God's Reborn

Chapter one: The time has come

London, a magical city filled with stories and adventures some with love and passion others driven by revenge and mystery but today we will follow the story of three young men and how their lives changed forever.
So let's begin with Kayle. Kayle lives in a  small apartment in central London he is skinny and tall with red hair and glasses he wakes up every morning eats his breakfast of toast and jam watches his favorite tv drama and goes to work in the IT department of a major corporation.
he gets in at nine o'clock sharp and sits at his desk and wait for duty to call as his mind fills with his favorite books and films thinking of the adventures and heroes he closed his eyes and imagined himself on the top a volcano where there was an ominous building grey and dark it the type that you would think way abandoned if the lights weren't  on he stepped inside and he instantly got attacked by a ninja that dropped down from the ceiling in to his in an attempt to stab him with the dagger he held but Kayle saw him just in time turned and grabbed  him and threw him on the floor with one swift motion.
"When will you learn that you cannot kill the indestructible kayle," he said to the ninja the indestructible Kaybe is what he liked to call himself as a superhero name he wasn't a very creative person. 
the ninja looked up and him and laughed as he vanished. Kayle just smiled and said in a deep and heroic voice which was not his real one but it's his imagination and he may do as he wishes
"Oh come now not these old tricks again, how about I make you a deal you give me the girl and I might let you live?" By the girl, he means his imaginary girlfriend Jane who in this story has been kidnapped a dark haired girl with a beautiful face and body the one problem is that she is not real but what can you do.

"If you want to save her than you have to defeat me," said the ninja which was still invisible 

"very well I have done it once I have done it a thousand times," said Kayle drawing seemingly out of nowhere a blazing sword on the hilt of which was a dragon head and the fire all over the blade malted any metal near it. After a few seconds of silence, Kayle was getting impatient 
"come out and face me coward " he yelled and then the ninja appeared before him and then another and then another and soon the whole building was full of them all exactly the same.
"Great I was worried that this would be easy," said Kayle and he swung his sword taking down at least ten or twelve who tried to jump him from his right, then h swang to his left another twenty he spun around getting more and more of them, then he thrust his flaming sword forward casting a blazing tornado that killed the rest in a fire of glory he laughed as h watched the evil ninja burn to ash, then  he fell off his desk and opened his eyes to everyone in the office staring at him he felt embarrassed and he didn't say anything he just got up fixed his chair and sat on his computer and pretended to work as if nothing had happened.  

After work when he finished his shift he was walking home and mumbling to himself 

"oh no I can't believe I fell off the desk I bet I looked like a real idiot" he kept walking until he saw a poster for a new superhero film that was coming out it was his favorite "lighting man 3 quest to another world" he said looking in the eyes of lighting man in the poster "I wish I was like you" he said lightning man was muscular and strong fearless all the things that Kayle was not but wished he could be. and then he heard a scream of a woman come from behind him he turned to see a young lady run towards him, her clothes were half torn off and one of her shoes  was missing  she ran up to him and fell on him out of breath she whispered as loud as she could "please help me call the police!" Kayle tried to get his phone out to call the police but then someone came up from behind the young lady and took it a nasty tattooed individual who looked and smelled as if he had never heard of soap. And soon there was there where three more who as looked and smelled the same a tall fat one a sort one and a skinny one with no teeth "there will be no need for that now will there he said "  as the woman hid behind Kayle "how about you just walk away son and pretend like nothing happened here" said the skinny one with no teeth. Kayle looked around there was no one in sight, he knew he must do something but h didn't know what he just thought to himself "what would lighting man do"h stood his ground and in a very shaky voice he said "now.. now.. listen here you... you fiends you better get away from here before i.... will have to deal with you " he put his fists up in a attempt to seem intimidating it did not work "ooo lads we got us tough one here " he said as he all laughed then he pulled out a knife and quick as a flash he stabbed Kayle in the stomach and whispered in his ear "you had the chance to walk away son, but you didn't listen now look what you've gone and made me do" Kayle fell to the ground moaning in pain as the fat one and the skinny one started to kick him while the other two grabbed the girl while she screamed then it all went black he felt nothing he hered nothing he saw nothing until a woman came out of the darkness " My child what have the mortals done to you" she said in a sturn voice Kayle's vosion cleared and he saw an eldery woman in beautiful blue roabs with embroided with gold and silver she walked up to him then he said "where am I who ar you?" she smiled as she hugged him telling him 
"My son you do not remember me but a mother never forgets her child mortal or immortal" Kayle was confused but before he could speak she let go of him raised her hand as a ball of lighting and thunder came into existence in her palm, then she looked him in the eyes and said "May the mortal bounds be lifted off my child rise once again god of the heavens and king of Gods Zeus" she threw the magical ball at his chest sending him back through the darkness until he saw the light of the living world once more, his once dead body that the bandits where still kicking started to shine with a blinding light that shook the bandits and even the young lady to the ground as he stood his body transformed he grew taller his clothes could no longer contain bulging muscels his hair grew and turned white like the clouds his eyes blue as the sky the light faded away and he awoke. He felt strange he turned to his right where there was a closed shop and in the window, he saw his reflection and he was stunned he didn't know what happen but was glad it did. "boss what happened?" said the skinny one with no teeth "how the hell am I supposed to know said the one that stabbed Kayle "I thought I killed him" 
'Well you didn't kill me " Kayle took a step back his voice had changed too it was deeper and manlier like he had always dreamed "But I told you if you didn't go away I would have to deal with you" he turned to face them without thinking he lifted his hand and pointed his finger at the bandit leader, lightning flew out of his hand and hit him he was screaming in  pain . Kayle quickly put his hand down as he did not know what just happened but his first thought was as a but grim came upon his face "I'm lighting man" he thought ton himself . The Bandits picked up their leader who was still shaking and ran away screaming something about the lighting and freak, Kayle could have sworn he heard a sorry thrown towards him at some point but then he remembered the woman who was looking at him as if she believed that she had gone insane Kayle froze he wanted to say something heroic like "I'm only here to help" or  "justice" hell even a "are you ok?" would have been perfect but Kayle was not very good at talking to women he had only had on girlfriend in the  past it didn't go very well or lasted to long and for a twenty five year old man its not a very good record after a long awkward silence the young women collected herself and stood up and thanked him for saving her life. Kayle after a few attempts managed to say "you're....... welcome" then she followed with "who are you?" Kayle turned around and started to panic, he had not thought of a superhero name he wanted to say lighting man but that was taken then he thought of the indestructible Kayle but he remembered how stupid that was but then he remember what the old lady called him "the god of the sky king of gods Zeus" he found it, he turned around much to the shock of the young lady and frantically said "Zeus my name is Zeus" she smiled at him and said "nice to meet you I'm Niccola".

And there we have it one down two to go let's start with our next hero Danny who lives in the rich part of good old London, in fact, he is not in London right now he is in his countryside cottage next to the sea. Well, I say his I mean his parents who have invited him to come with them on their holiday. the cottage was old and made of stone it only had a phone and lighting but that was about it, they were only staying a weak for that was it was really good for before anyone got bored. Danny loved it and his parents knew it that why once a year they would take him Danny's father owned a large business back in London so he could afford it, and Danny despite being a fully grown man still lived with them he wasn't a spoilt little brat like most people thought he gave away most of the things he had to people who didn't. the only thing he wanted from life was adventure he had traveled the world, Asia America Africa, he had seen almost all of it but he wanted to find something new a place where no one had ever been before. As his parents where unpacking he was looking out into the sea wondering what strange lands lay away from human reach what new discoveries and dangers awaited for him.
"Danny stop daydreaming and come help your poor mother get the bags out of the car you know she has a bad back," said his father a strong stern  almost emotionless man all the years of dealing with two-faced businessmen had taken their toll on him, but he still loved his family and showed ofter enough "Oh leave him alone he is allowed a bit of freedom" said his mother a kindly older woman who always had a smile on her face "but dear your back the doctor said you shouldn't carry heavy things"."and when have I ever let a man tell me what to do? she said "He is right mum give them here," Said Danny as he took that bags from his mother's hands.

they went inside and got settled down for a few hours until Danny's father looked up from the newspaper he brought with him and said "how about we go in to the village and get something to eat?" there a small town about ten minutes away, its  a seaside town no a lot of people in it but it still has a couple of restaurants and pubs and such " oh don't worry dear I'm cooking" said Danny's mother from the kitchen "that's exactly why I suggested we go" he responded then she came out of the kitchen and hit him with a cloth. I said he was stern I didn't say he had no sense of humor. " I'll go with you dad," said Danny "great don't worry dear we will bring you something back," said his father. As they were walking out the door Danny's mother reminded them to not stay too late because the forecast said something about a storm or something like that neither of them paid attention they where both thinking the same thing. Down at the peer of this small town was a little ice cream truck that had the best ice cream in the country they every time they are in town they have one every day for the whole trip. As they were driving down Danny's father asked the one question Danny did not want to answer " so son what do you think you are going to do with your life?" Danny looked out of the car window " I don't know dad there is just so much out there, I mean I want to have a great time and enjoy life but at the same time I feel like I should be helping the world you know make it a better place and all that"
his father did not know how to respond so he just nodded his head and said: "good son very good". 
by now they were at the pier with at the stand waiting in line to order when the woman in front of them with a small child started to panic as she realized that her wallet was stolen and she couldn't pay for the ice cream she started to cry. Danny held her and said " hey dont worry we will pay for your ice cream won't we dad?" his father looked at him and just shook his head and smiled as he pulled out a twenty-pound note and gave it to the ice cream man. The woman still crying tried to say something that sounded like thank you but it was too hard to make out " its ok now you better get down to the police station and report your lost wallet ok?" said Danny she knoded thanked them again and left. they go their ice cream and were sitting on a bench eating it slowly when Danny's father broke the silence "That was a nice thing you did back there" "
-"no dad you paid for it" 
-" but I wouldn't if you want so kind and foolish"
-"what do you mean?"
-"that woman could have been scamming you pretending to have lost her walled to trick you into buying her free ice cream" 
-"I know Dad," said Danny looking sad
-"So if you knew why did you still do it?" Danny looked at him with tears in his eyes
-"because dad think of how poor that woman must be in order to lie to get ice cream"
his father hugged him, Danny did not like the idea of people being sad or upset in any way he always tried to help people but sometimes they did take advantage of his kindness and this devastated him all he wants is to help but h couldn't tell the difference between a lie and the truth 

"come on son you know I didn't mean you did a bad thing, in fact, I'm proud of you"
-"really dad?"
-"yes son there are very few people as kind as you are all I'm saying is be careful"

at that moment it started to rain so they headed back to the car but it wouldn't start so they thought they would spend the night in a small hotel by the peer thy called the cottage all Danny's mother did was laugh at them. Night came and the storm got worse soon you the rain was pouring down so heavily and the wind so fast no one was allowed outside but Danny's father was fast asleep in the bed next to Danny's but he was looking outside at the rain and the thunder and the lighting peacefully until he looked at the seaside to what looked like a man struggling by the water without a second thought he ran out in his underwear in the freezing cold rain he ran down to the beach found the man grabbed him lifted him on to his shoulders and carried him back to a safe spot "Are you ok?" he yelled for the rain was so loud you couldn't even hear yourself think the man pointed out to sea then passed out Danny looked at him and saw that he was wearing a sailors uniform, he knew what had happened there was no coast guard or anyone around to save a sinking ship so he saw a rowboat on the sand that seemed to be the sailors he just found, without a second thought he grabbed the ors got in and atarted heading out fighting the waves that whipped and lashed him around as he was frezzing to death slowly he knew he couldent just leave people to die he had to do somethin. And as all this was going on in his head a giant wave hit him and flipped him over, he was now under water he came back up facing land but an even bigger wave with the rowboat on it struck him a second time, and now he was out.

all he felt was the water, in his lungs and around him he opened his eyes to see a light the light on the women we met earlier in this story but Danny had yet to see she touched his chest and even though they where underwater he could very clearly hear her say "time to return to life and to the sea Poseidon God of the seas" and he shun like a star in the night sky his body grew him muscles his hair now gray like the foam of the sea when he opened his eyes again she was gone, but h could breathe so he swam till he found the sinking ship and pushed it to the beach when they got there and he stood on land everyone was there to see what was going on Danny's father came out to him and said "Danny  what happened to you?" Danny looked at himself them around him then at the ship he just saved and finally at his father and said: "I think I found a way to help people".



Anz now the last hero of our story is a little different than the last two first of all he is the youngest at only twenty years of age he lives on the street with his older brother in a gang of thieves his name is Ash. Right now he is under the bridge where he spends most of his time with a notebook and a pen that he stole writing poetry this it was his passion his only freedom in the cruel world that surrounded him this is what he was writing.


    "Oh the kind whisper of death 
sweet like honey to my ears 
if I stay if I go
will there be tears

oh, my friend, I will come
and settle my bet
but leave me a moment 
I'm not done here yet"


As he wrote the last words his brother and the rest of the gang show up from behind him and grab his notebook "oy what this then Ash?" said Harry the stick as he took the notebook of him "Its none of your business give it back!" said Ash and he tried to jump to take it back but Harry what much taller than him and Ash wasn't the tallest person, in fact, he was quite short and plump "oy lads he fancies being a poet" he called to the rest of the gang "ey let me see den" said mike the bomb which was the largest of the group and rather dull."e... oh wait I can't read hehe" he said while smiling Harry burst out laughing a very unpleasant site considering he had almost no teeth "oy give it here" said midg the shortest one of the group that's the only reason they called him midg he wasn't a dwarf but you could say you could lose him in a croud, he was the top pickpocket in the city. 
"lad you may not know this about me but I was a poet once," said midg 
-"really well tell us something then"
-"yeah go on midg" said bomb and stick 
midg put his hand on his chest and looked up to the sky and said in a very sarcastic voice

"Oh how I long 
for another shot chummy
so can work together 
and steal twice as much money"


they all burst out laughing until ashes brother came along all took the notebook of them and gave it back to Ash he took him off to the side by the water that ran under the bridge 
"don't listen to em mate remember none of them can read"
-"sorry I embarresed you again brother," said Ash as he held his notebook next to his chet
-"You're not embarrassing me little bruv, I'm proud of ya"
-"you're lying I know you are, its ok listen I have something I need to tell you"
-"go on then what is it?" Ash looked away h knew what he was going to say might hurt his brother.
-" I was thinking of going to college" there was a pause as the smile drained from his brothers face and turned in to sadness 
-"listen bruv you know money is an issue  for someone that lives like we do"
-"but that's it brother I send my poems in and they are willing to offer me a free scholarship because they liked them or something like that"
"what? what do ya mean?" Ash pulled out a little letter from the back of his notebook and gave it his brother, he opened and read it as he did his filled up with tears.

"Brother are you ok?" Asked ash 

-"little brother I av never been happier" he responded as he gave Ash a big hug" with tears in his eyes Ash asked
-"but I thought you would be upset that I would leave the gang"
-"brother do you think I want this life for you, I want you to be happy and not have to live on the streets like we are now. come on let's go tell the rest of em" they told stick and midg and bomb and they where all happy as could be. They may make fun of him but at the end of the day, they saw each other as family. Bomb reached into his pocket and pulled out an old bracelet and gave it to Ash and said "I was saving this for your birthday but can ave it now if ya like" Ash thanked him and after a bit of food and drink they ball went to sleep. It was cold that night but they where all used to sleeping outside, but Ash was still awake thinking about how great his life would be but he was aware of what was about to happen.
 Around the corner came the rival gang six of them. They called themselves the silent six only their leader could talk they were all holding bats with nails in them, dark clothes with chains, they were not desperate people they only wanted to kill and hurt people for fun. Ash woke everyone up.
" wake up fatties I want the tablet," said the silent six leader called the first as he swung his bat in the air 

-"I told you we lost it," said Ashe's brother as everyone hid behind him 
-"oh yeah, some bird took from you and then some lightning man zombie saved her, saved the lies for the copers" the first is referring to what happened about a weak ago we all know what he is talking about but Ash has no idea, yet.
-"listen here First what I told you is true"
-"yeah yeah listen,  that old man Robinson is paying a lot of money for that tablet you stole the museum all I want to know is where it is?"

"I told you it got stolen" the first gave a wave and one of the other member of the group came forward and started to beat Ashes brother with his bat. " NO shouted Ash as he ran out in from to shove the other gang member away despite the efforts of stick bomb and midg to stop him, but it didn't go well as soon as Ash pushed him away the rest grabbed him  and put him on his knees "YOU LEAVE HIM OUT OF THIS" cried Ashes brother as he bled everywhere on the floor. Then the first said "Alright you tell me where the tablet is and ill leave him out of this but if you don't I'll kill him" Ashes brother stood up as best as he could "I told you I don't know, let him go please" The first looked at him dead in the eyes and said "wrong answer" and started to beat Ash with his bat and the rest of the six joined in. Ashes eye quickly filled with blood as he heard the struggle of his friend trying to save him as he was dying he felt lighter and lighter until he felt nothing but stone. He opened his eye he was in a dark place, it appeared to be underground he looked around there was nothing but endless tunnels and stairways and behind him a throne. 
He walked towards it and as he went to touch it a voice came from behind.
-"I remember when you ruled this place Hades" frightened he turned around and saw the elderly woman we have mentioned before in this story walking towards him out of the darkness.
-"who are you, where are my friends, are they ok?" she just walked up to him put her hand on his head and said "Lord of lost souls, King of the underworld, God of death, rise once more" from the ground appeared ghost-like entities that surrounded Ash and lifted him to the surface world. Where his body transformed, no longer short and plump but tall and strong. He looked down at his friends all gone just bodies now. With furry, he faced the silent six who were still there all of them stunned by what they had just seen. his eyes turned white and he raised his hand palm facing the sky and out of the ground came the same spirits that brought him back, but this time they had a different purpose kicking and screaming thy where dragged down slowly until they were on the floor. Ash then said "tell me why did you do this" the First looked up and said "old man gave us money to kill em and find the tablet" he was still panicking Ash band down looked in the eyes and said softly "wrong answer" and then the spirits ripped here souls out of there bodies and dragged them down to the underworld.
