My Girlfriend's Brother

Chapter 4 - The Wedding :

I follow Mrs.Phillips up the stairs as she says,"You can get ready with Maison in is his room. She lightly knocks on his door and he opens the door to reveal himself shirtless. I find myself staring, but I quickly look away as his mom ushers me in the door and shuts it after me.

I walk to the other side of the room and start changing into my suit as he after putting his shirt on starts to fix his hair.

I fumble with my tie. Why did my Dad never teach me how to tie one of these stupid things!

"Shit!" I yell as I untie the knot out of it. Maison walks over to me and grabs my hands to stop me, we stare at eachother for a minute before he lets go to fix my tie for me.

"It's not as hard as you're making it. Just watch and learn. Let me know if it's to tight."

I nod and he finishes tying it. He folds the collar of my shirt back down then rest his hands on my shoulders as he makes sure it looks good.

Then he gets this look on his face and I can tell something is wrong.

"What's wrong?", I ask. He drops his hands and goes to walk away from, but I grab his hand and pull him back to me.

We are super close and I ask again,"What is wrong?" He starts leaning closer to me and I do the same, but a loud knock on the door interrupts us.

I quickly back away and answer the door to see Madison. I cup her face and give her a long kiss. We smile at eachother then go to walk downstairs to join the other guest that are already here.

I turn to look back at Mace as we walk down the steps to see him sitting on his bed disappointed. What just happened?

I look to see Kion - Their aunt's soon to be husband. I walk over to him and shake his hand saying,"Kion, I haven't seen you in months!"

"I know, it's been to long! I'm glad you could be here! Hey, after Julia and I's honeymoon we'll come back. You, Maison, and me gotta play some video games together. Plus, we can play some ball together. You're still practing with that amazing arm of yours right?", He says.

"You know it! And we will definitely be doing all of that! Anyway, I should go get in my seat. I'll see you later when you guys are officially Mr. and Mrs. James! Congrats!", I tell him.

I walk outside to find my seat between Madi and Mace. I lock hands with Madison and smile at her, but I can't stop thinking about Maison and what just almost happened.

Our legs not so accidentally touch and we lock eyes, but then the music starts playing so we stand to watch Julia walk out.

Soon she's standing infront of Kion ad they're looking at eachother with love in their eyes. They are so happy.

I hope one day I have that.

Soon Julia and Kion are officially married and the wedding reception starts in side. I go up to them and say,"Hey guys! Congratulations to the newly weds! I always knew you'd get married.", I tell them.

"Aw thank you Landon!", Julia says as she pulls me into a hug.

"I'll be right, back I've gotta get out of this suit.", I tell them.

I walk upstairs then knock on Maisons door before entering.

We both finish changing and then I ask him to talk.

I ask,"Are you ok?"

"Why wouldn't I be?", he responds. Hen he tries to walk away, but I step infront of him.

"I don't know, you tell me. You've been acting really weird towards me lately.", I explain.

He whispers,"Yeah when you're with my sister..."

"Why? Wait..are you jealous? Dude you'll find someone some day. You don't have to act this way towards me because she's happy.", I tell him.

"It's not like that! I'm jealous not because she has a boyfriend, but because her boyfriend is you. She has the one thing I want and can't have!", He tells me.

I pull him closer,"Why can't you?"

Then I connect our lips and it's like everything else in the world freezes and we're the only people in the universe. We slowly part then I rest my forehead on his and we smile at eachother. My phone starts ringing, I take out my phone, it reads "Mom".

I click to answer,"Hey Mom"

"I know you're at Julia and Kion's wedding, but I really need you to come home. I'm sorry.", she tells me

"It's ok the ceremony is over. I'll be right there.", I respond.

I hang up the phone turning to Maison.

"Go ahead. Your Mom needs you, it's fine.", he says.

I walk out and head home. I walk in to see my mom crying on the couch, I rush over pulling her into a hug. She looks up and I see it, her eye is all swolen plus black and blue.

"He hit you! I don't care if he's my Dad, I'm gonna beat his fucking ass!", I yell.

She says,"There's no use! It's fine."

"No Mom, it's not! Men who beat women are little bitches! They're not a real man! Let's see how he likes it!", I yell.

"I know. I meant he's gone. After he did it he tried to apologize, but I kicked him out and told him we're getting a divorce. He's staying with your uncle Victor.", Mom explains to me.

"Ok, good. You deserve better than that! Where are the girls?"

"Upstairs,they're fine.",She assures me. She asks,"How was your day?"

"It was ok, no, it was amazing.", I tell her. We smile at eachother, hug goodnight and then I go upstairs to get in the shower.

I can't believe my Dad really did that! But luckly she's okay and I can just think about what happened before I knew.

Tonight really was amazing...
