N/A - K guys! I understand your need for more(and mine), so I've decided to start writing some more short stories based on this book. I have no idea what they're all going to be about, but this is where we start. There will probably be characters that are not alive in the actual book right now (cough cough Mr. Chans and Mercy) but I think we all need a little bit of Mercy's pureness. :) There will probably also be other characters that you do not know as well, such as Lynn, Annalisa, Cora, Oliver, and Gaetz. I'm not going to have specific posting dates cause I'm just doing this whenever I feel like it. :) Enjoy!!
"Cora!" Oliver yelled, chucking a shoe that bounced off the wall and barely skimmed his hair. He growled in frustration and stormed into the main room, finding no one.
"Cora!" he screamed again. "It isn't funny when you dump a bucket of steaming Ramen on someone!!" Hot noodles dripped from his face and fell to the floor, leaving a trail down the hall, the juice patching the carpet like blood, but tastier. He stopped and listened, quieting his heaving breath before he heard a small intake of air: laughter. His keen senses honed in to the laundry room at the end of the hall. He raced himself, slamming his shoulder into the door. Locked. Not for long.
"Cora, I know that you want to open the door.." I persuaded, my voice lowering calmly, directing my Gift through the seams of the wood. "It's not hard, just - " the lock clicked. I slammed it open with my slippery fingers.
"Traitor!" Cora shrieked, and Oliver saw Milo being thrown to the side after opening the door.
"I was doing my laundry!" Milo complained, tripping into a laundry basket from the inertia. Cora scrambled under Oliver's long legs before taking off down the hall. Growling, he ran after her, slipping in his socks as he swung around the corner. He cursed under his breath as he saw her disappear into the attic. Oliver hated the attic. But she left him no choice. And no ladder.
Unfortunately, Cora was small enough to move around without being heard, but Oliver still detected footprints above him. He followed them until they stopped and then moved again. The next second the ceiling tile to the right of Oliver's head was gone, and Cora dropped through the space, Allegra after her. He didn't pay attention to Allegra as he ran to grab Cora, holding her around the waist and lifting her above his head. She squealed as if she was being violently tickled, and Oliver allowed himself a smile. Teasing was the best. He continued to keep her thrashing body above him, walking toward the kitchen, laughing now.
"Wait! No, no, stop!!" Cora yelled, thrashing even harder. Suddenly Oliver felt a cold liquid seep down his shirt and splash his face. Cora spluttered as Ramen noodles coated her chest and face, soaking her hair, the harmless bucket hanging from the door frame.
"What was that?!" Oliver turned to find Milo and Allegra at the end of the hall. They high-fived, and Allegra shared a smirky wink.
"Gotcha!"
N/A - I also just have to address that Allegra was in the ceiling. She was collecting dust samples for Milo so he could find who knows what ;)
