Chapter Three

We weren't even here for 15 minutes when I had lost track of Lillian's movement and gave up trying to look for her knowing she would eventually show up to play stupid games later in the night. I was in the kitchen making myself a drink when someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around and saw Finn. I smiled at him

"Hey what are you doing here?" he asked his word slurred a bit and I could smell the alcohol on his breath

"I'm here with Lillian" I said he nodded before walking away probably to find Lillian I continued to make my drink after I finished I went and sat on the couch at the far end I spotted Finn and Lillian talking and she looked pissed off she caught me staring and mouthed 'help me' I got up and walked over to them

"What's going on?" I asked

"Nothing" Finn said I looked over at Lillian

"He is mad because he found me making out with a guy in one of the rooms" She said

"I thought you guys broke up" I said

"We did" They both said at the same time

"So what's the problem?" I asked confused

"She can't just be making out with any guy she sees" He said we both looked at him like he was crazy

"What is the matter with you?" I said looking at him

"You were the one that said we needed to see new people so you shouldn't get mad about this" Lillian said he huffed and walked away Lillian grabbed the cup out of my hand and drank it in one gulp

"Slow down" I said she gasped at the sudden burning sensation of my drink

"That's strong" She said

"Yeah I know" I said

"Make me one" She said

"Are you sure?" I asked she nodded and I walked to the kitchen to make the drinks I saw Finn grab his jacket and walking out the house I sighed and grabbed the vodka and soda I made two separate drinks n when I turned around I saw him the guy whose name I didn't know yet promised he would prove me wrong

"Hey" I said

"Hey" He said looking at my drinks

"This one isn't for me" I said holding up Lillian's cup that had a lipstick stain on it he nodded and I smiled

"Where's your friend?" He asked I pointed to the couch where Lillian was sitting

"Do you want to come with me?" I asked

"Let me just get a drink first" He said I nodded and he quickly grabbed a cup and poured vodka and cranberry juice and tasted it before pouring a little more juice and tasting it again when he was satisfied he walked over to me the song was changed halfway through and I saw Lillian get up and started dancing

"Your friend seems to be having a lot of fun" He said

"She getting over a break up" I said looking over to Lillian

"Me too" He said

"Really what happened?" I asked

"She wanted different things" He said

"Yeah I know what you mean" I said

"Her name was Amelia we dated for four years" He said

"That's a long time" I said he nodded

"She cheated on me with my best friend" He said I gasped and he looked at me

"How did you find out?" I asked

"I walked into the bedroom when they were doing it" He said

"I'm sorry" I said

"It's fine not your fault" He said

"I never got your name" I said

"It's Oliver" He said

"My name is Jean" I said

"I know I sit behind you in graphics design" He said

"Why do you take graphics designs?" I asked

"I like to draw" He said

"What's your major?" I asked

"Early Childhood Development I want to be a teacher" He said

"That's great I think it suits you" I said

"Yeah I love kds" He said I smiled thinking of Ember

"I love kids too" I said I looked at my phone

"Your friend seemed to have passed out" He said pointing over to Lillian I nodded and we walked over to her I pulled her up and helped her put her jacket on

"I guess this is where we say goodbye" I said

"Can I walk you guys home it's late and i wouldn't want you guys walking alone" He said

"Alright but only if we get food I saw a Mcdonalds on our walk over here" I sad

"Sounds like a plan" He said I smiled and he held Lillian as I put my jacket on and we walked out as soon as the cold air hit us Lillian woke up and looked confused

"We are going to McDonalds and then we are going home" I said to her she nodded and pulled away from me and started walking ahead of us

"What are you getting from McDonalds?" Oliver asked

"I usually get 10 piece nuggets and large fries and Lillian gets 4 cheeseburgers and a large sprite and then we sit in our room and watch old movies and share our food until we fall asleep watching the Breakfast Club" I said

"That sounds like fun" He said

"I've seen the breakfast club so many times I can recite the whole movie to you" I said

"Please do I love the sound of your voice" He said I could feel my cheeks heat up and I looked down at the ground

"Maybe another time" I said we stopped in front of the McDonalds

"After you" He said holding the door open for the both of us Lillian and I stood at the kiosk machine thing and started ordering Oliver stood in the corner on his phone

"Are you ordering anything?" I asked

"I'll order when you guys are done" He said I nodded and we finished up our order and divided our total for us two each came out to $8.00 each and we got our ticket to pay at the counter and each got out our 8 dollars Lillian gave me her money and paid

"Jean can you help me?" Oliver asked I walked over to him

"What's wrong?" I asked

"I don't know how to order on this thing" He said I helped him order and he paid with his card we got our food and we continued our journey back to the dorms

"We have a pull out couch" Lillian said out of nowhere we both looked at her

"Are you inviting me to sleep over?" Oliver asked

"I was inviting you to watch the breakfast club with us and if you fell asleep it wouldn't be a problem because we have a pull out couch" She said winking at me I sighed he looked at me

"Okay you can come and watch the breakfast club with us" I said they both smiled and we continued to walk to the dorms
