Often times when something exciting happens to you, you wake up the next day thinking if it really happened or not. That's how I woke up feeling this morning.
It was as if last night was just a dream...a really good dream. As I lay in my bed reminiscing on the events that took place yesterday, my phone started ringing.
I reached for it quickly so it wouldn't disturb Erica, who was still sleeping. I looked at the caller ID and my heart began to race. It was like he knew I was thinking about him.
"Hello," I answered. I immediately wondered if Grey could hear my smile through the phone.
"Good morning, beautiful. How are you this morning?"
As if the smile on my face couldn't get any bigger. "I'm doing just fine, how are you?"
"I'm better now that I'm talking to you," he replied.
"Well aren't you sweet," I said.
His deep chuckle seemed to travel through the phone and into my body which had begun to tingle.
"So, I'm on my way to work right now, but I was wondering if you were available later this afternoon."
My heart was beating so loudly that I glanced over at Erica to make sure the sound hadn't woken her up.
"I'm free. What did you have in mind?"
"I have a few ideas, but I haven't decided yet."
"Well whatever you decide I'm on board as long as we're together."
"As happy as I am for you, is it possible that you could tone the cuteness down until I'm fully awake," Erica mumbled out of nowhere.
I turned my head towards her and she was looking at me with one eye open. I mouthed 'sorry', then she closed her eye and turned towards the wall.
"I have to go, before Erica threatens to throw my phone out the window," I told him causing him to chuckle again. "Okay, then I'll come by your room later. Make sure you're ready to go."
As soon as we said goodbye, I hung up the phone and got out of bed. I was stretching my arms above my head when I heard Erica speak again. She was still facing the wall when she spoke.
"So, where's Mr. Hot stuff taking you on your first date?"
I dropped my arms and looked at her incredulously.
"How did you―"
"Oh, come on Cass it's not that hard to put together," she said.
I shook my head and walked to the bathroom to take a shower.

In no time at all I was all dressed for my first date with Grey. We had been texting while he had been at work and he still hadn't told me where we were going.
However, he told me to just dress comfortably, so I put on some blue skinny jeans, a lavender colored V-neck sweater, and paired it with my black ankle boots. I had just gotten the dark curls on my head to be tame when there was a knock at the door.
Before I could move, Erica had beaten me to it. "I'll get it!" I rolled my eyes at her actions.
Apparently, she was more excited about this first date than I was.
"Come on in," Erica said.
The butterflies in my stomach suddenly erupted in a frenzy when Grey walked into the room.
