Shit guys I've gotta get on my A-game, eh? Thanks for reading this if you read S&B I luuurv you and I know who you are O.O << That's right. I'm watching you. Beware.
*Sara's Point of View*
I nervously paced around our bedroom, worried about Skip.
"Sar! Just tell me what happened one more time." Beau insisted.
"I DON'T KNOW! I ALREADY TOLD YOU!" I shouted harshly.
He looked down and mumbled a quick, "Sorry."
I sighed. "I should be the one apologizing. We were on the phone, he told me Randy came, and he ended up going inside. Then I could hear Randy shouting something about...a, uh, girlfriend."
Beau looked a me. "You?"
I nodded. "I guess it's been a while since we've seen him. Anyway, so Skip wasn't saying anything, but I heard a window open and I think I heard him bring his phone outside with him. It was quiet for a while until I heard a gun shot, and Randy and Skip were talking with someone, I couldn't figure out who it was until I heard Randy say 'You look like your sister.' so I figured out it was James. There was a really short conversation then I just heard this blast of air and the phone went dead."
Retelling the short story didn't make anything better. Beau kept trying to call James but he wasn't answering his phone, neither was Allie.
"Beau?" I asked.
He already knew what I was getting at. "Skip's house?"
"Let's go."
On the 45 minute trip over, my eyes were glued to the window as I held Beau's hand tightly. "Do you think they have the same little car that they used a couple months ago? When they...got you? Or maybe it's that van Mallory used."
"I'm not sure. I just want to stay safe. I'm not letting anything happen to you." he said, giving my palm a quick squeeze.
The rest of the ride was fairly quiet, both of us were nervous and the car was bubbling with anxiety.
As we pulled into Skip's driveway, there wasn't already an ambulance there. I hopped out and ran to the backyard, James was there with a bunch of medics. He looked terrified. I didn't see Skip or anyone else.
"James!" I shrieked. "What the hell happened?"
"Randy." he murmured. "Susan. Fuck. We're all fucked, Sara."
"Wha-? James, what happened?
"I was on the roof...and Randy. And Allie. And Susan. And Skip. Randy kicked him off the roof. And when I was up there," he said, pointing to his own roof, "Susan got Al. And they both left. And Skip's alive. But he's not doing to well. And. Oh, God. Shiva. I miss her, I really do. Shiv's gone. Al's gone. You and Beau are gone all the time."
I looked at him, guilty. Avoiding more eye contact, I went to the medics. "How's Daniel? Where is he?" I asked.
"You must be Sara. There is a very high possibility he'll be paralyzed, miss. There's not much we could've done except get him to the hospital."
"He's paralyzed?"
"It's more than likely he won't be able to move from his waist to his feet."
I felt weak. I call my summer shitty and it bites me in the ass since it still has a few days to kill me a little. Skip might never walk again and if I stayed here...maybe I could've prevented it. Done something. Beau ran up and quickly caught me before I could pass out.
