When Lightning Strikes the Night Sky

Infinity and the other two dragons were now standing on the sun time platform where Morpha and the others had stood.

The female voice turned out to be a NightWing with dark blue scales and light purple eyes. She had a knack for honey, which Infinity had figured out by the fact that she couldn't stop saying she wanted honey for the last ten minutes.

Meanwhile the green RainWing was bit more quiet, but he had stated multiple times that he had to go and follow his so called 'ship'. Which Infinity had firmly replied with "no".

Infinity extended her claws so that they scratched the wood underneath them and growled at the strangers before her. "I want your names, and the reason why you're both here."

The NightWing grinned and said, "I'm Asmer, but you can just call me Asy. I was just tagging along so that this guy didn't get in trouble."

"Uh, ok?"

That's a strange name for a NightWing, at least from the few I have come across, which in truth aren't many...

The green dragon suddenly jumped up from where he was sitting and began to walk to the edge of the platform.

"I'm Gecko, and it would be nice to stay and talk but I have a ship to follow!"

Infinity frowned at his words and quickly grabbed the end of his tail while he was in mid-jump.

"What is it with dragons in the mainland? Do you all not know what patience is?"

"Hey, take it easy on him! He just gets excited over cute relationships, there's nothing wrong with that," Asmer defended.

Infinity rolled her eyes but then they widened when she realized what Gecko meant by his 'ship'.

"Have you been stalking Glory and Deathbringer?!"

There was a short moment of silence before Gecko chuckled awkwardly and absentmindedly twirled his right talon around so that his claws made a circle on the platform.

"When you put it like that, it does sound bit harsh... but I wouldn't call it stalking."

Infinity facetaloned and her tail lashed out in anger. "That is so messed up, and I bet if my brother found out what you were doing he would gladly sit down and play games with you. Maybe you could even be friends after that."

Gecko let out the loudest gasp Infinity had ever heard and she suddenly had a million questions thrown at her.

"YOU'RE DEATHBRINGER'S SISTER?!"

"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!"

"ARE THE QUEEN AND HER BODYGUARD ACTUALLY A THING?! HOW LONG?!"

"ARE THEY HAVING DRAGONETS??"

"OR DO THEY ALREADY HAVE SOME BUT THEY ARE A SECRET?!"

"CAN I MEET THEM!!"

Asmer had to pull Gecko away from Infinity so that she could find some space to breathe, but it was not easy. It was like the mention of Glory and Deathbringer sent him into some crazy-fan mode.

This guy is absolutely nuts.

Infinity stared at Asmer and Gecko with narrowed eyes and gathered her thoughts before she said anything.

They're an odd duo, but I don't think that they're the problem-causing kind of dragons. Except the RainWing, but any of the problems he causes will be his own rather than for us.

"Just so you calm down, I will just let you know that all of your questions are flat no's, with the exception of two. But the first one is a definite yes so that pretty much leaves you with one. Good luck finding out which one it is," Infinity said as she smirked at his reaction.

Gecko's eyes were wide and full with an emotion that could only be described as marvel, and he was smiling so hard that Infinity worried for a moment that he would break his jaw bone. Not to mention his scales, which were all shifting from a bright yellow to a rosy pink.

Asmer smiled at Infinity apologetically and began to pull a star-struck Gecko back into the trees. "We should go, but I'll make sure he doesn't go off and follow the queen again... for as long as I can hold him back. Goodbye!"

Infinity watched them jump back into the trees' shadows and then realized a moment later that she had no idea where Glory and Deathbringer had headed off to.

"Wait!"

Infinity went after them and caught up in a few seconds. This time, she was the one with questions.

Asmer had a surprised look on her face, just like Gecko, who probably thought that Infinity would tell him more about Glory and Deathbringer's relationship.

"Could you show me the way to the healer's hut? I'm new here and I don't know where it is from this specific point," the hybrid asked as kindly as she could.

Asking for help wasn't exactly her forte and she didn't want to mess it up. Otherwise she would be stuck on the platform until someone had the idea to look for her.

Gecko excitedly nodded and Asmer was the one to reply. "Sure, we can help you. It's not too for from here, and I know this rainforest like the pattern of my scales."

"Oh my moons! I get to help out Deathbringer's sister! This is the best day ever!" Gecko exclaimed with much excitement.

"By the way, what's your name? We told you ours but you never mentioned yours," Asmer asked as they headed again into the trees.

"My name's Infinity," the night and sea hybrid replied hesitantly.

I hope it was a good choice to use my real name...

"That's such a cool name! Just like Deathbringer's! Ahhh! Please never wake me up," Gecko gleefully shouted.

Infinity snorted in amusement. "Do you even know what his name means?"

There was a pause in the conversation, and the sounds from their talons landing and taking off from branches was the only thing heard.

Oh no, did I mess the interaction up? I never got to socialize much with dragons my age back-

"Hahaha, not really, but it sounds cool!' Gecko finally answered.

Infinity sighed in relief and found herself smiling a little at Gecko's innocence. Asmer stopped for a second and looked behind her and made eye contact with Infinity.

"Relax, we're friends now, we won't judge you," the NightWing assured with a smile. Right after she said that, she went back to jumping.

Infinity looked at the two dragons in front of her with light shock, which came mostly from her emotions.

I made friends? Wow, I guess I did. They're not bad I suppose. Friendship feels nice.

I know that's the second chapter in Infinity's POV but I thought it would be nice since all the other chapters are in Glorybringer POV.

Also, my birthday is in exactly 15 days!! Last year I didn't say anything because it was during my break, but this is one that I thought you should know. Why? I honestly don't know. But it just came up to my head and I thought to write it down.
