"So, what now?" Storm asked still on his bed.
"Do you know how to cook?" Penny asked as she continued to lean against the desk. Nodding hesitantly, Storm continued to sit on the edge of the bed but without holding his head this time. "Then get dressed and go cook something downstairs," Penny commanded. "After that, we have to go to the mall for your new wardrobe. And before you ask, I do not want to be seen with some geeky guy in public."
Leaving the room, Penny went downstairs while Storm stood up and was still in his clothes from the interrogation. But looking at the foot of the bed, he saw the set of clothes that Penny had pulled out from the closet.
The set of clothes consisted of a black tank top, a pair of jeans and a jean jacket. Putting them on he also noticed some changes to his body. He wasn't any taller, but the body fat he had built up over the years had disappeared and been replaced by a flat stomach and slimmer appendages.
"That physique stat must've done this to me." He concluded as he stripped himself of his old clothes and put the new ones on. Surprisingly, they were a perfect fit for his new form, almost suspiciously so perfect. But not paying a second thought to it, Storm left his room and went downstairs into the lounge of the house where Penny was watching some show on the television.
Ignoring her, Storm headed toward the kitchen and opened the fridge before even glancing at the other furnishings in the small addition to the house. Taking out a carton of eggs, he set it on the countertop between the oven and sink before looking around to see what he could use. There were multiple appliances in the kitchen, some that he didn't know, but there was another counter that blocked off the kitchen and lounge, though Penny could clearly see him even with the counter separating the rooms.
"What do you want for breakfast?" Storm asked rudely, feeling a bit tired from all the stuff he'd been through lately.
"Can you make omelets?" She asked, not taking her eyes off the screen.
Groaning, Storm went back to the carton of eggs and didn't even bother to answer her question. Instead, he just pulled out a pan and went to the fridge for more supplies before starting to make the omelets for Penny and himself. When he was done with the omelets, he found plates to put them on before setting the plates on the counter between the lounge and kitchen.
Hearing the plates hit the countertop, Penny got up and grabbed a stool before eating the meal silently. Across the counter, Storm leaned forward and ate his meal in the same awkward silence as her. Finishing the meal in just a matter of a few minutes, Penny got up and set her plate in the sink.
"Not too bad for someone who just graduated high school." She shrugged before going back to the lounge and grabbing a set of keys that were left on the coffee table. "But let's get going to the mall."
Finishing up his own meal, Storm set his plate in the sink after rinsing it. "Yeah, yeah, let's just get this over with." Walking out the door, Penny went into the driveway and sat in the driver's seat of a Jaguar. But once Storm stepped in the driveway, he stopped in his place. "Is that a Jaguar? Where did you get the money for this?"
"It's an XF model, it could be fancier, but either way, don't make a mess in here," Penny warned through the open passenger's window. "And hurry it up or else I won't pay for that new wardrobe you need."
Heeding her words, Storm hurried into the passenger's seat of the car, careful not to scratch or leave a mark on anything. But once he did get in, Penny already started reversing out of the driveway, trying to hurry to the mall before all the teenage girls started their shopping.
After about half an hour, the two arrived at the mall and Penny led Storm to the first store where she searched through aisles of clothes and made Storm carry whatever she picked out. Though he questioned the thought process she had by going through picking out clothes without asking him, even if he wanted to pick a few pairs of clothes, he didn't know his new sizes. He just hoped no one would recognize him with his new physique changes.
