulled out of the now filled rest area. Throughout the night truck drivers and travelers pulled in to bed down for the night.

The day started out just as it did yesterday, every time we stopped to take a break, I would lung Nickel for a couple minutes before loading him back in the trailer and on the road.

I stopped once at a small market at the northern part of Colorado to fill the cabinets in the trailer. By the end of the night we pulled in the rest area south of Montana.

The rest area was completely hidden from the road, the pine trees, that were so close together, made the bathrooms and the parking lot secluded. The sun went down a couple hours ago making the crescent moon and the stars come out. The only lights out here was the bathroom lights and the occasion of the headlights from the cars that came in.

After I parked and turned the truck off I opened the door and was immediately hit with the smell of pine trees and fresh air. The air in Montana was cooler than what I'm used to in Texas. It seems almost refreshing.

I quickly did my business in the bathroom before going back to the trailer to walk Nickel around. After walking him around, I put some feed in the trailer and loaded him up so he could eat.

After making sure that he was comfortable, I went around to the side and went into the living area of the trailer. Once I had something to eat, I changed into my pajamas, turned out the lights and climbed in bed.

From all of the states that I've been through, Montana would be my favorite. The way the pine trees, evergreens and aspens blend together makes everything secluded.

There's lots of land and trees that would seclude the area.

I could make a life here. I thought as I turned over on my side and drifted into sleep.
