Dance in the Family (1D, bk 2)

Chapter Nine

Haley: Before you read this chapter, we have something important to tell you!

Zayn: The author acknoledges that she's been extremely slow on updates. So, to help you remember what's going on, we're going to give a brief recap of the plot so far!

Liam: Haley woke up from her coma thinking she was pregnant with Christopher James, who ended up actually being Eleanor's child. (5 months sleeping) She's going to be the godmother.

Harry: Beth had her daughter (Haleys' half-sister), Annissa Leigh, and named Haley the godmother. David Tennant is the godfather, whether it's stated or not.

Louis: Her dad lives with his new-ish wife, Gladys and their two children.

Niall: Haley is singing instead of dancing now, because of her coma and finding out Beth is her real mother. She has not spoken to her father about any of this, and she doesn't want to.

Mica: Zayn lied about where he was after Haley finally accepted his proposal (he didn't know that yet) so he could spend time with his ex, Perrie Edwards.

Haley: Mica moved back! She and Niall are secretly together, though it won't be secret much longer. Skylar also lives there for now.

Skylar: Zayn and Haley made up when he told her about Perrie dumping him to "improve" her reputation and he only met up with her to try being friends again. 

Liam: I have a new girlfriend, Melody, who I met while Haley was in her coma. Harry has a crush on a new girl named Christel, Chrissy for short. 

Harry: I have not once admitted to that!

Haley: I think you just did. 

Harry: ... Shut up.

Mica: Children, behave!

Zayn: So, now you're caught up to the current situations. If you have any further questions, please either leave them in the comments or send the author a message!

Mica: And because the author is completely stupid sometimes, I'm going to say this for her: Berlin is not actually in China. Which she realized when her sister (who she's writing this story for, by the way) rudely pointed it out to her. Berlin is, in fact, in Germany, and the author was thinking of Beijing. But for continuity, she'll continue to claim it's located in China. Please bear with her. 

Haley: This wouldn't have happened if I'd written my own story.

Zayn: You wouldn't have been honest about what happened, either.

Haley: Yeah... you caught me there. To the story!

Haley's POV (one week later)

Zayn and I kept growing closer over the course of the week, although he insisted on taking care of me. Something about me being a danger to myself in my current state... and maybe he was right. I made it a point to call Beth every day to check up on her and my sister. The first day I called, Matt answered. He'd talked to David, of course, and knew all about our run-in. Shockingly, the paps had not reported on my little meltdown, which was nice. I think maybe some of them have some decency after all. The boys have assured me that's not true.

My singing was going well, too. Simon told me I was improving every day, and he gave me the okay to sing my new song in my first concert. The concert that was in less than a week. David's show was just a night away, and the concert rehearsals were every night after that, but it would all be worth it. They've all assured me that after this first concert, I wouldn't even be nervous. But I remembered my first time being called up on stage with them... how everyone booed me off the stage. I didn't want that to happen again, no matter how much I pretended it didn't bug me. It really did.
