'Shit'

Tai said angrily as he gathered his suitcase and his take out but soon dropped it as he held on to his chest as he felt a sharp pain.

'Ow, what's wrong with me?'

He thought as another sharp pain shocked him. He lightly bang on the door, no longer having the strength.

"Gloria, please......I don't feel good"

He said with a groan. Behind the door, Gloria rolled her eyes as she moved away from the door.

'Liar'

She thought leaving the door as she went to get ready for bed. Tai let out a pant as he struggled to breathe.

'I need to get somewhere'

He thought. As he stumble in steps, he made it outside and was crossing the street but failed to see a speeding bright light heading towards him.

1hr Later

'Knock, knock'

Gloria let out a yawn as she got up to answer the door.

'That better not be Tai'

She thought angrily as she swinged open the door.

"What the hell..."

She stated but was cut off as she saw it was two officers standing in front of her.

"Are you the fiance of Tai Kamiya?"

One of the officer asked. Gloria frown as she held her robe closer to her as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"Yes I am, what is this regarding?"

"There's been an accident"

"What?"

She asked with her eyes open wide, letting the sleep drive out of her.

"It was a hit and run. Your fiance is currently in surgery as we speak"

Gloria felt her heart drop as she covered her mouth in shock.

"Oh my God"

"My colleague and I are here to drive you to the hospital, if you want"

"Yes, just give me a minute"

She said hurriedly as she ran back to her bedroom and quickly got dress. Together they headed to the hospital. Gloria was surprise to see the Kamiya family and the digidestine all gathered together minus Sora. Kari quickly walked up to Gloria.

"What happened? We thought Tai was with you"

Gloria was already in tears and shook her head.

"I'll explain later, right now I want to see him"

/Emily will find a better place to fall asleep
She belongs to fairy tales that I could never be
The future haunts with memories that I could never have
And hope is just a stranger, wondering how it got so bad/

Kari nodded as she wipe away her tears and lead her to Tai's room.

"He's in the recovery room, he just came out of surgery"

They both stop as they came to the door. Gloria sadly looked to Kari.

"I want to be alone with him"

Kari nodded as she left. Gloria took a deep breathe as she head inside.

The tears continue to fall from Gloria's eyes as she saw Tai laying there bandage around his head, a few scratches from the glass covered his arms, he had one leg broken resting on top of a pillow. Gloria sob as she got closer and gently touch his hand.

"Oh Tai, I'm so sorry. If only I let you in then you wouldn't be in this situation. Its all my fault"

She cried as she shut her eyes and fell to her knees as she rest her head against his arm.

Tai slowly opened his eyes tiredly as he heard the voice that sounded familiar as his eyes clear he looked surprise to see his fiance there.

'Despite what happened, she's still here?'

He thought with a soft smile.

"Gloria....it's okay"

Gloria gasp as she lift up her head at the voice and smiled in tears as she stood up, embracing him and gave him a passionate kiss.

"Oh Tai, I was scared. I assume the worst of the worst"

She said once she pulled away. Tai tried to sit up a little but was too tired.

"Ow"

He said in pain. Gloria smiled slightly.

"Try not to move you just came out of surgery"

Tai nodded as he looked to the ceiling and then back to Gloria.

"What happened?"

"The polices told me it was a hit and run. When I came, everyone was already here"

"Who's here?"

"Your family and the other digidestine"

Tai nodded as he tried to think.

"How bad am I?"

"I would say you are one lucky man, Mr. Kamiya"

Said a voice. Gloria and Tai looked to see the doctor.

"What's my diagnosis?"

He asked. The doctor smiled at the couple as he grabbed the chart.

"You have a broken a leg, but the good news is that you didn't suffer any head trauma, a few bruises but that's to be expected and Mr. Kamiya I would like to ask, do you have history of high blood pressure?"

Tai frown as he looked to Gloria and then back to the doctor.

"No, I'm actually on the healthy side, why?"

"It appears, when you arrived your high blood pressure was skyrocket, you could have had a stroke or a heart attack"

Tai then gasp as he remembered the pain.

"Yeah I think I remember, my chest was hurting and I felt like I couldn't breathe"

"Those were the symptoms to a stroke and heart attack. Is there any problems, happening at home?"

Tai sadly looked down and Gloria decided to answer for him.

"We are trying to deal with a situation"

"Try to take care of the situation and Mr. Kamiya you will be staying here for at least a few days"

"Yes sir"

Tai said quietly
