Chapter 16- Chained Up

Hiccups POV

Gothel? Who's Gothel? Why is she here? I so confused right now.

"I had a little deal with that Pitch Black. I would help him capture the guardians, for my flower back. And I'm determined to never leave her out of my sight again." She said, cutting me from my thoughts. The odd woman started to walk towards us, slowly, but still closing the gap between the four of us and her with every step she took.

"And if anyone is going to get in my way, then they will regret that decision greatly." Gothel added taking two more steps so she was only about a metre away.

She pointed the dagger towards Merida, and my heart was pumping against my rib cage in anger and fright.

"Move or she dies." She said simply, giving us all no choice. We all swiftly move about two metres away from where Rapunzel lays. Gothel lets Merida go and walks in the direction of Rapunzel. Until jacks cuts in.

"What are you going to do with her?" He asks, worry plainly in his voice.

"Oh I'm glad you asked! I'm going to keep her here. And use her hair. You see, beauty is everything to me. And you can't be beautiful if you're old and wrinkly now can you?" She answers picking up the chains and re-cuffing Rapunzels wrists with them. Why would she want punzies hair? It's just hair.. Isn't it?

"Oh, has dear Rapunzel not told her friends the power her hair posses?" Gothel questions still gripping the chains. We all shake our head in response.

"Well! Why don't I tell you? Her hair controls a healing power, which can of course heal any type of wounds. It can also keep one young and healthy." She explained now slightly tugging on the metal links. We were all gobsmacked. But this isn't a time to be thinking about other things. We need to help Rapunzel.

I look over to Jack and see that he is already trying to figure something out. Good. I look to Merida and give her a small nod, in which she returns.

"We can't let you do that" I finally speak up, stepping forward with the other two either side of me.

"Oh? And what are you three going to do about it?" Gothel teased still pulling Rapunzel along the floor.

"This" was all Jack said before releasing a shard of ice from his staff, taking the witch by surprise.

"Now!" Merida yelled and we all went into action. With her helping free Rapunzel and with Jack and I taking care of the old hag. I make sure Merida is fine before shooting a strong vine in the direction of the woman, wrapping it around her arms and legs, pinning her to the wall. I made sure they were tight so she couldn't move.

"Now you listen VERY carefully. You try and hurt any of us. Or kidnap any of us. We will find you. And you will regret that decision greatly." Jack intimately said mocking her choice of words.

"Got that?" He demanded. Gothel nodded her head in agreement and Jack took a step back.

"Good. And to make sure of that, Hiccup here isn't going to loosen them vines. Try and cut them, he will feel it and make them ten times stronger and tighter. Clear?" Jack added, without breaking eye contact.

"Crystal." The woman croaked.

"Where is Pitch and the other guardians?" Jack asked more sternly.

"Like I would tell you" she spat.

"Hiccup." Jack requested and I took that as my que. I tightened the vines, slowly until she was in pain.

"Alright! Alright! He has them in a lair, I don't know where or what it is, but he said he has got them in a lair. That's all I know I promise!" She pleaded and I stopped tightening the plant. I looked at Jack and he just nodded before we left her alone.

We made our way to Merida and Rapunzel who were next to the window.

"Shall we go?" I asked when I got nods in an answer I decided to make a tree instead of boring vines to lower Merida and I down.

Once we all reached the ground we ran for the cave in which we came. When we were out we slowed to a walk.

"Jack, I don't know if I can 'feel' if she tries to do anything to my vines.." I said, bringing back the subject.

"I know. I just said that to make sure she doesn't do anything, just tighten them every once in a while" he answered keeping his eyes glued to the ground.

"Okay" was my answer.

"Um, I want to say thankyou, guys for helping me. I don't know what I would have done." Rapunzel started.

"It's alright Punzie. Would have been the same if it was anyone else." I said. Giving her a small smile.

"HEYY! Only I can call her that!" Jack shouted as he playfully pushed me. Wow. He likes her. How could I not have seen it before?! Oh my goodness! In return for the push I made a flower fly into his hair and stay there.

"Suits you, frost" I hear Merida snigger from behind. I look back and see that the girls are trying hard to keep their laughs in from our little 'fight'.

"Be quiet, red" Jack teased as he thrashed around widely trying to get the one pink flower out of his hair.

"Never!" Merida shouted running in between Jack and I, giving him a little shove, with Rapunzel tailing behind her. Both laughing and being chased by Jack. At that moment I realised that this is my new family.

"C'mon Hiccup!" I hear Rapunzel's voice thought the trees. I love my new family.

Hi! So I don't know how I feel about this chapter... I'm okay with it, I'm just not sure it's good. What do you guys think?

Anyway, I'll hopefully be updating soon :)

What do you think about a sequel? I mean, I'm not finished yet but I have a feeling I'm going to be finished soon, so I was wondering what you guys think??
