Blind Date

"Why am I doing this again?" I sigh.

"Because you really need to get out more and I'm just so confused that you don't have a boyfriend, (Y/N), because you are so cute" Misa said, adjusting the top button on my dress.

"I'm pretty sure I can do all this myself Misa" I reply.

So Misa had decided to arrange a blind date for me. I didn't even agree to do this, but it was too late for me to turn down now, everything was already in place. And there's no point arguing with Misa, she'll always win.

"Why do I have to wear this outfit?" I ask.

"Because it's a date (Y/N). You gotta look fresh outta the box!" Misa replied.

"And why do I have to wear so much make-up?"

"Why do you ask so many questions? Just shut up and let me fix you up so you actually look like you're going on a date and not a prison!" Misa snapped, spraying hair spray in my now curled hair to keep it together.

"I hate you" I snarled.

"You'll love me when this whole thing is over" Misa giggled.
"Now you better get going or you'll be late! Can't be late for a date!"

Misa then started pushing me out the room.

L's Pov

"This is ridiculous" I say.

"Oh be quiet will you and hold still so I can fix your tie" Light said, adjusting the tie around my neck.

"It's too tight!" I complain.

"Hey! That's as good as I can get it! Now stop being a baby would you?" Light snapped.

"What is even the point in this?" I ask. "For what reason do I need to go on a date?"

"Because it's time you started going out more. You lack social skills so this could be helpful to you a lot" Light simply replied.

"But I have an important case to solve."

"Kira isn't making any moves at this point in time. So until then, we should all keep ourselves occupied huh? And I'm not having you just sitting there doing nothing like you always do. You gotta learn how to interact. It could be really useful to you in the future" Light said.

I just narrowed my eyes at him before sighing.

"Whatever..."

Light took a step back and looked me up and down.

"Perfect. You're ready to go" he said, before pushing me out the door.

"Wait! How will I even know what to say?!" I ask.

"Once the conversation starts, you'll know what to do, don't worry. Good luck!"

Later

Your Pov

I was sitting at a table for two, where I was told to meet up, waiting for my date.

I was going to kill Misa when this was over. I was so nervous!

'I wonder what my date looks like.' I thought to myself. 'I wonder if they'll be an interesting person to me.'

Just as I was getting lost in my train of thoughts, I notice the seat across from me be pulled back and a man sat down on the seat. Well, he actually crouched on the seat, holding his knees to his chest.

Wait a second...

"R-Ryuzaki?!" I state, shocked.

"Oh! (Y/N)?" He replied, his eyes wide.
