"Not gonna lie, this place is pretty cool," Infinity said.

The group was walking along the vine bridges to the main platform in the center of the village.

Glory's scales near her feet decided that a strong purple was their go-to color, so she let them stay that way.

Wait, Jambu said purple means proud...

It's alright, they probably don't know that scale colors are linked to emotions. And Deathbringer still hasn't figured it out completely.

"Most of the huts are scattered around randomly, but the platforms do have somewhat of a structure. So as long as you stay on or near the walkways you'll be fine," Glory explained with ease as they kept on their way to the heart of the village.

It was still too early for sun-time, so RainWings were still going about their business.

There was a small problem though.

Most of the times she saw a RainWing, there was always some shade of green in their scales. Whenever they flew, it was just a few flaps before they disappeared into the trees.

They must still be shook up from yesterday, I should talk to them.

As they kept walking, there was a sudden warmth on Glory's neck. Like an animal had jumped down on her from the trees.

"What- oh, hello there Silver."

The grey sloth gurgled happily and snuggled close to the base of her neck.

"Did, did you just name your prey?"

Deathbringer rolled his eyes at Infinity.

"Sloths are like pets to the RainWings, Silver has been Glory's ever since I can remember," he corrected as he scratched Silver's neck.

Glory hadn't failed to notice that Deathbringer had become quite fond of the sloth over the last few weeks.

She thought it was cute, but that's something that her bodyguard didn't have to hear.

"So... how are you not tempted to eat that?"

"Like I told Glory, they're mostly fur, and they don't have a good flavor either. At least, that's what I've heard from others. I would never ever eat one myself. They're just too cute, ya know?"

Infinity hissed as a pink-colored Jambu answered her question. He had come up from behind them without anyone noticing.

"I was so hoping to see you again, especially when you straight up put a gun to my head," the hybrid growled.

The prince's ruff flared and he spread his wings in a surrendering act.

"Hey, you had a sharp-metal-thinga-majiga on my sister's neck," he shot back with narrowed eyes.

Infinity rolled her eyes, but before she could say anything else, Glory cut in.

The queen stood in front of Jambu with a stern look.

"What's your point?" She asked with a raised eye-ridge.

Jambu sighed, and his scales turned a slightly darker shade.
