Chapter twenty nine - Lost & Found

Y/n pov

As Gabriel makes his way towards the "Thrown room" You stop and fall to the ground due to a high pitched ringing. Gabriel stops and goes to help you, but, the ground beneath you falls into darkness.

"Lucifer! Gabriel!" You cry out as you fall.

"Y/n!" You hear Lucifer yell but you see the walls you fell through rebuild themselves, you fall too far to see anything else.

You feel the ground hit your back and feel the air escape your lungs, blood runs down your lips and nose. You feel your ribs and back crack as you gasp in pain.

"Shit." You growl. You slowly pick yourself off the ground looking around. It's like your dreams void, but a concreate ground and a door. But this isn't a dream, you never went to sleep.

You go through the door and see a figure under a light you approach them cautiously. You hear the echo of your footsteps and the figure turns around quickly to face you.

"Y/n!?" The women calls out to you, her face lighting up.

"What... How do you..." You stare at her face, looking deep into her eyes and then you remember...

"Mother?" You gasp and run into her arms. (M/n = mother name)

"I never thought I'd hold you again." Your mother tells you. You can feel her sob into your chest and you feel tears threaten to spill from your eyes.

"What do you mean?" You ask pulling away. She sighs and wipes the blood from your face.

"Y/n, when I found out what Cain was doing to you, I took the first chance to get us out of there. I met Gabriel, your guardian angel. He and I lived together, best friends, protecting and watching over you. God was fearful of your birth so he came down and gave warnings to hand you over or he'd take you by force. Gabriel managed to convince him otherwise for the time being. Knowing who he had to put you in the hands of. Word of this reached Cain. He grew furious and came to attack us, I helped Gabriel in getting you to safety by distracting Cain. It cost me my life." She tells you.

"So, Chuck didn't kill you..." You think aloud.

"Chuck? Is that what he goes by now?" She smiled and you looked at her as she continued.

"Gabriel said he'd take you to his father and brother, who'd ensure you'd be taken to the Winchesters. Did he succeed?" She asked you in a panic thinking why you were here with her if she was dead. Where is here?

"Yes, he did... Mom, why are you here? Why not Heaven or hell, why here?" You look at this void that surrounds you.

"Instead of heaven, I was put under it all, in the in between. Not purgatory, but a wondering spirit in the void of my own imagination, God or Chuck as you call him, still didn't want risk of me returning to help you in case of trouble's." You look down and feel tears fall.

"Every dream I had with this void and the mirror... Was that you trying to reach out to me?" You ask her.

"Yes. I attempted to show you my location, but it was corrupted, making them into things of nightmares." She explained.

"How can I get you out of here?" You ask her, looking for an exit.

"You can't. But now that you're here, I can be at peace, once I make sure you and your boyfriend over there leaves, I can rest." You look behind you and see a worried Lucifer but behind him was Gabriel who pushed past and stopped in his tracks when he saw your mother.

"Gabriel?" Your mother called out.

"M/n." Gabriel said his whole trickster deminer dropping. He looked as if he was forced to killed a family of puppies.

"I'm sorry this happened to you. When I got back to the house it was already on fire, and you were... Oh god. I just-" Your mother shut him up by hugging him. Gabriel slowly hugged back. When your mother pulled apart, she had a hand on each of his shoulders.

"Gabriel you saved my daughter, stood up to your long-lost father. I'm thankful." She promised him, he nodded grateful that she didn't hate him.

"Speaking of how did Chuck come back when he was supposed to be afk?" You ask looking at Gabriel.

"He was still posing as human. He used same method as Naomi, taking it out of our memories, I just remembered that there was something missing, when I was with Cain... The torture he put me through kept my memories flowing back, I could finally remember and felt like I had failed you and M/n once again." Gabriel said. Your mother looked pissed that Cain hurt one of her best friends, but let it be for now.

"So, Lucifer huh?" Your mother elbowed you joking about your love.

"Mom. No. I mean yes but uh not uh..." You blushed and couldn't find the right thing to say.

"Calm down, I've been inside your head remember." You smile and blush not knowing what she'd have seen.

"Lucifer take care of her or I'll kick your ass, and Y/n, take care of your dumbass boyfriend. Coming back to heaven after everything. I question your choices at times Lucifer." You smiled at your mother and Lucifer.

"Make her happy." Your mother's small lecture made Lucifer bow his head and say,

"Always Ma'am." Lucifer smiled feeling your mother hug him, he looked at you awkwardly.

"Good. Now. As there is no other exit I'll have to do this the hard way, use your wings once the light is almost blinding and make sure to say hi to Cain for me when you kick his ass." You nod to her and she had tears in her eyes. This isn't goodbye forever you remember.

You, Lucifer and Gabriel hold hands and she quickly pulls her arms up and a golden light surrounds the three of you and forces you upwards, when you can no longer see the bottom, the light of heaven opens up until in almost blinds you, you feel your wings and pull the two angels through. Once you're up you open your eyes and the hole closes, you set everyone down. You see Castiel looking surprised to see you and tired as hell with a dead angel behind him. You notice all the blood, and cuts that litter his body and crawl to him.

"What happened?" You asked as you scrambled over making sure he was not on the very brink of death.

"I refused to fight, I beat them without fighting back, and held the angel blade to them, the laughed and finished the job themselves, as I watched in horror. I'm to weak to heal myself." You smile and cover Cas's arms and your iris's glowed f/c and you felt a large release of breath. All this energy being used to get out and heal Cas has taken a lot out of you.

"Y/n, what did you do to me?" Castiel asked you.
