(Death Note) - L X Reader Oneshots #3

Issues

(A/N): Yeah, I'm out of ideas again so have this weird thing. Also, in this story L will be a little younger than what he actually is. In this oneshot, he'll be around 17. And so will the reader. And I couldn't think of a title D:

I was super excited. My parents were letting my boyfriend, L, stay over at my house for the night. It was L's first time coming over too since he lives a little further away. I couldn't wait for him to meet my mum and dad.

"Are you sure you're parents will be okay with me staying over?" L asked.

"Of course! They wouldn't let you stay if they weren't!" I replied.

It was easy to tell how nervous L was just by looking at him. I grabbed onto his right arm and hugged it tightly.

"Don't worry. They're gonna love you and you're gonna fit right into the family."

That made L smile a little.

"I hope they like the sweets I bought for them" L said, his grip tightening slightly on the bag he was carrying in his left hand.

"You really didn't have to get them anything by the way!" I say, still surprised L went out and bought sweets for my parents.

"Of course I did. I'm thankful that they are letting me stay over today and I gotta make a good first impression. I want them to like me (Y/N)" L said.

I smiled at him as we reached my house.

"You ready?" I ask him.

He hesitates but nods back.

I knock on the door before opening it and walking in.

"I'm home!" I shout. "And I brought a guest with me!"

"Hey there (Y/N)!"

I hear my mum calling from the kitchen. She must be making food or something.

"Come on. Don't be shy!" I say to L, grabbing his hand and pulling him to the kitchen.

"This is my mum by the way" I say to him, gesturing to my mum who stopped chopping up vegetables and came over to us.

"Hi there. You must be Ryuzaki" my mum held out her hand for L to shake.
"Please call me (M/N)."

"N-Nice to meet you (M/N)" L replied, taking her hand and shaking it, obviously nervous.

"You seem like a very nice boy. (Y/N) told me all about you. She seems to talk about you a lot" my mum giggled, making me blush.

"Mum!"

"Does she now?" L looked over at me and smirked.

"Well...sometimes..." I reply, fidgeting.

L and my mum both giggled.

"Where's dad?" I ask my mum, trying to change the subject.

"He's repairing his shed in the back garden. Some random kids decided to destroy it so he's not in a good mood right now. It's best if you leave him alone until he's finished it" my mum replied.

"Right..."

"Oh, I'd like to give you this" L said, reaching into his bag and pulling out a box of chocolates before handing them to my mum.

"For me?" She seemed surprised. L nodded.

"Thank you very much! I like you already!"

I watched the sweet moment of L and my mum smiling at each other as she accepts L's chocolates. It seems like the two will get along very well.
