Chapter 16

Marcus's POV 

As Ryku charges at me I sense that Riya is leaving the village, but instead of worrying about my brother's girlfriend I foucused on what I can learn from fighting Ryku. As he closes in I shot some shadow arrows to create some distance between us. "So why are you here Marcus." He asked. "Originally to come collect Riya, but now I want to know how your demon form works and I want to see your pattern." I said as I'm creating shadow arrows.

Ryku's POV 

As soon he said he was here to take Riya, I got so angry I gripped my hand into a fist so hard were blood was making a puddle in my hand. "You know what I'm going to kill you and the rest of the Dark Elementals, along with the Black Knight." I said with some much cockiness. I created wind swords that learned to make after facing Hauko and sent them flying at Marcus, he countered them with his shadow arrows. "Answer me this, why are you here for Riya?" I asked as I created a Wind Dragon. "Because she been away too long and Red requests her in his presence." He answered in a weirdly calm way. "Well Red can come do it himself because you're not taking her." I said full of determination. I sent the Wind Dragon at him then I blasted a particle cannon beam, he dodged the dragon but I got him with the particle beam.

Marcus's POV 

As I'm recovering from his attacks I start to wonder if he likes Riya but then I realized that it couldn't be possible, so I dropped that idea and created a shadow sword and charged at him. I swing at him but with him surged his speed is unmatchable which makes his evasion is easy for him, I just need to find a way to turn off Surge, long enough to land a fatal blow on him. "Just give up you and the Dark Elementals with never win because when we defeat you we're going to defeat the Emperor, and you have no chance of killing me and my sisters because of our creature forms." He said with confidence in his eyes. "Oh your creature forms, well how unfortunate for you to know, us Dark Elementals, have creature forms as well." I laughed at the look on Ryku's face from the surprising fact. After I told him, I made my Serpent scales appear and grew out my Serpent tail covered in tattoos pulsing with my shadow powers, my nails grew out to become claws, after I finished transforming, I saw the fear in his eyes but then he smiled like he knew he was going to win but that didn't bother me so I charged at him and he did the same but his speed increased where I see a black/blue blur but I still saw his person but he's faster to the point where he can counter my Serpent speed.

Ryku's POV 

As I'm charging at Marcus in his Serpent form I noticed that I'm running faster than 17% of Surge, I thought to myself with my emotions going wild my body increased the percentage to maybe 25, I didn't even think I just ran, he dodged then I started a goose chase with him struggling to catch me, with his form his speed is almost the same as mine.

Lika's POV 

I found Trish and Kuro and told them what's going on with Ryku in the village. Both of them blitzed like there was no tomorrow, when we're about 15 miles away we see two blurs, one was black/blue and the other one was yellow/black chasing the other one, then we see them running in our direction, as they're closing in we jumped out their way but when they pasted us I sensed lightning form the one in the front and realized that it was Ryku. "What the hell was that!?" Kuro asked with excitement. "That was Ryku and the demonic presence he sensed outside the village and before you ask I don't where he's going but probably away from the village." I said with some worry. The blurs came back around and as they pasted us I got swept up by the yellow/black blur and when we stopped I saw Ryku out of breathe and I felt a cold hand wrapped my neck squeezing it, I yelled in so much pain that my voice was dying out.

Ryku's POV 

I catch my breath I look up and I see Marcus holding Lika by her neck. "Don't move boy if want her to live then bring me Riya and I let her go do we have a deal?" He asked with anger.  "Okay, okay fine you win just please let her go I beg you." I said with tears streaming down my face. "Actually I have a better deal: you join us in replacement of Riya and I will not come no where near your family or friends, how about that?" He said. My eyes widened with sadness as I tried to process what he just said to me. "Ryku!!!" I heard a familiar voice call my name. I turn around and see it's Florren, I feel a little bit of comfort that I'm getting help, but when I turned around I saw Lika stabbed thru her chest by Marcus's tail, I fall to my knees and burst out crying out of sadness and anger. Marcus walks up to me and looks down at me. "Pathetic you could've saved her but you didn't and now you'll join her." He said with pleasure. He created a shadow blade around his hand and pulled it back ready to kill me, but I got up, consumed by my anger I yell so loud that it sent him flying a good seven feet.

Marcus's POV 

I recover from his shout, I looked up and saw him surrounded by a pillar of wind and lightning, I look inside and see his demon patterns appearing and his two marks form on his left eye and left hand and his left eye turned into a mixture of red and purple and a black wing grew out of back on his left side. As I see him transform I feel excitement rushing thru my body, the pillar fades way and I all I saw was a black blur come at me and the next thing I know is that I can't breath and I see that we're miles off the ground, he tossed me up, I tried to catch my breath but as soon I tried, pain just flew into my body from him throwing a flurry of punches and kicks .

Kuro's POV 

As me and Trish go to the spot we saw the pillar of wind, when we got there we see Lika laying on the ground with a hole in her chest and blood all around the area, I started tearing up and before I said anything I see Florren running towards us. "Hey where's Ryku?" She asked looking at me crying. I looked up and saw a figure with one black wing beating the crap of serpent/demon character. "He's up in the sky defeating the demon that killed Lika." I said pointing up at the fight above us.

Trish's POV 

I look up and see what Kuro was talking and I see Ryku just lost in his anger and destroying the demon/serpent creature, I look at Lika's body then at Ryku and I start crying but it wasn't because I was sad, I was crying for Ryku and how he's doing everything to win. "Florren try your black flames to bring Lika back." I said as I create a stone bed underneath her body. "But in order for the flames to work she has to forget someone in her life, to bring her back." She said with worry in her voice. "Then make it where she forgets me Florren." Sera said walking up to Kuro and giving her a hug of comfort. "Sera no we can't do that you both are good friends." I said with tears in my eyes. "Look I know you all disagree with my decision but look at Ryku and how he is now, that's because Lika was murdered in front of him and he lost it and now he's a demon again, so please just do it I know he'll go for Lika when this is all over but that's pain I will endure so I'll ask again make her forget me." She said with so much sadness in her eyes. I gave her a hug and held her tight in my arms. "After all this I be staying in the Blue Forest for while." She said transforming back into her wolf form and ran away towards the Forest. "Okay let's bring her back Florren you ready?" I asked her. She agreed and started lighting her hands with black flames and placed them on Lika's body engulfing her body in black flames.
