I can't believe mama made me move here with her. Texas was just fine, but no, apparently Oklahoma had more opportunities and better schools. I believed her up until the day came where I had to go to school. I looked at myself in the mirror and sighed, knowing how this year would be.
I always got good marks in school but I was never one for making friends or getting along with people. I only had a few friends back in Texas, that now that I think about it, they weren't really friends.
I knew the second I walk into that school people would stare, not just because of my pale skin and freckles, but because of how short my hair is. I have short red fluffy hair, that frames my heart shaped face. It's always the same.
I sigh and put on my jeans jacket, over my blouse and skirt shaking my head as I do.
"(Y/N)!" My mom calls up the stairs "Hurry up now!"
"I'm coming ma!" I say and grab my small bags and bound down the stairs. Our house was small and run down, the living room and kitchen were connected. Although there was a second floor it only had two small bedrooms, mine of course being the smallest.
"Are you hungry?" My mom asks I shake my head
"No let's just get this day over with" I mutter and head out the door, not even saying goodbye to my mom as I begin walking down the poorly paved road. With my head down I walk to school, I was a sophmore this year, but I don't suppose that will matter. I looked up at that school and sigh, it was just as I imagined it. It looked nothing like my old school though.
I walked up the steps and head to my first class. Algebra. Great.
My classroom was on the second floor, so I had to go up a flight of stairs where some teens hung out. They all gave me a weird look as I walked past with my head down. I arrived to class and sat in the very back.
God almighty it was loud, a bunch of kids were hopping over desks chasing each other around. You'd think we were in kindergarten with how they acted.
Just as the bell rang a guy with greasy black hair, that curled around his ears and neck came in. He had tan skin and an big scar on his cheek. His eyes met mine for a moment but he quickly turned away. The seat next to me was the only one available so he slowly walked over and sat down.
I smile a little as I looked at him. He was pretty good looking and I needed friends so what was there to lose by talking to him.
"Hi" I said quietly as the class settled down. He looks over at me with his big black eyes
"H-hi..." He said, his voice trembling.
"I'm (y/n)" I smile warmly.
"Um... my name's Johnny" he says, nervously looking down at his hands. It was obvious he was a nervous wreck, and I'm sure the loud class didn't help his nerves.
"I hope you're good at algebra, because I'll be asking a lot of questions about it " I say and laugh, just trying to lighten the mood
"No promise, I'm about as good at math as a billy goat" Johnny says, a hint of a smile on his face.My Johnny💜 I hope yall enjoyed this. It's been a while since if written so I'm sorry if this is as terrible as I think it is
