Two days passed and Tai remained in the hospital. Gloria would go straight to the hospital after work and Kari would tag along with Gloria to see her brother. Gloria and Kari were currently at the cafeteria in the hospital.

"I don't know what Tai is complaining about the food here is great"

Kari said with a smile as she took a bite of her chicken sandwich. Gloria grinned at her.

"Probably because he can't get any of the good stuff"

She said with a laugh. Kari laughed along with her. As the laughing died down, Gloria took a sip of her coffee as she cleared her throat.

"Kari, there's something I been meaning to ask you"

"What is it?"

"The reason why Tai wasn't home with me"

"Oh"

Kari said quietly as she cleaned up her hand.

"I been wanting to know as well"

"I don't know if you know but Sora is pregnant"

"Yeah I'm aware of that from TK"

Gloria bite her lip before continuing.

"She claims that Tai is the father"

"What?!"

She yelled in surprise, causing people to look over their shoulder. Kari cringed as she duck her head down in embarrassment.

"I mean do you actually believe that, because Tai is not that..."

"I don't know what to think"

Gloria said cutting her off, she held her head as she felt tears once again gathering in her eyes. Kari sadly smiled at her.

"Hey it's okay"

"No it's not"

"I know you know that Tai can't be the father"

Gloria raised her head and one eyebrow.

"What makes you say that?"

"Because then you wouldn't be here"

"I'm here because I love him"

She stated firmly. Kari gently smiled

"I know you do and because of that I know that you have no doubt in your mind that Tai can't be the father, you have faith"

"Kari, I kicked him out of the apartment that night"

"Why?"

Gloria wiped away her tears as more came down.

"Because I was beating up Sora and he pulled me away from her..."

"Because she's pregnant"

Kari said cutting her off.

"I know what I did was wrong but..."

"You're hurting Gloria and I can easily see that"

Gloria shook her head.

"I just don't want to help Tai, raise a child that could possibly be his"

"You're just going to abandon him?"

"I can't, I tried leaving before but I just couldn't"

"You need to learn to trust him"

"I do, its just..."

"Gloria listen to me, I know about your past okay"

Gloria remained quiet as she listen to what Kari says.

"You are not going to end up like your sisters. There is a huge difference between you and them. Yes they had kids with different baby dads, but your different, you're engage to my brother. He loves you so much that he is willing to fight for you, why else would his blood pressure be so high, he's trying everything he can for he wouldn't lose you and honestly you are kind of pushing him away"

Gloria sadly looked down to the table.

"He needs you now more than ever. I know that you tried breaking off the engagement, but Tai is stubborn with a great heart"

"What do I do?"

She asked softly. Kari smiled sadly at her.

"Wait"

Gloria looked back to Kari.

"Wait?"

"Wait until the baby arrives"

"But that would take forever?"

"I know, but you and my brother are in this together. How about instead of focusing on the problem, how about you and Tai get started on the wedding plans"

"Kari, we don't have time to think about a wedding in this kind of situation"

"You can't keep going back to the problem..."

But Gloria cut her off.

"But once that child is born it would be a reminder that Tai had a moment of weakness"

"Tai isn't like that, Gloria. You should know that as well as me. Maybe this was a wake up call, not to Tai but for you"

Gloria slightly frown in thought.

"God forbid that if Tai actually did die, then where would you be? Constantly apologizing for not forgiving him sooner?"

Gloria sob as tears flooded her eyes once again. Kari had slight tears threatening to fall.

"Its the hard truth Gloria. Just forget about the past when there's is nothing to gain"

A moment of silence went between them. Gloria wiped away her tears as she slightly smiled.

"I'm gonna take a walk, okay. You just gave me a lot to think about"

She said as she stood up. Kari stood up as well and gave Gloria a big hug.

"Remember what I said"

Gloria nodded with a smile.

"Good then say it with me...

"Just forget about the past when there's nothing to gain"

They said together with a giggle.

"Good. Well I'm gonna check up on Tai and maybe sneak him in a cookie or two"

Gloria laugh with a nod.

"Tell him, I'll come and see him after a small stroll"

Kari nodded as she left. Gloria turn around as she headed out to a nearby park.

Tai's Room

Kari smiled as she saw her brother near the window on the wheelchair.

"Hey look who's up?"

She said happily. Tai turn to her with a frown.

"Where is Gloria going?"

He asked as he turn back to the window. Kari playfully glared at him as she made her way to see what he is looking at.

"Don't worry she is only heading to the park to think"

"Yeah probably thinking about leaving me still"

He said sadly. Kari shook her head.

"Is that honestly what you think?"

"I'm sure of it, after I'm release she is still going to leave me"

Kari heard a beeping noise coming from the monitor and frown as she saw the heart rate starting to go up. She look back to him.

"No she is not, I just gave her something to think about"

"Really?"

He asked as his heart rate went back to normal.

"Of course, she loves you Tai, really she does"
