Chapter Three

My first two classes this morning was a blur. I was so tired that I couldn't even pay much attention to what was happening. It seemed that even my morning coffee couldn't jolt me awake. Lucky for me all we did in both of my classes was review the syllabus and discuss what we would be doing on the next class day.

It was 10:40 in the morning and I had one more class to get through before I could call it a day and head back to my dorm room to take a much needed nap. Yes, I am eighteen years old and I proudly admit to taking midday naps.

I met up with Erica inside of the Math and Science building since we had algebra together. We walked into the classroom and chose to sit at a table towards the back of the room. Class didn't start for another ten minutes so everyone who got there early was just chatting among themselves.

"I see you managed to get yourself another cup of coffee," Erica said as she eyed me taking a sip.

I set my paper coffee cup on the table and placed my backpack on the back of my chair. "Yeah well you know how I am in the mornings. I just seem to be struggling to keep my eyelids from shutting today."

Erica shook her head at me and started grabbing a notebook and a pen out of her handbag. I downed the rest of my coffee and got up from my seat to throw it away in the trash can at the front of the room near the door. Did classrooms not believe in having more than one trashcan in a room?

Just as I was tossing my paper cup in the trash, another hand was also reaching to throw something away. I looked up and was met with a pair of blue eyes. Those same damn gorgeous, icy blue eyes.

Unlike the last time we met, I actually managed to find my voice and speak to him.  "Hi," I said.

He smiled at me. "Hey."

Before I could say anything else, he and his friend walked past me to sit at the table directly in front of the one I was sitting at. I walked back to my table and sat down.

As soon as I did, Erica leaned in to me. "Isn't that the guy from the café?" She whispered.

"Yep," I whispered back.

Her eyebrows raised and her green eyes widened a bit. She opened her mouth to reply just as our professor walked in.

"Good morning everyone, my name is Professor Murdoch and welcome to algebra." After our professor introduced the class and went of the syllabus, he passed out a worksheet for us to complete in groups for the rest of the class period.

Once we were finished, we were dismissed for the day. Yeah, I could tell he was going to be my favorite professor. Everyone quickly paired up with each other, so the class was buzzing with conversation.

The blonde guy who sat in front of Erica and I turned around to face us. "Hey, you guys want to group up with us?"

The guy with the blue eyes turned around as well and looked directly at me giving me a small smile.

"Sure," Erica said giving them her best smile.

I inwardly rolled my eyes because I had a feeling I knew where this was going to end up.

"I'm Hunter by the way and this is my friend Greyson, Grey for short."

Grey gave us a little wave of the hand at the mention of his name. At least now I knew his name.

"My name is Erica and this is my best friend Cassie."

I smiled at the two boys in front of me, my focus mainly on Grey. It's those eyes I swear. They're hypnotizing. After introducing ourselves, we started on the worksheet. Although I had to admit that I was distracted. I kept trying to steal a few glances at Grey. I just couldn't help it!
