As soon as she saw Quicsktrike struggling to breathe, Glory called for her RainWing  guards hidden in the trees.

"Bring all the healers we have, and if you don't show up with them in less than five minutes, I promise you I will be the nicest dragon you've ever met in your entire life," Glory snapped into the trees.

Her voice was confident and demanding, but deep down she was terrified.

Quickstrike was unconscious, and her heartbeat was very slow; she was breathing in short little gasps.

Infinity was already taking action, she had her talons one over the other as she consistently pressed Quicsktrike's chest.

"Come on Mother, wake up! Keep fighting."

Glory grounded her teeth together in frustration.

What do I do? What can I do?
I can't let her die.

Deathbringer rushed to his mother and took Infinity's place.

He was stronger, therefore he had a better chance at getting her heart back to a steady pace.

"Glory, is there any strong scented plants? Or cold water? Anything?!"

The queen tightly grasped Infinity's shoulders and looked into her eyes with as much calmness as she could put in them.

"She's going to be okay, just relax and let her fight through it. The healers are on their way," Glory said.

"No! I can't just relax, she's my mother, and I'm not about to loose the last dragon  I actually care about," the hybrid yelled with tears dripping down her face.

Glory gaped at her, not having a clue on what she should say.

Infinity pulled away and went back to her mother's side.

"I think her pulse quickened, but I'm not too sure," Deathbringer confessed with a tired voice.

"Excuse me! Coming through, coming through!"

Five RainWing healers were climbing and jumping at full speed toward the group. Each one had a pouch around their neck with who knows what kind of herbs.

They better save Quicsktrike for Infinity and Deathbringer's own good.

Deathbringer and his sister reluctantly backed away from Quickstrike's body. The healers proceeded to lay her body on a cot they had brought with them before taking off back into the trees.

"Are you serious? That's it? They didn't even try to help her! What kind of healers- UGH!"

"Infinity, you need to breathe. Mother is one if the toughest dragon I've ever known, and this isn't a matter if she will be okay, it's a matter if she wants to be okay," Deathbringer remarked with a determined gaze.

"I..."

"I guess," was all Infinity said.

Peacefulness was hard to find back at the healers' hut.

Glory, Deatbringer, and Infinity were all waiting anxiously for the healers' results. They had taken Quickstrike to the very back of the hut, where a curtain woven out of banana leaves blocked their view.

Deathbringer hadn't even looked at Glory for the whole hour that they had been in there. Her bodyguard just stared at the floor as he mumbled, "Not again, not again," over and over.

At first she had tried to comfort him with her words and even a hug, but nothing she did pulled him out of his daze.

The Sea-Night hybrid was a bit more on the frantic side to say the least. Infinity kept punching the walls as she clung to sanity with what seemed was a single claw.

This is my fault, if I weren't here to stop Deathbringer, Quicstrike would be fine.

"My fault," Glory suddenly whispered aloud.

Although in a way it was, at the same time it just... wasn't. The queen hadn't made lightning hit Quickstrike, making her prone to her heart problems. Neither had she made Deathbringer fall in love with her, that had been his own feelings.

Everything that led to that very moment had another situation that linked it back to previous events.

Deathbringer's head snapped to her, and for a fraction of a second Glory was scared he was going to agree with her.

"No, it is not. This is no one's fault. This happened, but not because of you," he answered with a soft tone.

"Yeah I know, I'm just, not feeling myself right now," Glory replied with an small smile.

Deathbringer gave her a soft kiss on her head, "I don't think any of us are, love."

Glory did her best to keep her scales a neutral lilac, but she was exhausted and hearing Deathbringer call her 'love' was just too overwhelming.

He chuckled at her pink ears, but thankfully didn't press the matter.

Then, there was a flash of a different set of pink scales by the entrance.

"You're not yourself when you're hungry, eat a str- OUCH!"

"Today is not the day you pink rat," Infinity glared at him but snatched the basket of strawberries either way.

"Umm, I thought it was quite obvious that I'm a dragon. No one has ever called me a rat before, that's a new one," Jambu laughed as he strolled in with a cheerful smile.

"Wait, you're not a rat? Oh my moons, I sure must be an idiot," Infinity rolled her eyes as she popped three strawberries into her mouth.

Glory laughed lightly. It was always fun when her brother and Deathbringer's sister were both around.

"So, what happened? Like, why's everyone in such a sad mood?" Jambu asked as he sat down next to Infinity, not caring much about personal space as he grabbed a strawberry from the basket.

"Quickstrike had a heart attack or something of the like, and we're waiting for the healers to tell us how she's doing," Glory said with a small frown.

"Oof, thaz noth fwun," Jambu concluded with his mouth full.

"Yeah, she's obviously having the best time of her life back there," Glory sarcastically commented with a dead-pan face.

It was then that the curtain was finally pushed to the side

"She's stable, but uhh..."

"Spit it out," Infinity growled at the pale green healer.

"We... well, we don't think she will ever be able to leave the rainforest."
