Chapter five: The top of the world and the bottom of the sea

"Wake up gays time to go" shouted Nicola down  the corridor were the rooms of the Gods were Danny woke up in his bathtub and hit his head on the wall, Ash was halfway through getting his pants on but the sudden yell made him fall over, Kayle, however, was fully dressed and simply stepped out of the room. He was wearing a Hawai shirt, a straw hat, shorts, sandals, a pair of sunglasses and two giant travel bags filled with clothes. Nicola looked blankly at him 
"This is a business trip, not a holiday"
-Kayle"yes but I have never been outside of the Uk before"
-Nicola "really?"
-Kayle "yeah whats Greece like?"
-Nicola "well its hot, good food, and we are going to meet a very important person there so you better have something smart to put on"
-  "yeah his superhero costume," said Ash as he walked out of the room eyes half shut and no bag what so ever 
-Nicola "please tell me you didn't bring it" she sais as she stared down Kayle but he didn't say a word "ok in five hours we are flying you three better be ready by them and Kayle please no costume" Nicola went downstairs and Kayle looked at Ash and shook his head 
-Kayle "what are wearing?" Ash was wearing low hanging pants a shirt that was at least five sizes too big for him and they were both black as night "we are going to sunny Greece you better bring something that's better suited for the weather"
-Ash "why is it hot?"
-"extremely," said Danny as he was coming out of his room "I've been plenty of times blue seas, great women, great views, and of course great food"
-Kayle "have you ever been to Olympus then?
-Danny "yeah my father paid so we could climb it one time, it was while ago but I just remember snow there is nothing up there"

A short while later they were on a plane, not their usual one since it was still getting repaired but still, they were in first class  all sitting next to each other Nicola on the aisle and Kayle next to the window and with Danny next to him both of them looking out at the clouds trying to make out what city they were over. Ash was listening to music and studying  Shakspere and Nicola was reading a romantic novel
-Kayle "it's kinda strange that I could have flown on my own to Greece," Nicola without looking up from her book just said "you could also control the weather and the wind transform into any animal you want, and that's just the tip of the iceberg, but you don't have all your powers yet" Kayle was left with his mouth wide open with excitement.
-Kayle "being a God is the best"
-Ash "can you keep it down I'm trying to read"
-Kayle "why even bother studying you are a God now" Ash took his headphones off and seemed annoyed  
-Ash "its what my brother would have wanted, he died trying to protect me and my future" he started to get upset but Danny put his arms around him
-Danny "come on mate you know he didn't mean it like that"
-Kayle "yeah mate I'm sorry"
-Ash "it's ok, it's just hard you know I've lost all my family"
-Kayle "you have us buddy and we won't be going anywhere"
-Ash "how can you be so sure?"
-Kayle "well we are all on the same plane if it goes down we will go down together" Ash giggled 
-Ash "which reminds me" he turned to Nicola "Nicola aren't we supposed to be immortal?" Nicola faced him and just shrugged her shoulders and said "I really don't know, I guess we just have to find out" they all just kind of stared at her 
-Kayle "well thank you for clearing that up"  Nicola looked at her watch 
-Nicola "half an hour till we land I'd better go to the toilet before the descent starts, anyone else?" they all shook their heads and sat silently they were all thinking the same thing "what would it be like to be immortal" 
A flash outside of the right side of the plane and the plane shook and tilted to the side Kayl looked out of the window, the wing was on fire and there was a massive hole on side of the plane were everything was getting sucked out from he flew out and under the wing while Ash summoned his spirits to create a seal on the hole so no one would fly out and Kayle stabilized the plane and it was steady for now. 
 "are you guys ok?" she said over the communication watches 
-Ash "holding on"
-Kayle "could be better"
-Danny "I'm just fine"
-Nicola "Kayle try and hold on till we land I'll talk to the pilots" Nicola knocked on the door of the cockpit but got no response but she could smell something, something only dark creatures smell of, its like a bucket of rotten meat soaked in sun-bleached blood and forgotten about in an old night club toilet. She called Danny to her
-Nicola "break this door down"
-Danny "why?" 
-Nicola "there are demons in there" Danny with one swing of his mighty fist broke the door down and indeed standing there all black with blood red eyes was a demon at its feet there were the two pilots, dead, it screamed and charged Danny grabbed a water bottle that an elderly woman was holding and he started bashing the creature with it, he waster holding it he was just controlling the water inside it, he yelled to Ash to open the door and for a second Ash removed the spirits from the hole and Danny grabbed the monster by the neck and threw it out and Ash covered up the hole again. Nicola was already in the cockpit trying to stabilize the plane but she stared blankly outside the window, Danny locked at where she was looking and saw what seemed like women with bird feet, wings, and beaks 
-Nicola "harpies" 
-Danny "Herpes? 
-Nicola "no harpies, winged creatures and it looks like they are coming for us" Danny grabbed a few water bottles and drew out the water about enough to fill a sink, he told Ash what was going on and Danny jumped out of the plane with him Ash was still trying his best to keep the hole sealed but he also had spirits hold Danny and himself on the top of the plane.
-Ash ''ready?"
-Danny "as ready as I'll ever be"  and then the harpies came close enough to attack there must have been a few dozen at least at this point. They attacked with their beaks and claws Danny using his water to grab them and pull them closer and punched them out Ash was sending spirits to hold them down as Danny was taking them out. after few of them were down Danny tried to show off and jumped and started flying backward of the plane using his water at the last second to hold on to the tail fin, Ash was alone now he started to absorb the spirits and firing blasts of energy a little trick he learned to do about a week ago.
blasting them all out of the sky his power was draining quickly he was feeling faint but they were getting close to the ground at this point so he couldn't give up, but then they all attacked at once as he pulled up his spirits to protect himself they all got struck by lighting. Kayle is all about those last minute saves but it was too late Ashe's power was drained and he gave in and passed out, he flew towards the back of the plane, were Danny caught him just in time.  The harpies left in a hurry as they touched the ground.
After a few short hours of police questioning and crowds calling them superheroes witch Kayle loved they left Athens airport and started a long drive towards Mount Olympus.
They arrived at the foot of the mountain 
-Ash "doesn't look very special to me"
-Nicola "that's because it isn't, now Kayle fly us up" Kayle sighed and he reluctantly flew them up the side of the mountain to the peek, he was still exhausted by the incident with the plane he was on the floor by the time he got the last person to the top.
-Danny "I don't see anything up here"
-Nicola "you're not supposed too" she reached into her pocket and pulled out a gold coin and put it on the ground and magically the coin started to hover in the air and was growing wider and wider soon it was as tall as a door and the center of the coin vanished only the edges remained, in the middle it turned white them you could start to make out a large palace a garden and Mr. Robinson standing there waiting to greet them, 
-Mr. Robinson "boys welcome home"

Kayle, Danny, and Ash walked through the portal and found them selfs in Olympus it was the most beautiful golden palace you could possibly imagine with gardens full of the most exotic and magnificent flowers, it was paradise.
-"welcome back" they looked behind them were the portal had now disappeared standing there was a beautiful woman wearing robes sandals and a helmet holding a spear that seemed so sharp you could cut your self just by looking at it. She bowed in front of them and said "my fellow Gods it has been too long, you don't remember me but I am Athena Goddess of wisdom and warfare" they all introduced themselves. 
-Mr. Robinson "right Nicola you come with me let the Gods catch up" Nicola followed Mr. Robinson to the palace while Athena took Kayle, Danny, and Ash for a walk around the garden.
 -Athena "so how are you finding your new bodies and powers?
-Kayle "I think we are starting to get used to them"
-Athena "yes and I suppose the fact that you are now Gods was quite a shock?"
-Danny "well at first maybe but then it just got worse with the whole saving the world thing
-Athena "I see, and are you ready to face the Titans once more?"
-Ash "you bet"
-Athena "amazing you are rotating between question and answering for each other, you are already perfectly in sync with each other"
-Kayle, Danny, Ash "are we?" Athena giggled 
-Athena "you can't help it, it's natural after all you are brothers"
-Ash "and I guess that makes you Kayle's daughter"
-Kayle "what?"
-Ash "I studied a bit" Athena laughed loudly
-Athena "indeed Zeus is my father but Kayle is not, well physically at least. Danny, I have something important to tell you, we have found where your power is"
-Danny "were is it?"
-Athena " I was getting to that be patient, it's sealed inside your trident which is at your undersea castle"
-Danny "well that shouldn't be o hard to get"
-Athena " patience I am not finished, your trident and your castle are both being held by Oceanus" Danny took a step back and composed himself before asking 
-Danny "and where do we find him?"

The very next day they were ready to go they had to make their way to the deepest darkest part of the ocean, the challenger deep the southern part of the Mariana trench 36.200 feet underwater. 
-Danny "Alright guys are you ready?"
-Ash "no"
-Kayle "not a chance"
-Danny "why what's wrong guys?
-Ash "we are going to die down there"
-Kayle "I heard that the pressure down there is so intense it can crush a human in seconds," Danny with his normal cheery attitude said "well good thing We're Gods then" and left the room.
-Nicola "I hope you boys are ready"
-Danny "the guys seem a bit scared, I think it might be too dangerous down there"
-Nicola "don't worry Mr. Robinson has something planned"
and in a few short hours, they were in a privet military plane flying over the ocean on their way to Poseidon's Castle. A long time later they were getting close so Nicola led the guys to a different part of the plane where there was a small submarine.
-Kayle "will we all fit in that?" it did seem too small to hold three buffed to the bone men 
-Mr. Robinson "for you and Ash yes Danny, however, shall be on the outside of it making sure you are alive"
-Ash "good to know"
-Nicola "get in we don't have much time left" Kayle and Ash crammed themselves into the tiny submarine and Danny strapped himself to the top of it, then the floor opened and they were dropped into the sea Danny unstrapped himself and used his water powers to push the others down further and further.
It seemed like hours had passed but the only thing that changed was that it was getting darker and darker soon they opened the lights and saw a whole new world.
Fish that they had never seen before, giant fish that they had seen before but were gigantic, and the deeper they went the more it came into view. A castle inside a bubble it seemed funny at first but the closer they got the more they could make out the countess bead bodies on the walls and on the floor of the castle skeletons and skulls of people and various animals decorated the walls they brought the submarine right up to the bubble and Danny used his water power do bring it to the floor. There was air inside the bubble and the air was almost as fresh as it was on the surface.
-Nicola "ok guys you on the ground?" she asked over the communication device in the sub
-Kayle "yes what do we do now?"
-Nicola "ok Oceanus is inside the castle he had Poseidon's trident, kill Oceanus to send him to Tartarus in the underworld and get the trident. Oh but Kayle something we forgot to mention is you cant use your lighting power underwater"
-Kayle "WHAT??" 
-Nicola "well unless you want to kill everyone go ahead"
-Kayle "on second thought fair enough"
They got out of the sub and slowly walked inside the castle there was no door just the hinges on which one should be, they heard laughter coming from above, in an otherwise dark and cold castle there seemed to be one room that was bright were voices were coming from so they made there way up the stairs.
They were feet from the door that so they peeked inside to see a giant bearded man that was dripping with water in front of him was a table filled with food and drink Danny nearly vomited when he saw some people on the table, he was so enormous he could easily fit a full grown man in his mouth and swallow him whole and he did so a few times before they took a step back to come up with a plan, but they heard a scream and a crash there was a woman behind them with a tray on the floor with they assumed she dropped Kayle immediately grabbed her and dragged her into another room with the others Oceanus did not hear anything he was laughing to loudly to notice.
-Kayle "ok I'm going to let you go slowly but you're not going to scream or we will kill you" he did not mean this but he wanted to sound intimidating. He let go of the woman who fell the ground and bowed before Danny "my king you have returned" she said "we were waiting for you to come back for centuries, oh mighty Poseidon has come to save us"
-Danny "what is your name?" she dared not look up "I am Litsa, my lord"
-Danny "and how do you know I'm Poseidon"
-Litsa "I and my people have served you for millennia we would recognize you in any form"
-Ash "can you help us?" Litsa hissed at Ash 
-Litsa "I ONLY ANSWER TO MY LORD"
-Danny "don't worry Litsa this is Kayle and Ash also knows as Zeus and Hades"
-Litsa "you have bared my name upon your lips what an honor"
-Kayle "well this is getting very old very fast"
-Danny "listen Litsa I need you to help us kill Oceanus and take back my trident"
-Litsa "quick then you must go to the bottom of the castle that's were my people reside rally them, they will help you fight" 
They all heard Oceanus stand up and roar 
-Oceanus "MUSIC I NEED MUSIC GET ME MUSIC"
Lista led them downstairs into the dungeon of the castle, it was darker and colder the smell of death and rotten flesh chains with bodies cages with spikes, needless to say, they were all quite jumpy. Soon they reached a large room where there were countless people on the floor at first they all seemed to be sleeping but as they got closer they saw that they were all in pain on the floor there faces torn apart from terror and agony. Litsa walked up to an old blind man and whispered in his ear "ancient one, he is here Poseidon is here to save us" the old man who was the people wise man/elder/leader of this underwater nation turned his ear to her said said "impossible he is dead" Litsa grabbed his hand and Danny's and put them together and said "then who is this?" the old man fell the ground begging "my lord I'm sorry I'm an old blind fool I did not see" Danny stopped him and brought him to his feet.
-Danny "its ok sir, listen we need your help to defeat Oceanus and get back my trident, can you help us?" the old man paused then he put his hand on Danny's face and said "Poseidon would have killed me for such foolishness, it seems as if you came back different" Ash put his head down, he knew the old man was right for he had studied the legends the Gods that they used to be were basically evil for the most part, stories or rape, murder, kidnapping, and that's just the tip of the start of their long list of crimes. But Danny had no clue and just said.
-Danny "well then I guess I might have changed a bit, but I'm still Poseidon so will you follow me?" the elder and all the people who were on the floor starving stood up and bowed before them and the elder said " to Tartarus and back my lord"
They set up their plan carefully and soon they were ready. Kayle, Danny, and Ash were dressed as servants and were sent to serve food to Oceanus, they walked into his room were he was waving his arms to the music being played by the terrified musicians. 
they set the food on the table and near instantly Danny saw his trident Oceanus was using it as a fork to eat his food they were heading towards the exit but they were stopped by a thundering voice.
-Oceanus "were are you going without worship?" they froze and turned around slowly and said nothing "well come and worship me servants" they went in front him and got on their knees and started bowing as he laughed "oh I do so love it when lesser being see how mighty I am" one of the musicians stopped playing and collapsed from starvation and exhaustion. Oceanus stabbed him with the trident as the musician was screaming in agony as Oceanus put him in his mouth and proceeded to chew him up as all three of the Gods were fuming with anger but they knew that they couldn't do anything, not yet but Danny was gagging with anger and disgust Oceanus laughed when he saw this and said "what wrong little one did I chew with my mouth open?" 
hen all the servants came into the room all of them holding a pot full of seawater and any weapons and armor they could find "what is this?" asked Oceanus Litsa stepped out of the crowd and faced him with sword in hand "we are not serving you anymore" Oceanus stood up towering over all of them by a house or two and said "what makes you think you can do that?" Litsa holding her pot and sword close to her heart said "we served you a long time ago you were a tyrant then as you are now but then when Poseidon became Gods of the sea we swore to protect him our lives he treated us well he protected us and in his name we shall kill you Oceanus" he laughed band over to his enormous face was right in front of Litsas "Poseidon might have called himself the God of the sea but I AM THE SEA, I cannot be killed while you so called God is dead he is not coming to save you. Now get back to work before I change my mind" while all this was going on our three Gods were trying to get closer and closer to the trident witch Oceanus had left in his pocket. are you starting to see the plan now?
-Litsa "you're wrong Poseidon lives he lives and rules he is coming for you when he does you will go back to Tartarus you monster" Oceanus was fuming with anger he lifted his palm with intent to squash Litsa and a few others Litsa closed her eyes preparing for the worst but before he could strike he heard a voice
-Danny " hey ugly why don't you pick on someone your own size?"
-Oceanus "so it's true then you have come back?" 
-Kayle "yeah and we're ready to take you down" 
-Ash "and save the world"
-Oceanus "well you are nothing as long as I have thi.." he reached into his pocket but couldn't find what he was looking for 
-Danny "looking for this?" Danny held up the trident and waved it all the seawater that the servants were holding in their pots few out and surrounded Oceanus but he just laughed 
-Oceanus "is this what you do with your power? pathetic" Oceanus roared and the water took the form of horses by his side "this is what you can do with your power"
-Danny "well what do we do now?"
-Ash "we rise" as absorbed his spirits and became bigger and bigger until he was almost as tall as the Titan if not for a few feet and started throwing and receiving punches
 even the servants used all they had left to attack 
-Kayle "right Danny we need to think of something"
-Danny "this is my fight I'll figure something out you help them out" and Kayle was off striking in the Titans blind spots. Suddenly one of the water horses charged towards Danny and he had an idea, he held his hand out to try and control the water horse but it kept charging until it stopped, it looked at him confused and put its nose in his hand it recognized him and it started to sing, all the fighting stopped as all the water horses gathered around Danny smelling and playing with him he climbed on the biggest one and his rident started to grow and were it had been rusty and old it started to turn silver and grew larger Oceanus looked blankly at Danny and said.
"I AM THE OCEAN I CONTROL YOU, YOU ARE MINE" 
-Danny "you might be the Ocean Oceanus but I AM YOUR KING" and Danny charged with his horses towards him stabbing his trident right through the Titans heart, Oceanus fell to the ground and started to turn into dust 
-Oceanus "I will return from Tartarus and I will kill you Poseidon" and he disappeared
-Kayle "yes I knew you could do it"
-Ash "I thought we were going to die to be honest"
-Litsa "my lord you have set us free we shall serve you once more" they all bowed before Danny but he raised them to their feet 
-Danny "my people eat, drink gain your strength and numbers back we will send supplies I will return when the war is over" after some farewells  they made their way back to the submarine and they headed up towards the surface Danny on his horse of course  but Kayle had a thought to himself for a few seconds looking back all this "well at least things can't get any worse" but little did he know that this was only the beginning.
