i've been awake all night. the only thing i can think about right now is payton. i wanna know what he's doing and how he's doing. we talked for hours last night, and it felt like old times. but i felt so guilty. chase is my boyfriend, and i love him. at least i think i do..

my thoughts were interrupted by my phone making a noise. it was payton.

i had unblocked him everywhere hoping he would text me. and he finally did.

payton: hey.. i don't know if you're awake, you probably aren't but... i enjoyed our talk last night. kinda felt like old times, huh?.. anyways. i can't leave so you're kinda stuck with seeing me in school, i won't talk to you if that's what you want. i just wanted to let you know i would love to spend more time with you. and i promise i'm okay with you and chase, i mean i have to.. i just wanna be your friend

me: i'm awake. and yeah it did feel like old times. it was nice. i think i need to talk to chase first. before i decide anything

payton: that's okay. why aren't you sleeping?

me: can't.. :/ you?

payton: same..

School was finally over and i haven't seen payton or chase the whole day, i usually go with chase but today i decided to walk. i had so much to talk to him about but i didn't know where to start or what to say. i didn't even know what i wanted myself.

"sky!" i heard someone yell from the parking lot, i turned around and saw chase. shit.

he walked up to me and said, "where have you been? i've texted you all day, you haven't replied. are you okay?"

"yeah, i'm fine." i replied, "are you sure? we haven't spoken since that day with payton, you haven't even told me what happened.." he said

"this isn't the place to talk chase.." i said, with that i heard footsteps from behind me, i turned around and it was madi and payton

me and payton locked eyes immediately, "sky?" chase said, i turned around, "let's just talk at my place." i said feeling kinda bad that payton had to hear that

"okay" chase said with a smile on his face, "bye guys" he said and turned around towards his car

i turned around and saw payton and madi still standing there, "bye sky." madi said and hugged me, "bye." payton said with an obvious fake smile, i cracked a smile back and then walked away.

"so.. what's up?" chase asked as he threw himself on my bed, i took a deep breath and sat next to him

"your friend, payton?" i said, "yeah? what about him?" he replied

"he's my ex. i was with him for 3 years." i started, and then i explained our entire story.

,we started dating when i was 13, we went to the same school and he had been my neighbor since i moved in when i was 5, we always hung out and stuff but nothing really happened until i turned 13 and started developing feelings for him. we had a great relationship, we never really disagreed. everything were great until the day he broke up with me. i don't know what happened, the only thing i know is that he for some reason thought i cheated on him, and he yelled at me and after that he blocked me everywhere. i was in a bad place and he was all i had, i couldn't take it anymore and i had to see him everyday in school, i could literally see into his room from my window, i could never escape, i was so broken that i just couldn't stay there. so i moved here, and in the beginning it was so bad, i hated it, i knew no one except for madi, i didn't have anyone to talk to, my mom were out working all day every day. i was just so sad. but then i met you, and you changed everything. you made me happy again. i haven't felt this way in months. but. i don't think this is what i want anymore. i don't think i can be with you anymore chase..
