Chapter 8- the Unthinkable

*Hiccups POV*

I wake up and my immediate thought is Merida. Is she still here? Or has she run away? I guess now is the time I find out.

I exit my room and walk around, looking for at least someone to show me where we have breakfast. I'm starved!

I finally find the dining hall where I see everyone eating. Even Merida, she looks as though she has thought everything through and made up her mind.

I take a seat beside Rapunzel earning a small growl from Jack.

"Look who's awake!" North boomed in his thick accent.

"What took you so long?" Jack asked with a little attitude.

" I woke up, but didn't know where to go, so it took me like 10 minutes to find this place." I answer, grabbing a slice of toast.

"Can you pass the jam?" I ask Merida, pointing in the jams direction. She looks at me and to the jam. Then she slides it across the table right in front of my plate.

I notice that her hand is covered in what seems to be like gloves. Maybe her fingers are cold? Wouldn't blame her, I mean, we're in the North Pole!

I shrug it off and start eating my jam toast.

"Today we are testing Merida, Hiccup and Rapunzel, to find out what their powers are. We have all got to be there so don't complain. Hopefully by the end of the day we will have figured out everyone's power and their centre, understood?" North explains, clapping his hands at the end.

We all nod and when I finish scoffing down my toast I follow everyone out of the dining hall.

We finally stop outside a room that looked as though it hasn't been used in years. Bunny opened the door and everyone entered.

"This room is Fire proof, water proof, and basically everything proof. We'll be using this room to train you three to use and perfect your abilities." Tooth explained, floating to the middle of the training room.

"Merida first" North instructed as we all followed him to a seperate room except Merida.

We could still hear and see her but she couldn't hear or see us unless we used the small microphone in front of us.

"Okay Merida, you need to focus and put all of your emotions together. Pretend no one is here and you're on your own" North said into the black microphone. She just nodded in response and closed her eyes.

We waited a minute or two before the unthinkable happened.

What happened with Merida? I guess you'll have to find out ;)
